They were having server issues. I played through the entire H2A campaign last night with Vien though, and we did some custom games. We only had problems early in the afternoon yesterday.

How was the campaign with the new stuff?  *looks over to empty shelf where I will eventually put and Xbone*

Gaming / Re: Why doesn't master chief collection have 4 player split screen
« on: November 12, 2014, 10:58:34 AM »
Wait it seriously does not have 4 player split screen? Are you fucking serious.

Wern't Micro$haft bragging that the Xbone could do some kind of Eight Person Split-Screen from Hell at one point? So why does a game that got it's fucking start from Splitscreen suddenly get such a downgrade. Im glad I didn't by those other remotes today after all.

It does for multiplayer but not campaign. I posted this before trying multiplayer

Halo 1 could only do 2 player co-op campaign. It's the engine. Same with 2. I don't have MCC right now, so I can't say if 3 and 4 can do 4 player, but right now it sounds like you're complaining that the game is working how they said it would.

"Exactly as is was 10 years ago"

Well, guess what? You got it. Stop complaining.

I'm bummed out about this update that is taking fucking forever to download, but other than that it's good (from the first few campaign missions I played offline).

I'm enjoying the multiplayer regardless. No matchmaking, so we are doing 1 Flag CTF on StoneTown (H2A Zanzibar)

If we're going by Halo 4's launch by example, it will take about 2 weeks with shut down maintenance every few hours. Oh well, it will be fun after that.

TFW when I have to wait two weeks to get money for and Xbox One. I'm going to stab myself to sleep tonight.

Huh. I wonder if it will be like the "skins" from Halo 4. I'll be using plain Armor as I don't like that look, but it seems like this might offer some cool combinations for others.

. With 32 player matches

wut :O

I wish we were getting 64 player matches like Battlefield, because imagine getting to drive a mammoth or a Lich or something. But 32 is pretty damn good.

64 would be too hectic IMO for Halo. 32 for BTB sounds fun though, as long as the maps support it. As well as 32 player Custom Games. Gamenights would be a blast.

The rugby tackle seems kind of pointless compared to a regular Melee aside from a gimmick.

Everything else looks awesome.

I can see scrubs using it to Leroy Jenkins other players. Not that it will be effective, but still.

I like these. It keeps Halo modern (everyone is doing wall jumping now) without necessarily changing the way that the game plays that much. I like the sprint solution. The melee charge and slide are fine, they expose you if you use it stupidly.  I'm a bit iffy on ground pound since it seems to be a 1 hit kill. What's it's radius? If I'm camping and the enemy team walks by in a group, can I ground pound the group and kill them all like a rocket? AR sounds even more of a pea shooter than Halo 3. The high beeps when zooming with the BR bug me.

Time will tell. Most changes are positive and for the better.

It's dumb that they didn't just use a second disc instead.
Stop being stingey MS.

Agreed. I have good internet, so I don't give two side ways shits personally, but there should at least be an alternative way for those who get their feed line from Walmart.

So the ground pound is a thing, eh? I hope to god it's not over powered and is just some animation for falling long distances. If it isn't, then I hope it's at least balanced.

We'll see tonight I guess.

Gaming / Re: Regarding the Halo 5 leaks

You shouldn't be able to just easily run away from a battle you're losing.

I've never been able to do this against good players. Using this as an argument makes no sense. If you truly encounter your target fleeing from you with sprint a majority of the time, then maybe you just can't aim correctly.

Gaming / Re: More Halo 5 leaks

This would be so perfect without sprint. It looks so fluid and enjoyable.

My thoughts exactly. I just don't think the prospect of sprint really fits in Halo.

In campaign and FF/Spops, sure. But not MP. And the maps will most likely be built with sprint in mind, which is disheartening.

The only way I see sprint working is if, when shot, you are immediately taken out of it. That would get rid of 1) running away, and 2) running into battle mindlessly.

Ew, no. Sprint is fine how it is. Having sprint be disabled/slow down the player when shot at *cough* shitty Halo 4 mechanic *cough cough* just interrupts the flow even more. It should either be in there completely or not at all. And seeing how modern FPSs are, the likely hood of it being removed completely are slim.
