I'd try to rub one out just before the twilight blinks and transmigrates

However, what if you were doing your thing and then an image of your grandma/female relative showed up into your mind's eye?

What a way to pass

So how about yourself?

.......In order to give smaller businesses the chance to compete, with the end goal being a more level, equal income distribution?

If large multinational corporations have the means of production to produce massive quantities at market-low prices, this will put smaller firms at risk of failure of course (i.e. Walmart and local, private grocery stores or even smaller, yet still competitive businesses for that matter). Would placing limits on maximum growth a corporation can develop into be a constructive effort, in regards to improving income distribution throughout a country? What do you think?

There he stood, unabashed.

Maroon streams raced hastily between the cobblestones of a forlorn street, silenced only by a profound downpour of heavy rain. Remnants of those weaker than him littered the distance, a grave place of graves.

"You remember the lights? Star-struck Peak, I swear man, they're still there!"

Friendly, ancient voices meant nothing now. Peace, light, both were out of reach this somber evening. What he wanted was closure, not for his sake, but for the memories of noble, young fools.

"How could you?"

And her, of course.

"Come on ______, the ship's here! I can't really say we won't see our parents again; but hey, do you really want to be stuck on this island forever? Just think about the lights, man."

The words of dead friends echo with too much volume. It's not fair.

More soldiers appeared. Gazing towards a mountain piercing all known heavens, he took flight. Audacious, eager bodies crumbled in defeat as relentless force and cold rain swept through them.

Frenzied boots sprinted through blood and time. The summit welcomed him with arctic, ruthless winds of tortuous ice. A cloaked, muscled figure stood at the precipice of the cliff, facing the slumbering horizon.

"I'm sorry. I had forgotten to kill you before."

A colossal mace and chain whirled in sync with the cruel, roaring air of the summit. The mountain violently trembled as he barely evaded powerful, rapid blows seeking his extinction.

"Looks like I'm fucking dying now..hey, could you find the lights for me? I'll be waiting. Thanks, ____."

"How could you?"

Incessantly moving for dear life. Waiting for an opportunity.

"You, rest now with your friends."

A massive swing soared across the sky. Slamming down to the snow, he numbly noticed his now ruined, hopelessly mangled arm. Lunging, he slashed through flesh and cloak and the bastard's rib cage.

"Hmm..funny. The lights, are in my pocket. I'm glad for you."

I'm sorry, master.

He picked up the the small crystal. Soon, everything turned pearly white.

"How could you? I still love you."

"I-I love you, too. Please don't cry, you're prettier when you smile."

He woke up.

Precious. That familiar golden breeze whispered of a radiant hour, a season long past. Frolicking deftly, the auburn maple leaves remembered warmly.

Yet the stranger sitting below did not. Try as he might, he simply, couldn't recall a thing..

A weary sigh mingled with the rhythm of the wind. This was to be the last autumn of his world, he thought. But how did he know that?

Sweet sunlight smiled from the faces of morning dew sprawled throughout the swaying, pristine pasture. Rolling his bandaged fingers through the gentle grass, he recalled the silky touch of her hair.

A jaded smile. "I shall never forget her, will I?", the stranger breathes. Yet he cannot decide whether this eternal imprint is favorable to him or not.

The branches of the great maple tree nodded. Peering straight ahead towards the ginger dawn, the man reminisced on the image of those lovely sapphire eyes gazing into everything remained of him.

Perhaps..that girl, she'll remember. If not, the summer sun will.

A mass of wetness pounded suddenly onto the outside of his hand. Was it leftover raindrops from the leaves above, or...?

The remnants of the wanderer's heart told him something then. That...that he would have given anything to tell her that he loved her too.

But she was gone, and so was he.

A single maple leaf nonchalantly danced between the wind's arms, an angel wing so cheerful, yet so lonely. Once it settled onto his lap, he sighed deeply and closed his eyes forever.

Thoughts?

If so, I think we're not likely to ever permanently leave the solar system; any colonization of other celestial bodies will most likely be limited to extracting resources.

Serious / Depression in school/work
« on: September 29, 2014, 03:31:25 PM »
Have any of you experienced depression (or any sort of mental illness) during school/work that has seriously debilitated your ability to function?

I've been struggling with severe depression for the past 2 years, and because of it I've only complete 2 semesters of college. Up until this semester my grades have been decent, but now I feel as if I'm going to flunk all my courses     ⊙﹏⊙

Post your stories if you'd like, I won't judge
