I think that this whole fad is based off of people wanting something to brag about and nothing more. Just thought I'd throw that out there. It's a shame it's come this far as to totally frack up our society in the ways that it has. Pride and ego are two of the worst things someone could prioritize, especially if they do so in such a way that forms/changes their values. Social conformity should not affect someone's values in the way they do today.
