After I read the OP, I was like, "eh, he probably took that rant from AVGN or something."
I was extremely satisfied to have discovered that I was right. 46657

Even though I sort of expected the outcome, it's interesting to see where all your priorities lie.

The Flood / Re: Having kids is like« on: December 09, 2014, 03:01:01 PM »Yeah I get it. Parents may think differently once they have kids or have future financial problems but them saying that they want to have kids means nothing except that they want kids.and all i'm saying is that they're being irrational there are better ways of wasting your time than arguing semantics on the internet 46669
The Flood / Re: Having kids is like« on: December 09, 2014, 02:54:40 PM »Yeah but when they say they want to have kids, they mean just that.you're missing the point in a very irritating way 46670
The Flood / Re: Having kids is like« on: December 09, 2014, 02:51:10 PM »Children are a blessing.i think i threw up in my mouth a little bit 46671
Serious / Re: Would you end the Internet?« on: December 09, 2014, 02:49:43 PM »I wasn't directing it at you, just anyone that thinks the internet is more trouble than it's worth.Oh, okay. My father's opinion on the collapse of economies contingent upon the Internet's existence went basically, "So? Who needs them?" 46672
The Flood / Re: Having kids is like« on: December 09, 2014, 02:48:17 PM »What else could they mean?"kids actually seem like a huge pain in the ass" that's what else they could mean 46673
The Flood / Re: Having kids is like« on: December 09, 2014, 02:47:27 PM »That was sarcasm...i know i turned it back on you because no, i don't think people do know what kids are like maybe you think you do 46674
Serious / Re: Would you end the Internet?« on: December 09, 2014, 02:39:44 PM »No matter what you think of the people that inhabit it, we need it far more than it troubles you. You're assuming two things. 1. That I'd surely end it. 2. That that would be my reason for ending it. Both assumptions are false. Sorry. 46675
The Flood / Re: Having kids is like« on: December 09, 2014, 02:33:32 PM »Yeah, because everyone stupid and don't know what children are like.apparently 46676
The Flood / Re: Having kids is like« on: December 09, 2014, 02:22:52 PM »
basically, yeah
i don't think people understand what they mean when they say that they want kids 46677
Serious / Re: Would you end the Internet?« on: December 09, 2014, 02:19:02 PM »Depends.Random opportunity, and it would just stop working. Lots of people would get fucked over, if they're working, but after at least like, a month or two, we'll have adapted. Well, in my dad's opinion. That's why I expect a lot of big fat "no"s. If it makes discussion more fruitful, then you can talk about what it would be like if the Internet never existed. If society would be "better" or not. 46678
The Flood / Re: You know what would be cool.« on: December 09, 2014, 02:11:55 PM »

i would just fuck you all up 46679
Serious / Would you end the Internet?« on: December 09, 2014, 02:09:46 PM »
Simple question. You're given the Internet kill switch. Do you flip it?
I had this conversation with my father, and he'd be dead-set on ending the Internet. He doesn't think it has any value whatsoever (I don't agree) and society would be better off without it. Most of you are going to say "fuck no," but I think there's at least some discussion to be had. I'm not gonna say whether I'd press it or not, but I will say that I'd consider it carefully. It wouldn't be an easy choice for me, either way. 46680
