Actually, isn't the Japanese word for thunder "kaminari"? The only reason I know that is because it was the name of a theme deck in the Pokémon TCG back in the day, and it was based off of Lightning-types...
edit: yay i'm right 44884

The Flood / Re: Separating Preconcieved ideas of "life"« on: January 04, 2015, 10:09:35 PM »Quote People often say, life isn't fair. They're wrong. Life is unbiased. Life doesn't point a finger at somebody and say, "Hey you, here's cancer."I kinda lost you here. Personally, I wouldn't call "luck" (which I don't even personally believe in, conceptually) fair. Fair implies that everything and everyone gets the same treatment, and everyone gets what they deserve. The way life is now, luck or no luck, it is characterized by grotesquely disproportionate circumstances. 44891

Gaming / Re: What's the appeal of the Gamecube controller for Smash Bros?« on: January 04, 2015, 09:55:08 PM »
I don't own one, but for me, it would be muscle memory. For me, it's annoying having to adapt to weird, new control schemes for a game that plays the same as it did seven years ago. But I also wouldn't want to waste money on those expensive-ass controllers that only work for Smash anyway.

The Flood / Re: Do you use the buddy feature?« on: January 04, 2015, 08:18:58 PM »
I don't know what the point is. It was brought up in Septagon that, now that user activity has now been made hidden (thanks to me), perhaps the activity could be visible between two buddies. Unless the system doesn't work how I think it works. Both users would have to consent to being buddies, obviously.

The Flood / Re: Do you use the buddy feature?« on: January 04, 2015, 08:13:22 PM »Can I put you on my buddy list?Uh. Go ahead? I probably wouldn't add you, though. No offense. I don't even get how it works. Does it have to be a mutual thing, like in Facebook? Do I have to accept your request, or are you just automatically my buddy? Because if it's the latter, then... I don't really see the point. 44907
