After much deliberation with Talon Company, President Dave has decided to ally with them and welcome them into his fair state...by being their state!

President Dave maintains his title, and elections have been suspended.Again. This time indefinitely. Bob will maintain the Embassy of the Republic of Dave in Denver as a subsidiary of Talon Company, and will begin recruiting and annexing the rest of . Population growth and trading continue, with recruits being hired every 2 pages.

Actions
Republic of Dave under Talon control (while remaining as a state...kinda)
Embassy of The Rep. Of Dave grows by 5 every page
Rep. Of Dave Military grows by 10 every 2 pages (President Dave will figure out rooms for them later...)
Elections cancelled. (President Dave is secretly happy)

Fat.

I can work it off, if my fast metabolism doesn't burn it anyways. But an addictive substance? Nah, I've seen my Dad try (and fail) to kick 'em several times and I've already got lung problems as it is.

You're complete forgetting the fact that France, Russia, and Mexico all had territory in what is today the United States. The US purchased France and Russia's land and won Mexico's land from the Mexican-American war.

I never said I was educated in American history pre 1940's...

I can't really tip because as a student I need the money  ::)

But if it's really good service (the local Indian restaurants' servers strike up conversations which is nice) then I give what I can (but atm it's never over £5). If it's standard "heres yer food, enjoy", then I know they get paid enough to not rely on tips for a wage.

Ok...:

Bob sent word to President Dave that the Communist asian threat was eliminated, and that he will be returning with the Enclave to Denver, to found an embassy. President Dave appoints him Ambassador and awards Bob the highest medal of honor; Dave's Star.

Meanwhile at the Republic of Dave, the population has risen to 15, with a 5 strong army of highly trained, vicious, er...child soldiers, the spawn of President Dave and his First and Second Ladies. The training regime mishap was only a small bump in the road to ultimate expansion of the Republic!

Trading has also increased with outsiders after President Dave decided to waiver his "unwanted immigrant tax", but at the minor cost of money inflow (very, very, very minor cost...). After the battle for the America and the Republic, the population decided to keep President Dave on an extended term, with elections not being held until page 55.

Actions
Bob sets up the Embassy of The Republic of Dave in Denver city, somewhere.
Republic of Dave Population: 11, with a 6-man/child strong army.
Republic of Dave's Economy has been stimulus-ed, out of recession, whatever. Faction coffers up 20%, enough to soon begin recruiting outsiders for the army.

*EDIT*

Bro you forgot Bob left the Republic ages ago, pages before.

Serious / Re: Your morals =/= fact
« on: September 05, 2014, 11:43:14 AM »
Why that may be the case for individuals, but I could argue that laws are based off what the majority think are "wrong".

Granted, wrong and right are completely made up things we as a species have created to dictate our lives on a daily basis, but seeing as some things people do lands them in jail has to mean morality counts for something.

Same as votes. One means nothing, but en-masse they count.

Anywho, my morals are based my experiences of life so far. (Mostly, that I like free things especially when it's hard to enforce law abiding, and that being nicer to people is a lot easier to do than being an asshole. But that's me.)

No

No for what?

Anywho, Bob accepts this alliance, and heads to Denver to the Embassy of The Empire of Bob.

Public highschool. We had a little under 2,800 students at my school. I live in a city with a lot of people and not enough highschools or schools in general.

Jesus. I live in a small town (you could barely call it a fecking town...), and it's the only choice out of two schools in the area (~40 miles) that allow English speakers.

Bob returns to the Republic of Dave after the defense of the West Coast, and returns to realize that The Rep. Of Dave is no longer there (and instead there is a warehouse with a Talon symbol, with a conveyor belt moving tons of brahmin hooves...Bob doesn't wanna know)

Assuming total destruction of his Republic and President Dave, Bob decides to scavenge & wander, moving in the direction to Old Olney.

Actions
The democratic Republic of Dave faction has become the autocratic Empire of Bob faction.
Bob improved combat skills and training from his defense of the West Coast with Enclave forces.
Bob has improved armour and weaponry, mostly acquired by scavenging and looting the dead Asian forces. [Combat Armour + Laser Rifle]

Scavenges for supplies and shelter [Takes 1 page's worth]

President Dave has discovered problems with the training regime for his remaining army of 2 sixteen year olds, and has to re-analyze the training schedule.

