Spoiler
Nebula is the only right answer. Anyone who doesn't choose the pretty blue cyborg lady made the wrong choice. She also survives Infinity War which is nice.

I may be drunk but I'm pretty sure you can't even properly terraform Mars because it's not large enough to maintain an earth-like atmosphere or something.
Would you be so kind as to provide your source?

156
Too much energy and resources would be required to do such a thing, it'll be ridiculously hard and take so long to achieve decent results
The amount of time it would take isn't surprising, and I think whatever resources it would take to make another planet habitable for us would be worth it. What are your sources saying the resources required would be to much?

157
too stupid of an idea to address seriously
Why do you say that?

158
We should probably address problems on Earth while we wait for Musk and his ilk to get at least one person to Mars in the first place.
The problems on Earth are exactly why we should be striving to colonize Mars in the first place.

as a staunch constitutionalist, I don't recognize any perceived "right to privacy"
I believe unreasonable search and seizure covers it.

Its not like my FBI buddy Tom is going to stop watching me.
This kind of mindset is counterproductive to the cause. If it makes no difference to you, would you be so kind as to sign the petition anyway? It takes about a minute.

The Flood / Do we need an Internet Bill of Rights?

If you say yes, then sign the petition: https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/internet-bill-rights-2
For the uninitiated:
Quote
It didn't make sense to me since free speech is already guaranteed in our constitution.

But, thinking logically, the one thing that would scare the data-mining cabal the most is an articulated right to privacy when using the internet.

No more data mining for ads. No more algorithms screwing up how we communicate with others on Facebook. No more capturing my favorite soda to sell to a competitor who might want to make me buy something else.

Also, and really important to me, is the right to be forgotten. It's already been adjudicated in Britain. Here's a bit of the detail:

https://www.theguardian. com/technology/2013/apr/04/britain-opt-out-right-to-be-forgotten-law

We should have a right to disappear.

So if this continues to be a thing, think of it way beyond being censored for free speech. Think of it in terms of privacy, too. No more selling personal information. No more dedicated IPs to track your every move. No more email apps that pre-select your possible replies, because no more email being mined.

Mail could be configured with the same privacy rights as US mail, for example.

Last I'll post on this one. But if it goes forward, please consider expanding the scope.

Also keep in mind that there's more than the WH petition site to make your ideas known. Most of us have senators and congressmen to represent us in Washington, D.C. Maybe talk to a real person?

Depends. What part?
Dallas, but I can move about. What would be the best town for tourists?
El Paso was a bore.
The people who live here agree. We got a Top Golf though. So that's nice.

Considering all the previous references and hints, I believe it really is. You'd have to be following it to know what I'm talking about. You can look at everything yourself. It's all been archived.

The only encounter I had with this Qanon thing was when schizophrenic boomers were shitting up /pol/ with threads for a few days. I figured it was just a really complicated LARP, not to say it isn't. I'll keep an eye on it though.
Any claiming it's a LARP is just willing ignorance now. http://ytcropper.com/cropped/We5aa1b3278dd0a

There have been hints here and there from POTUS that Q is real, but someone who wants to be skeptical could consider all these thing coincidence. Well not anymore. POTUS literally made a Q with his hand during a speech recently. Link: http://ytcropper.com/cropped/We5aa1b3278dd0a

Not really a prank, but I did masquerade as a middle aged man on this site for a while. I did the same on B.OLD as well.

You should read through all the posts and look at the corresponding news that broke. There's a lot to go over. It looks pretty convincing to me.

T4R. Q seems to be a high level government insider giving us a glimpse at the battle between good and evil behind the scenes. Here is a website that covers many of his posts. https://qanonmap.github.io/
Whether or not you believe he is real, you should keep up anyway. If he real, there is some really heavy shit going on behind the curtain. If he's not, it was fun. The website I posted covers many posts but not all. If you're interested enough, finding the rest of his posts is not hard. Just use duckduckgo.

The Flood / Re: Is there any way to save Mexico from itself?
« on: March 03, 2018, 09:05:20 AM »
Fun fact, Tijuana has less crime and gun violence than most American cities and supposedly it's regarded as one of the most dangerous border towns. You're significantly safer walking around there than say, New York, Orlando, or San Francisco. Not to say it doesn't exist because it most certainly does, but most of the violence is exaggerated for American media. Which shouldn't come as surprise.

Also worth considering the fact that drug trafficking is entirely dependent on American demand.
So the people go over the border daily and tell me Juarez fucked along with the rest of Mexico are lying?
Have you been to a border town in the last 5 years?
I live in one. El Paso, Texas. Everytime I go to work I take a good look at Mexico.
El Paso is in the US, that's not Mexico. I actually meant a border town in Mexico. Have you been across the border in the last 5 years?

I've heard about some of the crazy shit in El Paso though.
I think I live close enough to know that things are going to shit down there. I have been across the border within the last five years, but that was on a boat. I don't plan to go to Juarez any time soon. I prefer to stay alive, thanks.

The violence isn't about being mugged on the street. It's organized crime and cartels going at it with each other and the Feds.
Honest question, how much worse is the violence compared to American gang violence and mass shootings? Also it's entirely true that their access to guns is entirely the fault of the US's extremely lax gun laws.
I'd say the violence is a lot worse. There's random killings, kidnappings, torture, they hang bodies around town and leave severed heads all over the place. Gangs in America (apart from Chicago) have really calmed down for the most part. And even in the 90's when it was really poppin it was always gang on gang with some innocents caught in the middle.
That's fair, but it's worth remembering that organized crime is still entirely the fault of the US, and overall Mexico is still significantly safer than the US.
I do not believe Mexico is a safe place. It seems to be generally understood that things are going to shit down here. The media just doesn't cover it because it's bad for business.
