Man. I am WAY TOO FUCKING HYPED for TFA. I keep watching the new trailer over and over. The bit when The Force theme kicks in is just like.... AAAAAAARGHH!
More excited for Rebels and the new comics tbh. J.J.'s track record, plus known plot details don't have me excited. Their playing it safe with the story. It won't be bad, but it won't be better than any of the other movies. They need to not risk anything so they can draw in the "muh original trilogy" crowd and maximize profit, then they'll actually do stuff with story for 8,9, and the anthology films. Also, the force theme isn't in the new trailer. It's the carbon freeze theme. And Binary Susnet John Williams and Kevin Kiner often refer to this as "the force theme" Hence as why it is used in recent things like Star Wars Rebels as acknowledgement of the force. Like when Ezra senses Kanan @ 2:29

So a crazy thought crossed my mind this morning...what if Boba Fett teamed up with Han Solo to track down Luke? Okay, I'll admit, that is kind of fan-fiction-y.... "Even I don't hold a grudge after thirty years, Boba."
You know what I would like to see in the form of a few page comic or something. Boba Fett in around 15 BBY, following up on a rumor of a Jedi hanging in the slums of Coruscant. Goes in to kick in the door to find a broken Mace Windu with a robot hand or something. Fett basically mercy kills him at that point, and is somewhat disappointed how pathetic the Jedi became. Would make his struggle to kill Mace in TCW that much more impactful.

I didn't read Dark Disciple, didn't Ventress sort of transition into the light by the time she died?
Ehh, more like "I'm doing something for someone else instead of me". Which I don't really get, because didn't they already do that with Ahsoka and Ventress. And then Vos gets her killed. I was hoping you'd use the rest of my quote too >_>
Most characters still apply. Katarn had good personality, but that type of personality and his struggles were far from original in the old EU.

And probalby a shit load more in the EU. The only thing that made Katarn "unique" was his personality. That of which is basically replicated within Kanan.
Kanan even has the dogshit brown shirt and shoulder pad.
Still iffy on whether he's banging Hera, though.
He was banging Hera in A New Dawn, so probably still is.

Katarn is one of the most unique characters because he's seen both sides of the force.
So has: - Luke Skywalker - Anakin Skywalker - Quinlan Vos - Galen Marek - Revan - Jacen Solo - Kanan Jarrus And probalby a shit load more in the EU. The only thing that made Katarn "unique" was his personality. That of which is basically replicated within Kanan.

Good thing MCC has (or had Idk if it was patched) that glitch so you could just load up the level and quit so it counts as completed
Is it that simple or are there other steps?
It's patched. Has been for a while.

Probably we'd be praying to the Roman pantheon. It was Constatine's conversion to Christianity that spread the religion, not anything inherent in Christianity. So, if he hadn't, then the original Roman religion would be the predominant one. The driving factor was Rome.
Didn't your wife cheat on you or something?

TFU was fun You guys are just dumb.
TFU is like God of War. You have some different moves, but the enemy types are all the same and you really only need 1 or 2 attacks to win. The difference being, God of War had a semi decent story.
Eh was still fun though. Got to mix up combos and force powers to fuck with Stormtroopers.
The sequel was shit tier though. How did they fuck up so badly??
Jobs got laid off. According interviews, the game was only about 1/4th of the games planned story. Basically got the Halo 2 treatment.
That's a damn shame, they could have actually made it good. It actually looked nice and the combat wasn't too bad, it just felt really empty and unfinished.
Still though, you got to do this...

Always a plus.
Yeah, the story seemed interesting, unlike the first game. But as soon as it started to get good it ended. Now the third game will never be finished because of the EU wipe.

That bit when Starkiller jumps down the Death Star with the awesome music playing is probably in my top 10 Star Wars moments.
And then he became Assassin's Creed.

Even though Attack of the Clones is my least favorite Star Wars movie, it has one of my favorite scenes in it. The way Lucas uses the shadows as silhouettes, the music transitions from Binary Sunset to Duel of the Fates, the speeder scene then transitioning back to silhouettes at the end. From a cinematic standpoint, this scene is 10/10.

People hate Forced Unleashed? That game was great. Had fun combat and leveling up your powers was awesome.
Story was 100% pointless
Darth Vader:
>hurr durr make a apprentice >durrrrrrrr betray apprentice >jk kill da emperor and gather his enemies its a good plan eh? >jk killed my apprentice to protect the emperor >lol I cloned him hahahahah
I didn't play it for the story. The game itself was fun as hell.
Pretty limited in combat when you compare it to past games like the the Jedi Knight Series. >Getting a single player only game that has been praised for it's story to not play it for it's story How many vaccines did you have as a child?

