It doesn't make sense only because you yourself don't like it.
Art. Is. Subjective.
even if you believe this, which is a 0 IQ take, that doesn't make it impossible to explain your dumbass opinion

Your point was the sculpture is distasteful because it showed a female body and that’s bad because men like female bodies
not even close
It’s either that or that she’s not sculpting a proper female body which I’m sure you’re an expert of
and only experts are allowed to have opinions or to be at all critical of anything
which is why you're critiquing my critique, because you're an expert on criticism
I never said you weren’t allowed to critique
I just said your critique was stupid as fuck (as usual)
K bye
it's stupid as fuck because it offends you that i hate sexual depictions of women, and it triggers you that there are people who don't find humanity beautiful, because no one should be allowed to feel any differently than you you're a sad and pathetic cunt

"I don't find it admirable therefore no one does."
Art is subjective Verb. I for one find the female form pleasant to look at even outside of an erotic sense; I don't know why that's so hard for you to compute.
because it actually doesn't make any sense unless you're planning on explaining yourself i don't know how you expect me to grapple with what amounts to a "nuh-uh"

to illustrate the point further, her navel is also very prominent, which is very stupid and not at all how clothes work, i don't care how windy it is outside
but yeah no, i only hate it because she has boobs and i hate boobs because i'm gay, clearly
just like that's the only reason you guys LIKE it, because you're shallow and retarded like that

like they're certainly prominent but they dont strike me as particularly big
it's as if her breasts were sculpted with the understanding that she were nude it's like illustrating a completely nude woman (in as suggestive and idealized of a pose as possible), coloring her red, and then saying that she's wearing a red jumpsuit hahahaha clever artist, showcasing sexual perversion without actually showcasing it it's fucking brilliant

Wait wait wait, you say that wind is used to exploit the female form by having her be clothed, but haven't you been thinking that it's the other way around? Clothes are used to portray the wind? I don't see any other way to effectively portray the wind other than adding clothes and/or using longer hair. Using longer hair by itself would not be impressive enough, so artist used clothes.
And what with nipples? For what I see nipples are fine, they aren't too big, average middle size nipples.
Flute being a phallic symbol? I honestly have no words for this one, except that even I can't imagine it like phallic symbol.
First thing I imagined seeing this statue is woman waiting for someone near sea on the edge of some hill, a symbol which I see often used. Flute just adds to that in sense that it provides additional detail in memory of person she assumably waits for.
Maybe you should stop thinking outside your little box and stop to act on provocations people throw at you.
this is what i like to call "being obtuse on purpose"

i dont know how many women's nipples youve seen verb but those are definitely not in the realm of unrealistic

You are a dumb fuck when your logic is literally “Boobies! How preposterous!”
you're a dumb fuck when your logic is "i'm going to pretend you've only made one point that you never even made"

Their curves and features are mesmerizing, not even in an erotic sense.
you say it's not erotic, but it clearly is for you removing your sexual tastes from the picture, there is nothing to admire

This is a beautiful sculpture. There’s also nothing wrong with the female body or admiring it. Grow up already verbatim you’re acting like a little kid afraid of cooties.
Nope

Techniques like how to make hard stone look like soft flowing fabric which is the whole point here you dumb fuck
how could i have been such a dumb fuck to actually focus on more than one specific aspect of the piece
Oh my, for such an attentive person like you who focus on a lot aspects you acknowledged only one single aspect, which is that nipples show through clothes.
You didn't mention that she holds flute, or that anatomy of her body is sculpted great (look at her hands, bones are showing up in the places they should, membranes are in place in her neck), or that effect of wind is portrayed greatly in her dress and it took a lot of time to sculpt.
Pretty biased of you.
the only thing i can ascertain from the flute is that it's a phallic symbol, or i wouldn't be surprised if it was the anatomy is not perfect, based on the nipples which i've already went over--i'm not impressed by much else, given that a talented sculptor should know how to sculpt a hand by default, so that seems elementary the wind effect is indeed cool and is the most impressive aspect, but i find that it's overshadowed by its more troubling aspects--like how the wind is only being used as a tool to further exploit the female form by having her be clothed, but leaving nothing to the imagination, so to speak it INVITES degenerate thought, as can be observed in the first few replies in this thread time taken to make the piece doesn't factor into my critique, it's not a tangible aspect of the final product being observed, and all sculptures take time, effort, and talent, it's the nature of the art form

yeah you're right, not only is that the one single reason this sculpture was created, it is also the only thing that an intelligent person would ever notice or analyze about it how could i have been such a dumb fuck to actually focus on more than one specific aspect of the piece

the female body is actually kind of disgusting
it is not more or less disgusting than the male body, but it is certainly not beautiful and this is not a beautiful depiction of it
it's not a sculpture of a woman, it's a robotic and soulless idealization of one
A good female body is so sleek though. Like a tasteful luxury or sports car. The shapes and curves are juuuust right.
Fem bod aesthetics 👌
when human sexuality is removed from the context, bodies are merely crude sacks of fat and blood and tissue revolting in every way

it might as well be a nude sculpture, and that would've shown more integrity, but the fact that she chose to give her an outfit suggests that there's an attempt to conceal her sex appeal in plain sight—which is very sneaky, but highly transparent to anybody who understands the basics of any visual art form
it's actually pretty fucking slimy and disgusting, and the worst part is that she probably didn't even realize it—she probably learned her craft from men who went on to teach her some pretty unsavory techniques, utilized here

good job chinese lady for sculpting something that only caters to the base appeals of men
the female body has nothing to do with men and the statue isn't sexualized
way to base a work of art against the sexuality of half the world
yeah that outfit totally isn't revealing every contour of her body, including her extremely large and cartoonishly prominent nipples, not to mention the coy/demure expression on her face that's definitely not trying to cater to the male gaze at all

the online experience is going to be fucking atrocious btw and i'm really excited to prove myself right
Sounds like a fair way to judge something.
Are we pretending now that Dark Souls Remasted's online experience isn't even more of a complete shitshow than the original?
I don't think verbatim is talking about the shit netcode my guy.
why would i not be if there's any reason i can find to dump on it at all, i'm obviously going to compile them all together

When you start the game up, it doesn't ask you if you want to play online. It just logs you in automatically.
big, big point loss there—had it actually asked me, it would've solved my #1 biggest problem with the game

nah i do, just being facetious
in terms of how i connect with him, i think i mostly just connect with suffering people in general, or at least with people who are trying to be a voice for a group of other suffering people, and i don't necessarily have to be black or be born where he was to understand or empathize with him about life on that base level, where shit just kinda sucks and there's no hope in sight, but at least we can stick together and pull through it, as long we stop killing each other
it's kinda feel-good in a way, and the consciousness of his lyrics certainly beats the FUCK out of every single other rapper in the game right now, with the notable exception of danny brown—but even he, sometimes, would do well to tone it down on the glorification of drugs and shit, because the opioid crisis has really driven my tolerance for drug-happy music to a whole new low
even so, i don't necessarily need to connect with a rapper on a personal level to fuck with their music, they just need to be super talented and rap over a nice-ass beat (most of the time, bare minimum)—i consider being able to connect with an artist on an emotional level to be a bonus, not the main thing i look for
you might like DAMN. more because it's more about internal struggle as a human being rather than as a black person, which is what TPAB is all about—but it's also more "pop-accessible" with a mixed bag of songs
GKMC is pretty good too because it's like TPAB except he takes a more "cinematic" approach—it's a concept album where every song plays kinda like a scene from a movie, and they're all part of a grander overarching narrative which is pretty engaging
