opening up with Daemon X Machina was rather strange, but the game looks pretty cool (despite being mechashit), even if it's probably just the striking art style that's intriguing me the most
fuck Xenoblade and fuck you for letting this happen
reggie's lead-in to Pokémon Let's Go Casuls was pretty heartwarming, but he didn't say shit about the games that we didn't already know REEEEEEE except the mew thing which is kind of cool i guess, even though i'd much prefer legendary pokémon to not be given out as free hand-outs but whatever casual game for casuals etc etc
Mario Party coming back to its former glory (if you call it that) is pretty dope, especially with that sick new switch tech

and now for my thoughts on the smash stuff
- i am SO fucking pumped about the game's roster being historically complete, and you have NO fucking idea
- zelda's redesign is welcome, but TP zelda's design will always be my favorite i think
- ULTIMATE. what an excellent fucking title
- always making ryu face his opponents is ingenious if not just interesting from a gameplay standpoint
- why was samus midair charging not always a thing???
- marth's voice should've stayed japanese, to be honest
- i'm not really a fan of cinematic final smashes, but i won't be playing with items very often anyway
- not sure how i feel about the mii fighter redesigns tbh, i guess they're better but they'll take getting used to
- ZSS's ridiculous bust size looks like it's been reduced, which is awesome and i can't wait for people to cry about it
- i don't like clones unless the game acknowledges them, so "echo fighters" being a thing is cool with me
- i dislike the amount of attention given to assist trophies because i don't care about them—RIP waluigi
- great plateau tower looks like a sick-ass stage
- DIRECTIONAL AIR DODGING, OH MAN
And finally, Ridley being playable is... Really fucking dumb. They even made him small. That was a really sour note to end on for me.
but i'm not gonna be too salty about that, because i appreciate having the entire series roster so much

What's wrong with people being excited and speculating about the game? It's good for business and creating hype around the product. Having unrealistic expectations is your own fault, not the developer's.
there's nothing wrong with it to a point, but it becomes a problem when people go overboard with it you want to enjoy games as much as possible, you have to learn how to cool your jets i never said it was the developer's fault, although they kind of are because they literally prey on that behavior

well i mean yeah that's kind of how it works you show nothing, get people excited, and now you have a bunch of videos on youtube with titles like "TOP 20 THINGS WE WANT TO SEE IN NIOH 2" or a 35 minute analysis describing every little aspect of that logo, and speculating about what all the finer details mean and shit i mean, maybe the nioh community is super chill and knows not to do stuff like that, but that's generally how a lot of people act when you don't feed them any information—they speculate and fanwank until they're so high off their own excitement that they wind up disappointed when none of their ideas were realized in the final product happens time and time again

So many people whining about women and stuff in these games. BF, AC, TLOU... Fucking hell, why is it that the people complaining about snowflakes are without fail even more so themselves?
Its forced as fuck and you only have to look at the dev responses to see that. Eitherway i dont share the same woes the majority seem to have, i want to see more females because it opens up new character types that you cant do with males.
As it is all these devs are seemingly including females to virtue signal which is just as embarrasing as complaining about the inclusion of females at all.

- they've been stringing us along about death stranding for so goddamn long, i simply don't care whatever it is at this point, and that long, drawn-out, boring-ass trailer didn't help matters—i hate how all the mystery surrounding the game is just "ooh, what's going through kojima's fucked up mind???" because it's unearned intrigue, you haven't shown me anything innately interesting
