My point still stands.

You must be a blast at parties.

You too, you'd probably complain about people getting other people drinks. Ruins the party doesn't it?
It does if you ask when you're standing in front if the punch bowl.

You can use a variety of controllers on PC
Depends on the game.

PC doesn't have many games I want that aren't already on console. Just seems to be filled with Indie shit. Plus, my friends are on Xbox. Having a slight graphical difference also doesn't seem worth the price difference IMO, especially when most of the graphical difference comes from modding in most games.

Once you get used to it and provided the game doesn't have shitty controls, gaming with a keyboard in mouse is mostly better than a controller.

I like mouse and keyboard for strategy games. Controller works better for me with FPS and 3rd Person Shoots IMO. To me, having better movement with joystick > a  little better aim with mouse.

TV broke last week, so I ordered a new and better on to deliver on March 17th. For now, I'm stuck to the realm of DankScape. I ordered a 42 inch LCD TV with 3 HDMI inputs.

What TV  do you guys play on

And you have to ask why you're the worst part of the community.

You're taking that out of context. Congrats.

In what context would that make what you said better?

Serious / Re: I'm starting to dream more often..
« on: March 06, 2015, 07:54:16 AM »
I'm dreaming almost everyday, everything is different except the dying of where they take place. It's bothering me that I'm dreaming almost daily now. The dreams I have include my ex,  my group of friends, attraction to one of them, etc..

I don't know, it's just awkward, my dreams just bother me after waking up for a few hours. I never had so many in consecutive nights.

So, you dream of dying everyday? For the ex  and friend stuff, that's just your subconscious. If you dream often, you'll find your subconscious pulls shit out of the deep corners of your mind where you suppress stuff/ forgot shit.

My only advice to you, is that if you're starting to dream and don't like it, is to start dream journaling. It will help clear your subconscious  of things. Plus, it's always cool to remember and write down what you dream about.

Another alternative is lucid dreaming. A dream journal is still suggested for this route, just cuz it's nice to do. Lucid dreaming is taking control over your dream, having clear thought. You are self aware it is a dream, but you're still sleeping. Basically, you're Neo from the Matrix. I lucid dream very easily, and almost every night have a lucid dream. You have to have good control over it though, because if you start thinking what are "bad thoughts" to you, you might lose control of the dream, and it usually becomes a nightmare. And not one likes those. Doing this would be difficult though, since you don't dream that often. Could be cool for you though.

Another danger to lucid dreaming is sleep paralysis. Basically, you wake up, but your body doesn't. You're basically a vegetable for a few minutes. If this happens, don't panic, just lay there and let your body wake up. Many people panic when this happens, and that causes heavy chest compressions, which can lead to you suffocating. To people that this happens to, it's usually at night and dark, so they think they see figures in the dark. As well, you subconscious is still awake, so it would transform this figures into whatever would be a nightmare for you. To this, many people claim when this happens to them that it was a demon trying to kill them by sitting on their chest and not letting them breathe. That's where that myth comes from. This can happen without lucid dreaming though, it's just more common with people who do lucid dream. People have died from this, so be carful and be aware when sleeping. Don't let your mind play tricks on you >.>

Here's some pics of some people's interpretations:

You've probably experienced sleep paralysis before when you were younger. Reason being why a lot of children are afraid of the dark or monsters will eat them, because they had those hallucinations. But your adult mind is more fucked up than your child mind, so you mind can create some fucked up things to scare you, some even the point to death.

Sleep responsibly.

Gaming / Re: What would happen if Halo 5 is a total flop?
« on: March 06, 2015, 07:03:44 AM »
Halo 5's multiplayer is actually good, judging by the beta. Halo 4's multiplayer was pretty fucking mediocre. It think it'll last a bit longer as long as they don't have another MCC launch on their hands.
Yeah, but the fact that 343 screwed up hard not just on one game, but two....
MS are to blame for the MCC being released in a broken state, not 343.
And they didn't screw up Halo 4. It's just different than previous Halo games.

Sadly, this is true. MS wants to squeeze money out of Halo, but doesn't actually want to put the effort forth to make a decent running game. I understand them wanting to do that. It's not okay, but I get the reason.

MCC was not the game to do that with though. If that game had launched this year, no one would complain. Sure, that might be a few asshats on the forum that would have been like "But it's not Halo 2's Anniversary!!!", but fuck them. MS pulled an EA and made the game ship early to maximize profits, without caring what the consequences would be. If this game had a successful launch, you'd still have lots of people buying Xbones, telling their friends about it, and actually playing the game after it released. If the game worked on launch, everyone would be slobbering over 343 and MS's cocks. But no, they wanted to get a little bit extra profit than they would have otherwise by launching the game for Halo 2's Anniversary.

It's shit like this that makes me think back to the 80's, when companies just pumped out shit and incomplete games to get a quick buck. With the mobile market, indie games, and shitty AAA developers, it's basically the same thing now. I seriously hope we go through a game market crash soon so we can start getting decent  game companies again.

I mean, 343's got a plan for their story for 30 years

They seriously think they'll stay relevant that long?