Increasing population growth plan continues. Bob continues to aid defenses on the West Coast.

Actions:
AFK until tomorrow. 'Night!

Upon news of a potential Communist uprising, as President Dave I postpone the elections until further notice.

As Supreme Commander of the Military of Dave, I will send all I have at my disposal to aid in the defense of the West Coast.

Actions:
Sends Second in Command, Bob to aid the Enclave on the West Coast
Postpones Elections
Trains further recruits to bolster the Army. Adds 2 more men to the Military by page 40. *EDIT* second half of page 40.

The only Presidents here who have big sticks are the Presidents of the Enclave and NCR.

You better be aware, I have my Second in Command of the Armie of Dave, Bob who is well trained.

Also, President Dave will sign the treaty if he is required to combat this mysterious threat.

The Brotherhood of Steel has T-51b and T-45d power armors from back west. And they own all of Virginia, which I think where Davetown is.

I'll let you go this time, but it's The Republic of Dave. You will address it correctly, and me as "Mr President", or you will be executed.

Spoiler
President Dave here, announcing the brand spanking new, Republic of Dave!
Spoiler

After overthrowing my father and the Kingdom of Tom, I represent a small bastion of democracy in a wasteland of anarchy, just north of the DC ruins. I'm happy to welcome any ambassadors to discuss peace treaties, (or surrendering to me personally) at the Rep. of Dave Capitol Building at the top of my fair city.

Population: 7
Dave's Army: 2 (inc. Commander Dave), armed with 2 5.56 assault rifles.

Actions:
Elections will be held on page 40
Currently bolstering the population to increase the army, hopefully to 10 men by page 41.

I assume that if everything were kept stable (as in, remained under control of Britain), WW1 would be significantly shorter what with the British Empire being having larger production of armaments, and men. This could lead to the invention of the Tank never happening, or at least being delayed.

Germany might have been absorbed into the British Empire after WW1, leaving Russia out of this version of WW2 as Britain would have maintained the Tsar Monarchy (they aided them during the revolution in 1917/18, but ultimately failed due to lack of resources available. With this alternate timeline, resources aren't really a problem). Spain wouldn't have gone under control of Franco's fascism as his movement wouldn't have been supported by the Nazis, changing Spain as it came to be today seeing as Franco's regime finished by the 1980's I think. Israel wouldn't have been created because the Nazi's wouldn't have caused the Holocaust, and Palestine would still exist (though under British Rule).

Japan would still invade South East Asia however in the late 30's, leading Britain to declare war on them after an attack on Pearl Harbor (and the invasion of Hong Kong and Burma/Mayanmar and threatening India). Japan would ultimately lose and the war would be over, but again the war would be a shorter one (what with only one Axis power, Italy wouldn't stand against Britain in the first place). Perhaps the Nuclear bomb may not have been invented and produced as rapidly as it was, what with Japan being likely over-run and taken over.

At this point (late 1940's/1950's) Britain would be at it's peak. Allies with Tsar-ist Russia and a democratic Spain, France and Italy may feel threatened by Britain being practically a Mega-power, and we would have lost as a result:

-The Tank
-The Assault Rifle
-The Nuclear bomb
-Jet technology
-ICBM's
-The Moon Landing (and perhaps, the space race in general of the 50's/60's)
-The Jewish State of Israel
-The EU (as we know it. Might be Italy/France/Spain/Portugal)
-And probably a few other things.

Spoiler
I re-iterate, this assumes complete stability. Many of the British Colonies could still have revolted at some point (e.g. The IRA in the 1920's, now add in the Bolsheviks, Spanish Fascists, various German groups such as Frei-Korps/KPD/SPD/Nazis, etc) and would change this outcome.

I lost many when I moved away. To them, I'm the one who disappeared.

I tried to keep in touch every so often by visiting them on my holidays back there, but the last time was 2 years ago. One of my friends is currently in Hungary doing something medical related (somehow?), most of my other friends are going to some sort of Irish uni, and the odd one or two kinda went downhill after I moved and no-one talks to them anymore.

One friend comes to mind when I moved to Wales. One of the first friends I met because he had just moved too, and then by the end of the year he had moved away again back to Cornwall/Devon I think, next to some ice-cream factory. Haven't heard from Charlie since.
