I am watching vids of it and it looks extremely similar to both Dark Souls games right down to the combat and animations and much of its menu design.
Now, I am not a massive fan of the Souls games. I liked them a lot! But what does this game offer that the others dont? I am cynical right now. Speak to me like you want to win me over.

...where the hell are you guys that people keep talking to you while you're wearing headphones? On the bus or something I understand. Perhaps if you're in the grocery store or around friends and family you should knock that shit off.
Gym for me.

Do they not realize that you cannot hear a word they say? Older people are the worst culprits of this. Many times when I am listening to my music, somebody walks up to me and starts talking and by the time I take my headphones off, they look at me like I'm deaf.

Because the excuse that 30fps somehow makes the game "better" for their vision simply is. After playing a game in 30 and then jumping to 60, there is no enhancement in the way the game presents its story, it does not make me feel like "OMG I am in a frikin movie!" Games are not supposed to be movies, if I wanted to watch a movie then I would. Take The Order 1886 for example; the devs put so much time into making it feel like a movie. With its black bars, cutscene usage, and its frame rate. After playing it, I kept thinking to myself that there is nothing the FPS is doing to make this game better. It did not enhance anything for its presentation. It just gave me a less smooth camera and more motion blur. If the game somehow had 60FPS, then it would have been nearly the same. FPS does nothing to give you a "cinematic experience" that is done by whats in the game, its gameplay, and style of story telling you put into it. this all just seems to stem from personal opinion, which is fine, but i still don't know why it matters so much
you talk about how games are not supposed to be movies--i mean, i disagree in the sense that, you know... movies are pretty fucking cool
i don't see why games shouldn't try to emulate them in some way
so for you, maybe the fps doesn't do anything to make it feel like a movie, but for someone else, it might
and personally, i just don't see a reason to care at all about it if you were really okay with games running at 30fps, you wouldn't be so passionate about this... "issue"
if your problem is with developer lies in general, i can understand that a little better but your fixation over this one little thing is kinda... i don't know, it just begs questioning
Its just the lie for me. I dont mind it one way or the other. They seem to place the FPS in contributing to making their game feel "cinematic" when thats the other stuffs job.

The game has been delayed to the end of June. But we get some direct feed from a PS4 on the game. Things are seeming pretty hairy for Gotham!

-30 FPS Makes the Game Cinematic: BUUULLLLL SHIIIITTTTTTT!!!!!!! This is a lie, a poor excuse to cover up the fact that the game cannot achieve anything higher than 30FPS. If you just came out and said that "hey we cant get higher than 30FPS due to our visuals" then fine! No problem. honest few questions though
how do you know they're lying how do you know that they don't actually believe it makes it look more cinematic
and why would they choose to lie about something that doesn't matter at all

FPS does nothing to give you a "cinematic experience" that is done by whats in the game, its gameplay, and style of story telling you put into it. In the case of The Order; as I said in the review. Its all "style over substance".

-Illusion of Choice. Games like AC 3 and Dying Light have moments where it presents to you a moment where you may have to make a big choice. Only to literally just play through like a cutscene and control is never given to you.
-Press *BUTTON* To Whatever: CoD is notorious for this terrible means of interaction. These are moments where the games tell you to "Press A to drill a hole". You hold the button, and then it takes over with a long animation that you have no part in. Is that supposed to make me feel involved? Because it doesn't... Devs need to pay attention to Alien Isolation's was of doing things!

-Day One Patches: I remember a time when games were finished... The attitude of "ship now, patch later" is out of control. We are having day one patches of 5gb and up! And in some cases, those patches cause more problems than they fix. AC Unity is the prime example of this problem. Due to either the publisher pushing the game out of the door and not listening to "hey this is broken!" is one, or they just did not do ANY QA testing. Pubs like Paradox Interacting is an example of pushing out games before they're ready. But thankfully they are changing for the better!

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/5-impossible-brainteasers-meant-stump-141026953.htmlOk found this little thing on Yahoo. Its 5 impossible brainteasers meant to stump you in a job interview... Firstly, who asks these? NOBODY!!!! Spoiler 1. You're in a room with three light switches, each of which controls one of three light bulbs in the next room. Your task is to determine which switch controls which bulb. All lights are initially off, and you can't see into one room from the other. You may inspect the room only once. How can you determine which switch is connected to which light bulb?
2. How many trees are there in Central Park?
3. How much does all the ice in a hockey rink weigh?
4. If you were building a new city with a projected population of 100,000, how many gas stations would you need?
5. You are given 12 balls and a scale. Of the 12 balls, 11 are identical and 1 weighs slightly more. How do you find the heavier ball using the scale only three times?

Suicide happens on its own, and you won't have control over it when it happens. I disagree with that. Unless you are referring to the moment of when it happens, like squeezing the trigger. OT: I had those thoughts too a long time ago. It was all because of how I was treated in High School. I was dehumanized, beaten, told I was nothing and would never ever be anything greater than shit. After you're told that enough, you start to believe it. Nobody helped, nobody listened to me. Teachers did jack to them, and in most cases it made it even worse. So at one point I hit a low. I wanted it all to end, so one night I planned to OD on some meds and just drift away in my sleep. I had them in my hands and was about to swallow the first few. But something stopped me! It literally was like I heard a voice clear as day. It told me that this was not the end for me. There was so much more to life than I was feeling now. It also told me that there is somebody for you in your future! Somebody that will love you, never leave you, and will hold you up when you are at your weakest. I did not swallow one pill that night after that. And I am still here today, and what I heard has come to pass! Have a wonderful life with an amazing woman. __________________________________ After all that happened, I started to realize the effect this would have on everybody that loved me. I couldn't see it because I was so blinded by pain and hatred. If I had taken my own life that night, my family and friends would have been devastated beyond comprehension. I took me a while to gain self esteem and courage, but I did thanks to my faith. You have a purpose in this life! Never fool yourself into thinking you dont. I know how it feels more than others can or ever will.

One big complaint im having. The maps feel too crampt. Everybody is everywhere on the map. There is no safe zone with little activity and room to move. You literally kill one guy but you have three more behind you.
This cause NOBODY STICKS TOGETHER.
Some of them can be pretty clusterfucky but it depends a little on the map/mode. Everglades is fairly quiet and open with the fights around chokepoints rather than just constant Pearl Market style facerape.
And yeah, if you stick with a squad it's a dreckoning for the enemy team because they all act like lone wolves lol.
Played Conquest on Downtown. Camped in the parking garage picking off everybody that walked on the street. Now I was alone, noway I shoulda survived like that. But I looked on the map, it was like ants crawling on shit.
