The Flood / Re: We need to collate a list of Comms Officer's names

Am I the only one who doesn't hate him?

You aren't.

I mean really, all he did was topple a weak forum. Now we have a better one. A stronger one.

Why does it matter?

Everyone's been given a clean slate regardless of what exactly happened, and having a lasting grudge will only lead to more anger.

If they pull shit again, they're gone. Now leave it be.

I wouldn't mind playing, though I kinda prefer execution. with it's S&D player mindset.

GT's Superirish19 if ya need me.

The Flood / Re: Most unbiased/most reliable news network?
« on: July 28, 2014, 12:34:50 PM »
RT, Al Jazeera (although slightly doubtful) and BBC

BBC is unbiased, they have to be, British law demands that the BBC be wholly impartial as it is funded by the TV license

> Implying that just because the government said something that that's actually how it works.
Do you not remember what went on in the last decade?

Do you mean the hacking scandal, or something else?

Noble Legendary I think by now.

I wonder if they ever will be carried over, I mean the stats are still there on b.next to carry over if they ever code it back in.

Ah right so.

So what happens now? To whom do we give apologies for a deception and dish out bans for getting two sites nuked, or do we just sit and watch hoping nothing further comes of this.

I'd probably say BBC, but then again I haven't really been exposed to other news sites apart from the papers.

That they're all bollocks anyway.

But...I guess I'm a lefty liberal.

I shouldn't mind checking it out later.

Has it been a long-standing one? The last Flood server I joined had a max of about 3 players, and that lasted only 5-6 hours for some reason.
There's a max of 21 I believe. That should be more than enough for our size. And yeah, it's very long standing. Like, years man.

Awesome.

The Flood / Re: Your edgiest/contraversial opinions?

-Drugs should be legalized outright. Honestly, I think it'd solve a lot of problems, and how I've suggested previously to set-up regulation and taxes, the potential damages could be covered (Unlike today where usually the tax-payer ends up footing the bill for OD'ing and other damages).

-I don't agree with Hamas, but Palestine seriously need a state...and seeing as they did have one pre-1967...

-Some varied conspiracy stuff. Not Malaysian plane crashes being one and the same or ghosts or crazy alien abductions, but mostly around the Kennedy assassination. 'Tis weird, that one.

The Flood / Re: I found out my old bnet rank
« on: July 28, 2014, 03:10:46 AM »
I think it's literally the first title after Member. I had it only for a short while before Bungie updated, which kinda sucked.

Honourable was essentially "Don't get in trouble for 6 months - 1 year"

Yeah...I may have been in a bit of jam somewhere in the middle of my time there...

I was an honourable member, looking at my old profile.

How far up or down the system was this?

If Noel becomes mod, I'm leaving. He'll ban you for making a racist or anti-transgender remark.

Actually... I'd kinda expect any mod to do that. Or at least a fair warning.

The Flood / Re: Well that was fucked
« on: July 27, 2014, 08:28:48 PM »
Fuck it.

You remind me of the "big lamp" at the end of The World's End.

Anywho, don't get too down, your effort was a commendable one. To get a forum back up and running in about a day is amazing by my paltry standards.

Mr Psychologist (if they're here).

And not Noelle or Kinder. Not out grudging-ness, but I'd expect automatic bannings of certain people automatically, and banning people expecting a "fresh start" would be a tad hypocritical. Hell, anyone with a pre-disposition towards people (negative or positive) would be a bad choice for mod, including me.

And on another note, even if we did decide who we'd like as mods, don't we need Admin's backing seeing as this site isn't exactly *ours*?
Nah, Mr. P's an asshole. As for your last paragraph, Cheatlancer's a reasonable guy, and I'm sure he'll listen to reasonable suggestions from this thread.

But why? He doesn't appear an asshole on the forums (though PM's and that lot are unknown to me).

And yeah, a fair point 'bout Cheat. I mean, he made us a site which is kinda nice.

all you have to do is zoom in from browser, looks fine after that.

Woah. Not sure about you, but zoomed in makes me feel like I have partial blindness.

The Flood / Re: What do you want out of this?
« on: July 27, 2014, 07:57:57 PM »

I'd like it if the forum were bigger and didn't leave so much space on the sides.
Eh, I disagree. The slimmer style is better for mobile.
It's responsive, so it'll adjust to whatever device you're using. Try it for yourself and shrink your window.
I suggest an option, widescreen/slim(default)/mobile view.
Just an example from another forum:

It's a bit thin.
better than fat. And it actually looks good on a tablet.

I dunno, I wouldn't mind if there was at least an option to have it fat.

But to be fair this place is nice *settles into armchair in the corner*

Irish signing on.

a bit OT, but why'd the second one go down? I thought we had things roughly smoothed out between everyone.