But it was a pretty good game with an engaging story and solid gameplay I like how you're using new canon in a discussion about how TFU fits into old canon.
No, I'm discussing how TFU is a pile of shit game. I know it fits into old canon. Doesn't make it any less shit.

No, none of those things were in the movie, your view of it is distorted due to having these things explained to you at some point.
Go watch The Phantom Menace again. Everything the author said about Qui-gon are examples from the movie. Personally, the only time I've ever seen something from the EU with Qui-gon in it was in The Clone Wars. And no times when he appeared did it add to his character. Watch the movie again. Qui-Gons backstory is not in that movie at all, yet the author is making points based off of it. I don't ever recall reading anything inferring to Qui-gon's backstory. So if you could quote it that'd be lovely. There were no deep hidden meanings amongst that flat dialogue in the films. It's not that at all. When I was at a panel in NYCC, the author of the Journey to the Force Awakens comic serieswas talking about TPM and how he loved the moment when Obi-wan, Maul, and Qui-gon were fighting. He loved it because it showed how level headed Qui-gon was during the fight and showed the potential of what a Jedi could be. When the ray shields went up, Maul acted like a caged animal, Obi-wan was anxious, but Qui-gon just stopped and meditated. It's things like that they are pulling out from these films. Not over analyzing dialogue to make a point that doesn't exist. I don't really have an interest in discussing this with people who continue to break the rules of the game in order to win.
Again, how was the author breaking the rules? It's all in the films. The is no outside source material influence. I understood Qui-gon's characterization when I was six from the film. How is it this hard to understand as grown adult?

Vader wasn't even the strongest in both movie canon and the EU so I'm not seeing why that's a negative. Being the one that's supposed to balance the force doesn't mean being the most powerful being ever. He is now. More powerful than Sheev at least. Anakin would have been to most powerful force wielder in the galaxy had he not lost all his limbs and was burned. That's from the man George Lucas himself. Both Luke and old man obi matched the power of his robo limbs so I'm not seeing the issue. Vader didn't want to kill Luke and Vader was playing with his food with Obi-wan. Vader can easily overpower his enemies. I'm not seeing how it's sideways retarded to use the secret apprentice to draw out the leaders of the rebellion and capture them, but ok. Sheev: K lol, captured rebels. Gonna talk and brag instead of killing u k? *rebels escape* Sheev: all according to plan, amirite Vader? lol go hunt them down and never kill them even though we know who they are and they are public officials of the senate and could use their public lives against them. k. Vader: lol k mastur, gonna go clone that guy that was super stronger than us, cuz sith always want a threat to their power. talk to you l8r. The gameplay was solid

Saw the newest Rebels episode. I loved the part where the clones were analyzing the AT-AT, and comparing it to the AT-TE. I think anyone who's interested in military equipment, specifically armored vehicles. can relate. Speaking of AT-AT's, I noticed that there are quite a few differences between the Rebels version and the film version. Normally I would attribute this to artistic license and Rebels' stylized look, but in this case I think the differences are significant enough to warrant calling the Rebels AT-ATs an earlier model, with legitimate, in-universe physical differences between the vehicles seen in Rebels and TESB.
Rebels version:

TESB version:

Well there is about a 7 year gap or so from then to ESB. I'd hope the Empire would innovate a bit.

Nothing I said was a nitpick. Those are all major issues with this response. You can't refute someone who's making an argument with I don't like your opinion, pointing out an extremely minor thing that does absolutely nothing to address the point the other party is making, and using your imagination to prove yourself right.
It's a 109 page response. So yes, you picking out that one small thing in his rebuttal is just as much nitpicking as is him picking out Stoklasa's mistake with the timing of when Anakin shows up. Like I said, it's all subjective, which you've clearly just proven. He goes into detail on some things to explain why Plinkett is wrong. A lot of that information and characterization isn't made in the movies. Yes it is? I've never read any EU about Qui-Gon Jin, and all the characterizations the person lists are in the movie if you actually watch it. Same with Padme and Anakin. All of his examples that he uses are from the movies. Also using Qui-Gons role as a father figure to explain why the people who couldn't describe him without using his profession, looks, costume, or role only proves Plinkett right. Something tells me you didn't actually read this and just skimmed, as that's not the point the author was making. Yes he said idolized father figure, as a lead into the examples that could be used. However, it was not an example itself. Reading comprehension skills come in handy.
