Funny thing about those people and their priorities. It's the other way around. They've adopted priorities in order to hide from the thing that's eating them. By keeping moving, working, doing whatever, they're less aware of that nag at the back of their head, but it's still there. that's more or less what i'm saying; this sort of thing is all about adaptation, and adapting to your situation doesn't have to be the result of an imposition or losing the genetic lottery
when i see a college student living in the cushy first world who could be a little smarter, but doesn't have any socially crippling mental disorders mope about how lonely they are, i see a person who hasn't adapted to his situation properly, and doesn't seem to be doing anything about it
that's what i don't like, because that person has, quite frankly, the smallest amount of hurdles to get into a relationship out of anyone else in the world—and they have the gall to beggar for attention about it on the internet. fact is, you know what you have to do to improve yourself, so just do it, and you'll probably find yourself a gf in no time

now, in fairness, we are living in covidtimes, so it's not like dating has become easier, but posting a thread like this still makes you look like a thirsty little prick to me no matter what
I can't much argue with that. Due fairness, we also live in times of massive social change. The dynamics between sexes are changing. But another thing to consider. Pain is relative to the person experiencing it for the first time. Of course a cushy college kid is going to rant on the internet, a place of neurotic divulgence no less, because that might be the hardest thing they've encountered so far in their life. Perhaps years later their whining will look much different to them if they've managed to grow and evolve as a person.

If I had anything left resembling fear it wouldn't be for some random junkie's fate on some quiet forum. First sign of an addict is deflection. Defense to justify the existence, which is exactly what you're doing. What makes you different from the hundreds of thousands of junkies out there? Nothing at all with the exception of varying levels of willpower, which I can say you lack. You wouldn't have what it takes to quit let alone admit that you're walking along a downwards spiral. You show all the signs of dozens of people I've met who've burnt out or died, and you expect me to believe that you won't end up there? Not to tie cement shoes onto the dead horse or anything. I remember what I was like when I didn't have a notion of ever having a partner. I never thought about it nor did I ever notice that I was alone. I just went about my business day by day. Then I bumped into a friend who eventually became somebody I considered my significant other. The experience of being by yourself and "whole" if you want to call it that, doesn't compare to being "whole" as yourself and having another person who ascribes to your life. At that point, they aren't just some random person that completes you, you enhance each other to a respective level that you couldn't ascertain by yourself let alone experience. Plus, I dare to ask the question of what's the matter with somebody wanting a partner? People don't just feel alone for the fun of it. If you feel alone then it's an obvious sign that something is missing from one's life. Granted, I understand that many people can often put too much emphasis on relationships, thinking that having a partner will solve their problems. Truth couldn't be more opposite.

An extremely fine line that's almost non-existent. There's a threshold somewhere in the mentality that changes, and I think it involves the aspect of malice. Some revolutionary's in the past have achieved their goals with limited use of violence or force, or at minimum, attempted to control the violence so that it was mitigated into a sector of sorts. It wasn't violence for the sake of violence, but a means to an end that had to be mitigated as much as possible. With terrorists, violence is also a means to an end, but there's no limit on mitigation, and I find that there's often an introduction of malice because of this. Not only is a terrorist fighting for his ideals, but he's invested so much into his ideal that he begins to hate his opposition, paving the way for acts that not only seek to destroy the opposition, but to cause excess suffering. You can see this example in deep end political spectrums all the time. Semi-normal human beings will argue their political side, treat the other side as opposition, and attempt to win. Deep end political zealots, on the other hand, will begin to preach violence against the other side, or act violently or disturbingly in the presence of their opposition. At the root of terrorism is war. Both revolutionaries and terrorists create the product of war, be it physical or ideological. The line that separates them is how fat they're willing to go. Revolutionaries are the precursors to terrorists.

Because our bodies naturally produce their respective hormones, does that therefore mean anybody who is trans has to keep taking suppliments to counteract the balance of naturally produced hormones versus delivered? Or is there some sort of balancing point where your body is just altered enough that it switches to producing the opposite kind in greater quantity naturally?
Essentially, you have to shut down your body's natural production of sex hormones using one drug, and introduce the desired hormones back into the body using another.
It's a lifelong treatment.

