Not sure what you're trying to prove here, but for most people (myself included), the death of a countryman will tend to have more of an impact. Doesn't mean their life was any more "valuable".
Oh I'm not trying to prove anything, I just thought it would be an interesting discussion. Ah, that's the word I was looking for...Impact. Hence the quotes on value.

Ah yes, what better way to counsel a stressed depressed suicidal than to give them the stress of a trial...that 'oughta work.
It doesn't make sense why this is a crime. If it brings psychological trauma to those around them, why don't other crimes factor this? I've no idea how long this law has been in place, but compare it now that domestic abuse laws are only starting to try and accommodate for psychological abuse as well.
Perhaps we should just go back to the 18th Century punishment for Attempted Suicide; hanging. Oh the sick irony.

The last poll option should be 4.
Ah, I wasn't entirely sure on that one. Who did I forget, I'll update the OP.
Alan Henning. He was beheaded Friday.
He's already in the OP, so is Scotloff and Foley. Who else got beheaded?

Note: The last option should be 4, but I can't edit the poll. Chosen one? Excellent! Now here's some depressing context: Spoiler 191,000 estimated killed during ongoing Syrian Civil war, including civilians, though the figure is thought to be an under-estimate(though previous estimates by the UN have put it at a round 200,000) The 3600 estimated to have been killed so far in the Ukrainian Civil war.The near-3000 killed in the 9/11 attacks. I won't put up a source, you all seem to know this as fact. The 3800 recorded dead by the recent Ebola spread in West Africa. And finally, the 3 4 Westerners that were beheaded by ISIS over the last few weeks. James Foley, Scott Sotloff, Alan Henning and David Haines.* * Of course I'm not going to ignore the unrecorded ones of those under ISIS rule in Iraq and Syria, but there aren't many figures for that (not to mention the bias western news has for deaths of it's nationals), but Iraq's death toll alone under ISIS is around 5,500 according to the UN. Now my question. Considering you know where these figures are coming from, does that change your perspective over which amount is worse? Would the location, the possibility of you being affected by this personally, or the nature of how these numbers came to be change the impact and your "value" of the death?

And I mean a really serious impulse, to the point of prolonged fantasising and planning.
No, never planned out killing someone.
There were times I could absolutely kill someone in that instant of rage, yes.

I'm still pissed that they killed off a lot of the characters I liked since season 2 onwards, but the last episodes' ending leads to me to believe there'll be some sort of action involved in the premiere of the new season.
Or...they'll sit and talk about plans in the train cart, and I will lose interest very quickly.

Go ahead, you have most of my details scattered around here somewhere.
Fortunately for me I am somewhat hard to find for reasons unknown to me. Searching my name comes up with pages rather than people for some reason, judging by how hard it is for my Uni friends to find me.
If you do think you've found me, put up my profile picture here and I'll confirm or deny.

Levenson: Spoiler Scores range from 1 (low) to 5 (high).
Your score from primary psychopathy has been calculated as 2.6. Primary psychopathy is the affective aspects of psychopathy; a lack of empathy for other people and tolerance for antisocial orientations.
Your score from secondary psychopathy has been calculated as 3. Secondary psychopathy is the antisocial aspects of psychopathy; rule breaking and a lack of effort towards socially rewarded behavior. You score for primary psychopathy was higher than % of people who have taken this test.
You score for secondary psychopathy was higher than 71.45% of people who have taken this test. The second test: Spoiler here is no clear indication that you might have a psychopathic / antisocial personality disorder. You reached, however, 75.00% in other relevant traits that can indicate this personality disorder. You might have certain traits of antisocial or psychopathic personalities but certainly not in a form that would justify a personality disorder diagnosis according to the standards. Score: 8 of 38 [8:3/2/3]
There are strong indications that you might have a narcissistic personality disorder. Score: 5 of 9
There are strong indications that you might have a histrionic personality disorder. There is, however, no scientific test to confirm this diagnosis other than to verify the symptoms by subjective means. Thus, some people may be wrongly diagnosed as having the disorder while others with the disorder may not be diagnosed - with the result that treatment is often only prompted by depression associated with dissolved romantic relationships. Medication does little to affect this personality disorder, but may be helpful with symptoms such as depression. Psychotherapy may be of benefit and will aim at self-development through resolution of conflict and advancement of inhibited developmental lines.[D:6/I:5]
You meet as little as 40% of the range of general personality disorder criteria.Having a result indicating either a psychopathic/antisocial, narcissistic or histrionic personality disorder but not meeting important criteria for a general personality is unusual. I agree with being Histrionic at times (but I don't see why exactly that would be a problem if you're a jolly theatrical...), but Narcissistic? I'm not fond of gazing myself in the mirror, and I generally dislike my facial appearance, not exactly losing hours to staring at mirrors here.