I would say the same for Marvel and DC right now

I could see what you mean if you're talking about the comic books. That community gets smaller every year. But the Cinematic Universe is bigger than ever. With the recent success of Guardians of the Galaxy, and everyone and there mother getting hyped for Avengers 2, I don't see how it's fallen off the charts.

343 didn't release a population counter, so we don't know. It fell off the top 10 charts back in December tho, so I would say no more than 15k actually play it everyday.

Reach has a higher population because its not in MCC.

And I don't even want to hate on Reach. I think ZBNS Reach is better than halo 3.

It was like that before MCC released too.

But even then, How come all these map and game designers suck dick at their own game? How exactly does knowing about game design translate to any part of the competitive part of the game. Other than the "pro team" whos the best player at 343? their community manager?
Holy fuck, I want to hit myself in the head with a shovel after reading this. Game developers, specifically ones who make FPSs, usually aren't all that good at playing their own game competitively. That's been a thing since FPS were invented. Have you ever played against a Bungie employee, they weren't so good themselves.

That exact reason is why that hired the pro team. Have you seriously stumped down to the "lol theier shit players, i kno 2 pleh bettur "? Put your dick away man, it ain't that big.

No, the Pro team were PR hires. We all know it.

Even if they were, which is a stupid PR move if they did,  they are still vital in helping give feedback to make the game better.

I know for a fact that Neighbor, Derksy, or Ghost would NEVER advocate sprint in halo. They have no real input.

Ooookay, keep that tin-foil hat on there bud.

ITT: PSU still trying to cram his own ideal play style down everyone else's throats

I'm trying to cram CLASSIC halo down your throats.

If Halo Reach and Halo 4 were even remotely successful, I'd agree with you guys. But they tried to add AA's and Sprint and it was a colossal failure.

Reach was riding on 100k players for 1 year, then dropped to 60k-75k in 2012. Now it has a higher population than Halo 4 and 3. Pretty fucking successful for a spin off game.

They've catered to us? You're delusional. Sorry bro.

Maybe if you had a lighter inside your ass, you'd be able to see it.

I'm an idiot? You're the one making assumptions about a community that you know nothing about.

I like how you call me an idiot for making "assumptions" while you made them yourself. I've been part of these try-hard communities before. They're nothing more than the online gaming equivalent to a High School football jock. Are some of them smart, yeah. Some of them are fantastic to be around. But a good amount seem to worship themselves for small feats and look down on others. Let alone know how to change a lightbulb.

Are we the only people who play the games? No. But we are the people who are left on the games after all you casuals jump ship and play the newest BS on the market.

And there's the mentality of the usual Halo Tourney try-hards. Casuals =/= people who jump ship to new games. Casuals can stay around a again as long as the servers are up. I like to consider myself a casual player, and I own every game I've ever purchased (Even Destiny).  I come back to all of them to play.

And what exactly is "the newest BS on the market" ? The new RPG? The new CoD? While I might agree on disliking some of those games, they're far from being shit. I've even found myself to enjoy the newest Call of Duty. Once again, the entitled opinion of a Halo Try-hard thinking they're btter than everyone else.

You keep calling me a try hard like its some kind of insult. I love the fact that I do in fact TRY to win when playing the game. Sorry bro, thats why the scoreboard is there.

You play a plethora of games. Thats fine. But ALL I play is Halo (and occasionally some madden), but 95% of what I play is Halo.

Madden. Remember Madden '06? Where they stripped all the features of the previous games to make it a bare bones  game, taking away lots of replay value for many different types of players? That's basically what you're asking 343 to do by insinuating your agenda of "NO CHANGE, HALO 1-3  5-EVAH!!!!!".

I feel like an old son of a bitch when I look at stuff like this. A good 5-7 years back maybe I would have been more invested about this stuff and made a big huffy.

Now? Not worth it. Never was. And all this pointless whining and bitching only cements my feeling of being an elderly gamer. God damn when the fuck did people just not enjoy a game for what it was? Back before forums were a thing and if something wasn't quite right people just rolled with it.

Jesus fuck gaming communities have become spoiled cunts. At this rate 343 should drop all the coding and materials over to anybody who bitches and just say, "Here's the tools, make what you want with them."

What a fuckin' embarrassment this all is.

The Halo community has. Still plenty of good communities out there for other games. Just these AAA titles mahn.

Okay apparently the patch removed what little skilled matchmaking parameters this game had.  Had one game where my team 50-1ed a team then had matches with my team losing by 30 or more, and faced a guy who got 34 kills on the Pit who had the strategy of Sun Tzu with the aim of a MLG pro.  Every game is either a Rek or gets rekt type match.  Then got hella lag several times today, and they still didn't add host migration so hosts quitting still ends the match.  Lol dedicated servers.  Also my friend and I could no longer connect around 2pm.  Now we only got to wait till the end of April for the next patch (unless it gets delayed like this one).

I really doubt they lowered the skilled matchmaking parameters. Even if they did, it wouldn't matter. That game fell off the top 10 charts back in December, IIRC. That's worse than Halo 4 at launch. If we had a population counter, I couldn't see more than 15k players still going at it.
