Aw.
It's just my last name means "Son of Donnell" (whoever he was), and I got the O' part to go with it.

-Israel (and Hamas) are bastards. I really don't want to go into it.
-Northern Ireland should be part of the Republic (but I'm not going to bomb people over it) -Wales needs more political power, or at least control of it's people's taxes to fund where they decide (English people in Wales seem to hate this idea for some reason) -The increase in tuition fees for Uni are fine (will go further into this*) -Nuclear power, while being "cleaner" than fossil fuels, is still a bad option. * Spoiler While I (and maybe you) might have to pay more in debt through the student loans system, everyone seems to forget you don't pay back UNTIL you earn over the average wage (~£21,000), and even then, they take out a minuscule fraction of that each month (~£20) until after 30 years, where it is WIPED COMPLETELY, regardless of how much left to pay back. I don't know whether the increase in tuition fees in the first place was entirely justified, but seeing as you're never really put in a tight spot (that's the government's problem for implementing a system which is predicted to earn less money than the previous one, not mine), you could hardly consider yourself under a "mountain of debt". 5854

I use it to follow NASA's goings on, and the occasional Israel/Palestine joke that arises from Frankie Boyle.
Also, use to be mildly sarcastic at things during my daily life, e.g. Complain that my Uni accommodation is an internet black-spot. (though describing it funny, in 300 characters or less). You'll get used to it, maybe even like it if you try and avoid following the celebrities and stupid people who rant about their dramas. 5856

I can keep to a schedule when I have stuff to do (and set alarms) like school but I usually feel wrecked in the morning for the first two hours.
When I have no purpose (no job, school, or specific time-restricted thing to do), I end up waking up naturally...around 2pm, regardless of when I went to bed the night before. Also, relevant song: YouTube 5858

Serious / Re: Musings Thread« on: August 21, 2014, 05:49:41 AM »
Walking home late at night has made me see that everyone is afraid.
Everyone knows a dark narrow alleyway or street that no-one really goes down because it might/might not have unsavory characters, right? I happen to frequent these places on my way home because I've noticed the people who walk down there are just as afraid of everyone else in that alley as you might be. Hell, it's the only place I know where people would rather cross the street away from you rather then walk past on the pavement. (And hopefully as you all know I'm not exactly a creepy or scary guy - I have braces ffs :L). So yeah, scary alleyways at night aren't that particularly scary. Not exactly trying to advocate this, what with the stories I hear of America and it's gang controlled places and "ghettos", but at least in Britain this holds true. Spoiler 5868

The Flood / Re: Nameplate Ideas« on: August 19, 2014, 02:57:22 PM »
You could have countries (or in the case of America 'cause it's fucking huge, states also)
Then colour variations based off the flags (not sure about states...I assume they have some sort of flag/crest for each state?), and maybe some stereptypical thingy-ma-bob text, e.g. Ireland something to do with leprachauns or guinness, Idaho with Potatoes, Colorado with Mountains, Nevada with Deserts, Germany with those sausages, Britain has a special "Brit-Bong" title, that sorta thing. Of course, this would take fecking ages. Maybe start with EU and US first? 5873

Serious / Re: Are fedora/edge comments tools for the ignorant?« on: August 18, 2014, 11:22:08 AM »
I suppose it's easy to berate those for differing beliefs when in essence they are trying to escape from the fact that they don't know what happens when they die.
Atheists I'd assume have come to terms with there being a significant chance of there being nothing after they die. Christians (and other religions) have decided that life can't just end so abruptly, and that there must be something more. But anyway... yes, the fedora tipping/edgy insults are fucking retarded, but I wouldn't associate it with Christians insulting Atheists online, I'd associate more with the "WoW playing, neckbeard-living-in-mother's-basement 30 year old" stereotype than anything else. 5876

I'd rather not have AIDS/HIV coursing through my veins simply because there wasn't proper checks to ensure whatever I was receiving was safe in the first place.
My point exactly!...kinda. It doesn't make sense that homosexuals are singled out because of this if heterosexuals aren't. 5877

Serious / Re: FDA: "Gay Men should not donate Organs or Tissue"« on: August 17, 2014, 01:37:54 PM »
I can see why they're refusing to accept donations from homosexuals (as they run a higher risk), but then again, the fear of infected donated blood/tissue should also apply to heterosexuals too, right?
Simple rules should apply for all: If person (regardless of sexual orientation) has had sex in x time previous to today (x being time that potential infection would show up in tests as Flee mentioned), then they can't donate. Don't even need tests; a simple tick-box on a form would suffice. If they're reasons go beyond the risk of infection, than obviously the FDA is becoming borderline Nazi with the screening process. 5880