It's not like this is the first time for that...
People are generally blind to the fact that Israel is held to higher standards in the media than most other countries. I don't know where this delusion that they are still untouched by criticism comes from.
Oh, I wouldn't argue that. But Israel don't give a fuck, which is the problem. Sure, held to higher standard far more than Hamas, but it hasn't exactly stopped them killing civilians in friendly fire (I'm leaving out "accidents" as there's plenty of debate around that...). Hell, I haven't heard from any source saying Israel has apologised for any such cases, they only get angry and justify their actions some more like a broken record.

Not in the same class.
If they did this for Geology, I'd be getting one stratigraphic chart* going back 4.8 billion years, and then another with only 6000 years old and a layer where it'll be "SEDIMENT LAID DOWN AFTER GOD'S FLOOD".
It's not compatible. Sure, teach it to give alternate viewpoints but don't teach it like a fact.
*Sorry, flaunting what little knowledge I've gained since Monday. Sorry.

I've put my picture on once and I'm happy to say my first name (Séamus) and general location (Cardiff), but any more and I feel like I'm mixing boundaries between my forum life and real life. I give enough information to feel comfortable with yet distanced. It's the same if several strangers just came to me and said "Hello! Give me your full name/address/weight/height/ethnicity/age/etc...
Plus, none of you fuckers are finding me on Facebook. With my location and first name, giving you anything more compromises it. I prefer being distanced.

Certainly. How someone could connect religion and morality together I've no idea, because there's plenty of religious and non-religious people who have been immoral.

Nope, though in the summer you see loads of Orthodox ones with the curly bits of hair having their holidays in Aberystwyth. Very surreal wearing traditional jackets and shirts while everyone else is roasting in shorts.

It seems every debate or argument I've seen usually results in a "chicken or the egg" argument where both sides try to say one or the other started it going all the way back to some ridiculously tiny event a 1000 years ago. While a millenia ago it wasn't Israel V Palestine it was generally Muslim and Jews doing various acts. Hell, Ireland's Catholics had 800 years of shitty history with British Protestants and both have (largely) settled their differences at least to the point where the worst you'll get is the odd fight over a parade. Why can't they just do that?

Its very easy to get the Karma achievements.
I find it a waste of time to get the levels for the Karma for such a simple achievement when I could just play the game how I want to, like helping everybody until the last second and then fracking everyone over and help YesMan/Me.

Still waiting on Treyarch's CoD.
2015 will be a good year for games.
Treyarch hasn't made a good game since WaW.
Don't know about BO2, but Black Ops I thought was pretty damn good. Had a theatre mode and everything.

Oh gawd not this again. I think we've all gathered that by this point, both sides are complete bastards and frankly I'd be happier if both sides just dropped dead.
Both sides either need to make peace or Israel can stop the prolonged torture and just annex what remains of Palestine, so I can hate them more. After all this, frankly neither side deserve any rights to the lands with the barbarity they've pulled over the last thousand years or so.

Draw something involving vore.
so long as it isn't NSFW-ish I'll draw it >.> So any progress?
I'm afraid not. This is just a running thing when I have time to burn and with my University Lectures starting today, I won't have lots of it. I will however be doing them with my spare time over the next 3 years(I've got a list of everyone's down on a noticeboard in my room). I hope no-one minds waiting that long... and that the site is still here to post them of course.
