News / Review - Star Wars Rebels : "Fighter Flight"« on: October 22, 2014, 03:24:05 PM »Star Wars Rebels "Fighter Flight" S01E02 ***Each review is built on the assumption that you have some base knowledge on the show's character's. If you don't and would like to know click the spoiler below*** Spoiler Kanan Spoiler YouTube Spoiler YouTube Spoiler YouTube Spoiler YouTube Spoiler YouTube Spoiler YouTube Spoiler YouTube Spoiler YouTube The Story: In this episode of Star Wars Rebels, we follow the adventures of Zeb and Ezra as they visit a market after causing too much ruckus on the ship. Hera, the captain of the Ghost, demands that they must bring her a special fruit, or they won't gain access back onto the ship. While Zeb and Ezra are in the marketplace, we see an old friend of Ezra's family. We learn that the Empire has offered the farmer compensation for his land in order to set up production facilities, however, the farmer denies the offer. Zeb and Ezra soon get all the supplies they need, except for the fruit, as they aren't native to the planet Lothal and that the Imperials had just purchased them. However, Ezra finds a crate of the fruits being loaded onto a Trooper Transport and decides to go after it. Of course, this attempt fails and the two soon become surrounded by Stormtroopers. As they run away, the two get separated. Ezra goes along the roof tops while Zeb steals an Imperial Tie Fighter. Zeb soon rescues Ezra on top of the rooftops from the Stormtroopers. They fly off to meet up with the Ghost crew. Spoiler Meanwhile, the farmer we saw earlier is now at his farm when two Troop Transports roll up. They inform him that they are now taking his land by force an he has no choice in the matter. They blow up his home and take him into custody. They put them where the troopers would normally go to prevent Rebels attacking them, because the likely hood that the civilians would die is higher. Zeb and Ezra see the smoke from the farm and decide to investigate before meeting up with the Ghost crew. While using the Tie Fighter as a cover, they hover over the moving transports and Ezra jumps down to free the civilians. Ezra then spots the fruit box from earlier and uses the fruit to knock the Stormtroopers down from the transport. Zeb then lowers altitude to pick him up once the civilians got away, and they make their way to the Ghost. Luckily, Ezra kept one of the fruits and gave it to Hera as an apology. Score: 7/10 This episode is very family friendly, but that's not a bad thing. It was extremely entertaining to watch and had some good character development and bonding between Zeb and Ezra. Not to mention the dark implications it had of how the Empire handles things. This is a perfectly reasonable light hearted episode, especially when considering what next week's is about. The music is spectacular as always. Though my gripe is, this really felt like a filler episode. While a good filler episode, this is the second episode of the season. Seems a bit early for filler if you ask me. 274

The Flood / What is your ideal heaven?« on: October 21, 2014, 06:06:32 PM »
Let's say when you die there something similar to a heaven or promised land where your desires and fantasies come true. What would be yours?
I think for mine I'd like to be put sometime during the Roman Empire on Earth and live my life out from there, with all my current knowledge I have when I died. The catch being I'm basically immortal with my body from my 20s--30s. Take a back seat and watch humanity ride it out before and long past the time of my actual death. Would be cool. 276

Gaming / Would you guys like an Assassin's Creed Collection?« on: October 20, 2014, 09:44:30 AM »
Similar to the MCC, it would have all the 7th gen AC games, including handheld versions, in one game for a $40-$60 dollar purchase. This would be available on 8th gen hardware, upping up the FPS and fidelity a bit.
I would buy the shit out of that. 279
Gaming / I need an opinion« on: October 19, 2014, 09:07:59 AM »
So a group of my friends have decided they want to make a game. They came to me for art direction and to help make some concepts for environments and shit. They said I could make whatever I want since it's the concept stage, as long as it has a medieval theme to it. I said okay, because why the fuck not.
However, I have no idea what type of art style or color pallet to use. So, I need your help. Tell me what type of color pallet.art style you'd might like to see in a medieval game. (Not sure what the story is about, as writing is still concept as well. They think they might do a hero's journey type thing.) HALP. 280

Apparently if you preorder MCC you get $15 back in Xbox rewards, which I could use to buy some cheap ass games on the 360. However, I don't own an Xbone yet. If I purchase it off the Microsoft store, will it just stay in my purchase history for me to download when I get an Xbone or will it be like "LOL NOPE,UR ACCOUNT NOT REGISTERED WITH XBONER. GET ONE FIGOT!"?