The monument demolishing is the same principle as what's recently been nicknamed cancel culture. The real roots of cancel culture lie in the growth of political correctness and attempting to whitewash impact and truth. To answer the question, I'd simply ask another question. Is blacklisting somebody and destroying their career a correct moral move to make over some internet statement made over a decade ago?
Personally I don't think so, because it does not acknowledge the possibility that said individual has matured or grown in that time span. I think this principle should be applied to monuments as well. It's a relic from another era. Information is the most important tool we have, whether or not the information suits our worldviews. These monuments provide a window into viewing the past and the people in that past, no matter how ugly. If anything, they should act as a reminder of what we could become again if we don't watch our step. We shouldn't give in to kneejerk emotional responses, "bad man in past must be erased!"
Bad man in past must be studied so that his mistakes are not replicated.

It may or may not be old news to you bunch but I was personally mildly fascinated to learn that CE Anniversary contains two bugged lines of code that persist into the MCC, which account for about 75% of Halo CE's graphics.
Bumpmaps in CE:A are totally fucked and only work if you shine an independant light on them, like your flashlight, and transparency shaders are also botched as well, rendering anything in the game that had a transparency shader as a somewhat "off" looking mess.
In comparison, if you run your original xbox CE alongside CE:A in classic graphics mode and compare both of the games side by side, the original xbox has superior graphics. All because of several lines of code. Neat.

 Finished another on the backburner. An edit as I think I'd like to add some notes to the picture. I've practiced for about a decade now, how to just open myself up when I work and let whatever shit I carry deep down come out. I use music as a medium to space myself out and go somewhere far, and for that I have my significant other to thank for teaching me how. Before I met her, my life wasn't the best, and I teetered on the brink of suicide. After her death, I fell much further into these particular depths. I can remember during these phases my affinity for heights, in which for some reason I was at a very distinct peace while up high, until one day the notion that I could jump and die sunk into the corners of my mind. It sunk in there until I was at peace with death, looking down onto the world below. My life was in such a terrible state that death was the only thing of meaning, and it called out to me. Even today, looking at towers and high places, I feel that somewhat unsettling feeling of peace. It's pretty clear, studying my own work in self reflection that this was intended to evoke that feeling, both the despair and duality of beauty to it in my warped state of mind.

Self defeating sentence. Life sucking on occassion can be summed up as not getting what one wants. I knew many homeless who could be salty and bitter over that. But never to the extent I've seen some gamers rage in their own particular way. Keep in mind that I never said somebody can't get salty over what they want to have it denied. The psychology behind games creates an immense need and focus, so naturally if anger arises it will be as intense as the need. The key difference between a manchild and a rational human being is whether or not they choose to lose control of their emotional stability and rage. Which is why I find raging gamers to be a pathetic sight. I've walked alongside people who've had reason to rage as much as some gamers do, and yet they maintained a presence of decency and respect throughout their entire time with me.
So perhaps you can understand my thoughts now. Have you ever been sad in your life? Really sad, down and out to the point of tears? And have you ever bumped into someone who was also sad to the point of tears, but found out that their reason for being so upset wasn't really much of a valid reason? It works the same with anger.
Before you say that I said one can't be angry, I never advocate for that. People always get angry sometime, even me. The difference is how they choose to handle it. The very subject of this thread was the salty community of lol after all. Their bouts of saltiness are pathetic.
Your attitude is detrimental. You're saying people should stop taking things as seriously as they do and control themselves. Geniuses, athletes, pretty much anyone at the top will lose themselves to their job. They'll neglect the fact that they're crippling themselves, eating for days, or other shit because they're so invested. I don't know why you're comparing a gamer who is trying their best but failing, and a homeless person who doesn't have enough money to live comfortably. Humans don't care about what's normal or accepted as good conduct when they get tunnel vision on what they want. They will sacrifice everything for it.

Everybody experiences emotion by default, it's what you choose to do with that emotion when it hits you that marks your emotional maturity and your ability to control yourself. If you can learn to control your emotions, then no longer are you a puppet for reasons and actions you don't stop to think about. Nowhere did I say that you had to live life on autopilot. I lived life on autopilot, and it's a different kind of hell. As for a loss of ego? I think some people would benefit in their lives to shave a bit off.
