Serious / The San Bernadino shooters used 30 round magazines.

What do you think of this? Discuss.

RANT AHEAD:
Spoiler
I personally think it goes to show how ridiculous and unenforceable the "high-capacity" magazine ban is in California. Magazines are exceedingly easy to get your hands on and are plentiful to no end. Banning what really are standard capacity magazines and on up so you might slightly inconvenience the small percentage of people who commit crimes with firearms at the cost of taking away the rights of those who don't is what I call ridiculous. Not only that, but one of the shooters' rifles didn't have a bullet button. If someone is willing to go out and kill 14 people, then I'm sure they'd be willing to break California law and order a <20$ magazine release online and replace the part. These laws are only minor invonveniences to people like the San Bernadino shooters and are not worth punishing everyone else. Why the other gun had a bullet button? I don't know. I would assume it was because of lack of time. It sure wasn't because they weren't willing to modify their guns illegaly, since they attempted to modify them to be full automatic. I think it's also worthy of note that the shooting was, as always, in a gun-free zone.

The Flood / Sporterized Springfield 1903A3 or Winchester 70?
« on: November 03, 2015, 06:19:13 PM »
T4R. Both are owned by the same person. Both are on consignment. Both are hand engraved by a master engraver and are beautiful. They both come with scopes already mounted. The Springfield is chambered in 30.06 and the Winchester I cannot remember. The Springfield is around 1400$. The Winchester I don't remember exactly but I believe it was in the 2400$ range. Here are some pictures that look somwhat similar to the guns I'm talking about. They are close, but not nearly as pretty.

T4R. The F-35 program appears to be a phenomenal clusterfuck. It seems to be a massive mess of a dysfuntional plane that only exists because of corruption, greed, and the investments already put into it. One thing I'm hoping is the case is that the F-35 is just a front and much of the money going towards the F-35 program is being directed to another better top secret project. I see no evidence for this theory and I am genuinely worried that this might not be the case. If it's not, then that means that the U.S. military is even more incapable of properly handling money than perviously thought. The implications that arise if what is being said is true are massive. It would make me ashamed of the U.S. military. I guess there's no way to know for sure unless one of you can provide evidence for either scenario. If the money is going to another military project, I doubt we'll ever see it declassified within the next 20 years. What do you think?

It'd be a lot more interesting if they expanded on the story regarding the war that is vaguely mentioned in the series. It would be really interesting. It would explain why there are so many absent fathers. It would be interesting to find out that Ash's dad really died in the war and his mom telling Ash that he is a Pokemon trainer on adventures is just a lie cooked up by his mother to spare Ash the devastation. I would go ahead and take a guess that the war revolved around the world converting into the odd utopian socialistic state that is present in the Pokemon series and one or possibly several countries who opposed it. Of course, that would be if Pokemon was a bit more mature, but knowing its child friendly nature, if the did expand upon the war, they'd probably make it about the ethical treatment of Pokemon or some shit.

« on: September 26, 2015, 10:22:01 AM »
We just cooked our homemade "donuts." These delicious, evil and unhealthful bitesize beasts are made of pilsbury cinammon and yellow frosting rolls, which we proceed to unroll, fry in butter, and then throw in a pile of powdered sugar. We then throw this unholy mound of flavor onto a plate. We then search the pile of sugar for these little fired devils and then proceed to eat them greedily. What kind of odd recipes has your family cooked up, flood?

T4R. I believe this mainly because of the presence of the log entries. Many of them refer to the composer itself, which is nothing special, but there are a couple worthy of note. One of which is one that says, "I'm initiating a full redundancy cycle on the chromatics data, but in the event it doesn't go through, I'm going to store a hard dump of the same in the #31 maintenance shed." I found it odd that one of these logs would refer to a specific location. Now the #31 maintenance shed is in the same room as the log entry. Both are in the composer room. The problem is, when one goes into the #31 maintenance shed, there is nothing interactible or even worth of note. There seems to be some sort of computer hub, but its low resolution leads me to believe that it is not of any significance. Now there is also a data pad on the floor, but there are also several other data pads all over the ground in the composer room. These might be something or nothing, but so far, I have found no way to find out. Now there are also several spinning satelite dishes in the Composer room. At first I thought nothing of these, but then I thought of the log entry when it said, "but in the event it doesn't go through." I thought maybe if I destroyed all these satellites, it wouldn't go through and somethng might appear or happen in the #31 maintenance shed. I am currently in the process of doing this, but have had no luck since there is no way to tell how many satellite dishes there are or if I had gotten them all.

Another couple of log entries I found interesting are two that say, "I'm sorry. We are currently expieriencing system-wide outages. If you require immediate assistance, contact infrastructure, 048." I found it especially odd that they would put the log entry just to tell you that. This leads me to believe that there is a way to repair and access the information on these log entries, which could possibly be part of an easter egg larger than the log entries themselves. Something I think can either help confirm or debunk my theory regarding these log entries is the fact the this, "Infrastructure 048" is mentioned on signs throughout the level. The only thing is that where they are mentioned, they are in text form, and are an exact quote of what is said in the log entries.

Something else I found interesting is the presence of destructible cameras throughout the level. I doubt these do anything, but I thought it was worthy of nothe that 343 would go through the trouble of making these random cameras throughout the level, some of which are in completely out of the way places, destructible. So what do you think? Does anyone have any information on any of these things? Has an easter egg already been found? Am I wasting my time?

The Flood / Why didn't Zod just terraform Mars in Man of Steel?
« on: September 24, 2015, 06:57:09 PM »
T4R. I'm sure that those magical space machines would have been capable of restarting Mars' core, or at the very least, replenish it's atmosphere to Kryptonian standards. It would take a while for the atmosphere to dissipate. More than enough time for them to maintain it, even if the core is dead.

The Flood / Hunger makes a man to do terrible things
« on: September 19, 2015, 05:44:47 PM »
I was hungry. I had a grill cheese on the stove but I was impatient, and in my hunger-driven rage, I got the biggest tupperware bowl I could find. I then put in it an evil concoction of miscellanious foods that is composed of: canned corn, canned french-style green beans, canned green chile, re-fried beans, carrots, taco seasoning, dijon mustard, cheddar cheese, Jack cheese, cayenne pepper, and finally, salt. I don't know what I was thinking. By the time I was hald-way through, my grill cheese was ready, and in eating it, I became tame and my hunger-driven rampage has ceased. I no longer desired what I was creating. This event blinded my culinary skill. The lack of hunger prevented me from deciding on what I should add to my creation in order to make it delicious or in the very least, edible. I trudged through the birthing process of this abhorrent slime. Eventually my stamina failed me and in my weakness I gave up. I put it in the microwave to complete the culinary crime that I had just commited. Once it was warm, I took it out, tasted it and was dissapointed. In my shame I erased all evidence of this frankenchef wet dream, covered my creation on foil, and put it in the fridge in hopes that some member of my family may find it and actually commit the sin of liking and eating my failed cuisine abortion. I now sit here in shame. Console me, Flood.

The Flood / Is there a kind of GPS dog collar with a lock on it?
« on: September 14, 2015, 12:03:32 PM »
T4R. We have an evil genius dog who loves exploring and escapes anything we put him in. He jumps to absurd heights and always escapes. He doesn't run away. He just disappears for a day or two before coming back home. Each time he does, he returns without a collar. We suspect there is someone out there that he visits and think that he is their dog since he comes around often, so they keep taking his collar off. We've had quite a few episodes where we've had trouble finding him and I'm scared someone might steal him and he won't come back. So what I need is a collar that can't be removed without the owner and has GPS capability so we can find him in case he doesn't come back.