News / Review - Star Wars Rebels "Droids in Distress"« on: October 14, 2014, 07:29:30 PM »Star Wars Rebels - "Droids in Distress S01E01 ***Each review will be building off the last so I don't have to repeat myself over and over. For the base of the main characters's personalities, visit my Star Wars: Spark of Rebellion Review*** http://sep7agon.net/index.php?topic=5009.0 Story: Spoiler In this episode of Star Wars Rebels, the story continues shortly after the events of Star Wars Rebels: Spark of Rebellion with the Ghost crew short on supplies and money they decide to take a job from Vizago, an arms dealer. They agree to steal some weapons in return for credits. Soon afterward, they run into C-3PO and R2-D2 who are working under cover as imperial translators. After getting the information on where the weapons are kept, they soon smuggle to weapons onto the Ghost. Upon smuggling them, they realize they were disrupters used to wipe out Zeb's race. For this reason, Zeb is against selling them, but ultimately his cries are ignored. However, unknowingly the Ghost crew was followed on their way to the weapons deal. Vizago panics and escapes with most of the weapons, while the Ghost crew fend off the Imperials.Soon a duel between Zeb and Agent Kallus ensue, where we discover Agent Kallus lead the assault on Zeb's planet, and that he wields a sacred weapons of Zeb's people.Agent Kallus gets the upper hand on Zeb, until Ezra steps in and uses to force to send Agent Kallus flying. The Ghost crew then retreats off world away from the Imperial army. They then return C-3PO and R2-D2 to Bail Organa. Bail pays the Ghost crew for their troubles and R2 inform Bail on the Ghost crew, referring to them as "Rebels". Characters: Spoiler Hera: Spoiler The Pilot of the Ghost. she doesn't do much in this episode except act as a motherly figure. Chopper: Spoiler Doesn't do much either this episode. He helps out the Ghost crew in his own way and is his usual annoying astromech self. Sabine: Spoiler Absolutely no character development this episode. She shoots at stuff. Ezra: Spoiler He gets blown off by Kanan, and is used to crawl through vents. He gets a bit closer to Zeb in this episode, especially after saving him from Agent Kallus. Not a huge amount of character development, but a good amount for the first episode. Kanan: Spoiler He blows off Ezra's training and is just overall insensitive to the crew. He seems to do whatever he needs to in order to get money. Very non-Jedi like, which is good because he's been in hiding trying to survive. It's pretty obvious he'll get better down the line when training Ezra though. Zeb: Spoiler We discover more about his backstory, which is kind of dark/sad. The Empire wiped out his entire race and he has a irrational fear of the weapons used to do so. After being saved by Ezra, he gives him a nod, showing that he and Ezra will probably get along better down the rode. Agent Kallus: Spoiler YouTube We learn Kallus was in command of the attack on Zeb's planet. Kallus wields a sacred staff from Zeb's people, and is very skillful in using it. Seeing as how he openly challenged Zeb in a firefight, he has at least respect for his rivals. R2-D2, C-3PO, and Bail Organa: Spoiler Playing a small side roll, it seems that the formation of the Rebellion is starting to kick in. These characters will probably appear time to time with the over acing plot. Animation: Spoiler Animation seems like it has already improved from the "movie". While nothing notable in particular, it definitely seems it will improve overtime like The Clone Wars. Soundtrack: Spoiler Bringing back original soundtracks front he Original Trilogy once again, as well as some altered versions to the imperial march. Sounds great. Review Score: 9/10 Spoiler Great. It's a TV show and isn't afraid to be. It has short and quick pacing, yet still manages to tell a great story. Will be awesome to watch it in a Marathon run. However, it is really apparent on the digital versions when there is supposed to be a commercial break, as it cuts to black for a second. This was present in The Clone Wars, but they fixed it in later seasons. Hopefully they do the same here. Star Wars Rebels "Droids in Distress" S01E01 is currently free on iTunes. Download it. The episode is also available on Disney XD and Amazon Instant Video. It will be available on Netflix after the season is finished. 288
