No. If the two forums merged, we could set up a Destiny thread to keep everything contained. That would sound appealing if I hadn't been in private groups that have tried this shit before and it ended up not working entirely. What you get is a bunch of people who are confused about ambiguous threads that are about two different games that are at odds in some way or another, and they think it'll generate new discussion altogether, so they put it in neither Game A nor Game B's universal thread, but a whole new thread.

I'd rather just play video games in their pure, vanilla form. You know, as they were intended to be played.
Mods can add things that the developers wouldn't have had time to, or simply wouldn't have thought of.
You can also do shit like make the graphics better, add more animations into the game as well as more story content.
IMO, you're having a better experience than the developers intended. I haven't even mentioned total conversion mods, which don't affect the vanilla game at all but act like a completely separate game.
You do not want to have this discussion with me. I don't like mods, at all. I don't care if you think it's "lore friendly", I don't care if you think the game is "improved". To me, the fact that the game improves upon being modded is all the more reason to play the game vanilla (or not play the game at all, because any game that gets better upon getting modified is probably a shitty game to begin with). To me, there's no such thing as a "lore-friendly mod". They all break the lore. Even the graphics-enhancing ones. In the game's universe, the unmodded vanilla graphics--That's how the universe in that game is. Changing that is changing the fabric of that universe, which to me, is bad. And I won't do it. Don't get me started on story content. Fuck that bullshit. I don't want to interact in some shitty fan fiction. I only care about what the developers slaved over, not what some idiot sitting in his room designed because he thought it was cute or funny.

I figure in order to have "favorite" historical figures, I'd have to agree with their philosophies to an extreme level, so I can't say I have any. I like learning about actual geopolitics that have taken place, but I don't see the appeal in games like CyberNations... You're just looking at numbers... Sure, the numbers have heavy implications behind them, but I'd rather just be smack-dab in the action if I'm gonna be playing an interactive video game. Politics is something that's fun to argue and discuss, not... play out... especially if the game doesn't even have graphics...
