Shitty, aggressive, ban worthy posts don't lose their shitty aggressive ban worthiness over time. If it was just LC he pissed off, sure, one day would have been an acceptable timeout, but he's pissed off virtually everybody here at some point. Dickery should be a bannable offense, and consistent dickery warrants a longer ban.
If we ban dickery, the entire of the bloody site is gone.
There's a distinction between being a jokey kind of asshole and just being an asshole.
And yet as shown, no warnings were given for it to justify the cumulative punishment. Either Verb was his regular self and there was a failure in consistent moderation for banning assholery, or verb got cumulatively punished for a rule that doesn't exist and is broad and based on the mod on duty, being emotional when they should be objective. Ignore the fact Verb's involved entirely, and the problem is far reaching and effects everyone who feels like being a tad too sarcastic one day.

He could very well have been informally warned for previous times and we just don't know about it. It's not are place to know about Verb's private interactions with the Mod team.
This whole thread is now a moot point though, from what I see on Verb's title, it appears to look as if he's not banned anymore.
A fair point, but it could either way. Neither of us know honestly. And I disagree with it being a moot point. Regardless of Verb's unbanning, I'm not focusing on the individual here. This shit could happen again and to any of us, albeit only a few are likely to feel it. Doesn't make it any less fair than beforehand if we just accept the status-quo that any of us can get retro-actively receive a combo-punishment.

Either ban him every tine he's a shit for 1-2 days or don't bother, not wait until he's hit some arbitrary monthly shit-quota and slapping a cumulative time ban on him. hence "quota" and "cumulative"
^^ I see it as a general rule, 'you can't call it out a foul if no-one's noticed and play has carried on'. Unless there's been previous warnings about his behaviour to cut that shit out, you can't just say at a random point "right that's it" and ban him for all the other times, otherwise it's setting a precedence for the rest of us so that we can be retroactively banned for shit we did that at the time wasn't called out. I think the institute weapons are probably some of the worst weapons I've ever seen in a game. They look ugly aesthetically, they take up around a third of the screen and are pretty much universally worse than the bog standard laser rifle you can get.

Makes sense from a story standpoint. - Made from plastics because they're easier to assemble and cheap to produce (though let's not get into where they got the plastic from). Very efficient at the cost of fire-power, in an environment entirely closed off from the outside world. - Institute uses synths which are just shy of terminator-level strength and resilience, against foes which at best would have scrounged up lower levels of technology (right up until the BoS turned up, anyway) to fight back. Synths are expendable, so are the guns. It follows on to... - If most of your missions are scavenging tech from the surface and taking it back to an inaccessible bunker underground for research, there's no need for gatling lasers to kill molerats and radroaches. Same for kidnappings and replacements, who your grabbing is unlikely to be well armed to defend themselves. Send in the synths with batons to bludgeon the dude and then teleport out for "questioning".

Meh. Looks great on a shelf, a bit cumbersome if you try playing the game with it, autistic if you try and walk around in public with it. Thankfully I stopped at stage 2. The box and the metal cd case are a nice addition, but imo not worth the £100 price tag it came with. Even less so since they later went and made an actual functioning standalone pipboy without the phone slot.

Even though it seems he dislikes the power, he uses to his advantage whilst running from the police by changing into a woman when they lose sight of him as Curtis.
Curtis then uses the his power to relive his career in sport after being banned by competing in the women athletics team, under the identity Melissa. Alongside her is Emma, a woman Curtis previously shared a sexual encounter with only to find himself unimpressive in bed. Melissa and Emma eventually falls for each other and have sex, which Curtis claims the experience as more enjoyable.
On the downside, Melissa, being an attractive young woman, becomes the target to unwanted attention from her coach Mark. Mark, molests his female athletes and gets his eye on Melissa. He spikes Melissa's drink and drives her to a secluded area where he tries to rape her. Just before he can commit the act, Melissa regains consciousness and turns into Curtis who then punches Mark.

Fuck, that show really went downhill in the later seasons.
I think it was after Nathan left in S2. Series 3 was ok but the entirely new cast they had in 4 and 5 were pretty shit.
It started to suck once Simon and Curtis left. By then Rudy was considered "an original" and the stories seemed to dry up a bit.
