Why would I pay $50 for anything when there are always some free-to-play game or games in $5-10 range that can do better?
i can't think of any

Why do you buy and support unfinished products?
Because they are already good in the current state. If developer listens to players feedback, it can become even better.
when paying full price for a game, you shouldn't be demanding any less than absolute perfection

by paying more, you're only making the deal worse for yourself

you shouldn't have to spend more than $50 when the average game isn't worth $1

Octopath Traveler
the problem with games this new though is that they're bound to get some sort of stupid expansion later, because fans have been bred to demand it these days

but yeah sure i guess it still counts for now

“We are not thinking about that at all,”

“The release version is a finished product.”

well, it's like you said, they could just incorporate all of his different phases into the fight, not unlike what they did with master core

which would actually make more sense than having skull kid take the form of Wrath, because that technically never happens in the game—the mask, majora himself, only changes form after he's already disposed of the skull kid as a host

i'd obviously still prefer him to be playable, i'm just trying to find reasons not to get my hopes up at this point

not saying it won't happen, but it's been argued that the moon's place as an AT kinda takes away what his most obvious final smash would've been

he'll obviously be in the game, but i think it's a tossup between playable character and boss at this point

also incineroar is a piece of shit, i really hope he doesn't get in

it won't be a big character IMO

new animal crossing game + isabelle echo announced alongside it is my guess

it could also very well be isaac, since he has earth-based moves (according to some golden sun fans i know), which would explain why they'd choose to delay the direct

so, there was gonna be a direct for the 6th, but an earthquake has caused them to delay it to the 9th
never mind, a date hasn't been confirmed

someone linked the UK nintendo twitter to me when i got the news, and i read "7/9/18" which i assumed meant "september 9th" because my brain just glazed over the "7" i guess

sorry, i'm just fucking retarded—in my defense it was 3 AM

Does MCC count? It has a whole separate game as a DLC (ODST), but it was not a part of the original release.
collections are nice and all, but no i wouldn't count them

Are we talking about first or third person view games with AAA-ish graphics and stuff, or some forgotten japanese RPG indies with 2D graphics as well?
most of the ones i've okayed so far have been indies i think

indies in general seem to be the way to go these days, i regret my prejudice towards them

as long as the definitive edition has all the DLC, it doesn't matter

the real problem with definitive editions is that they depend on you not already owning the game—so you might have spent $120 on the game + all its DLC, while i'm sitting here only paying half of that because i was smart enough to wait

which is not exactly fair, but w/e

writing, trying to find ways to make this dark souls review more interesting

you know, without just regurgitating what everybody already likes about the game too much
A REVIEW WITHOUT TRYING THE MULTIPLAYER🤔
and the section on the MP is by far the longest part
so you tried the pvp?
No, and i don't need to in order to talk about it, because i pretty much already know everything i need to

the only reason i'd try is if i wanted to see if it was fun—but i don't care if it's fun, because whether it's fun has nothing to do with my broader issues with it, and i don't rate games based on how fun they are anyway
How can you talk about something you’ve never done?
have you ever eaten shit
You’re equating something which is inherently and objectively disgusting which we’ve been biologically hardwired to find repulsive to talking about video games. It’s like reviewing Dark Souls’ story having only played PvP.

You can make shitty examples all you want, whatever you say about Dark Souls PvP is invalid as you haven’t tried it.

The Godfather 3 would have been a lot better with Wynona Ryder as originally planned.

is it so bad, or should i just go on my merry way

Does GOTY/ definitive editions count? As in a newer release with all DLC included.
sure, but only if absolutely nothing is left out
