I appreciate the response. I know now not to come here anymore. Where else would you recommend specifically?

T4R. I want to talk but don't see any quality discussions going on in here. I long for the days when I could have a meaningful conversation on The Flood back on Bungie.net. This forum never lived up to those days. What's going on here that's worth knowing about? Is there another forum with meaningful discussion that you'd recommend?

The Flood / Re: How is everybody doing? It's been a while and I want to talk.« on: June 24, 2019, 08:31:51 AM »Things have been p good for me aside from losing work, but it’s good to have some extra time to get the house cleaned, meme it up on Halo MCC with the boys and hang out with the gf. Gonna get on the job hunt too so I can get off benefits and earn again. My car has a dank power steering leak so that’s fun, but aside from that it’s all gucci 👌That's good to hear. 64
The Flood / Re: How is everybody doing? It's been a while and I want to talk.« on: June 20, 2019, 02:30:04 PM »That's nice to hear. Going to church helped me find a lot of purpose. A lot of people don't believe in God but haven't experienced how real He is if you actually start looking for Him. Spiritual doesn't seem real until you've experienced it. If I had a unicorn in my garage, I could tell you, but you may not believe me until you find out for yourself. All of that is still a wip for me unfortunately, but focusing more on myself and what I can do day-to-day has massively improved my general mood and health. That and a somewhat recent event brought me to the realization that I want to live because, if for no greater reason besides fear of the afterlife, I want to continue to experience things. Watching a new movie, traveling, trying new foods, having conversations and reading from sources I normally wouldn't, etc etc. Life can be awful, and so can the world, but that can't stop me from seeing everything it has to offer with my small amount of time here.Over the past few months I've primarily been focused on maintaining my inner peace, and now I'm trying to get my life back on track without losing it.Not needing to worry about the future is a wonderful aid. Not needing to worry about death or the overall state of the world is nice. 65

You know, the usual. The method that helps me is treating the emotions as if they are entities. Like a a liar over your shoulder telling you how to feel. If it's not how I want to feel or know better, I want it gone and treat it like a liar. "I am the captain now." 68

The Flood / Re: How is everybody doing? It's been a while and I want to talk.« on: June 13, 2019, 09:10:18 PM »Not like I was ever particularly known, but I still frequently lurk. My life is pretty stale, self-medication is really the only thing saving me from the deep end. I think I'll manage though, now that I'm on my own (no roomates, no gf). Just a place for me, where I don't have to deal with anyone else or their drama. Best decision of my life so far.Well, you've got this place to vent some. I understand the appeal of freedom. Just remember that no man is an island and humans need physical social interaction. 70
