Maybe I need to leave this site, but not the small communities I'm in. I'm okay in those.
Take a vacation man, you mentioned you had a "Deci appreciation thread" or something along those lines. Just get in there and soak in ego for a while.
Why does this sound more of an insult than a complement?
Hmm. In retrospect, it kinda does. My bad. Regardless, who doesn't love a bit of positive attention? If anything it'll balance out being here too long.

Related fun fact... per litre, bottled water is more expensive than petrol (gas, for you 'Mericuhs)
Why did no-one do a petrol-bucket challe-...actually, nevermind.
Anywho, it wasn't just that. Attention is a wonderful drug, and what better way to get it than by pretending to do it out of the good of your heart?

Zenithar or Akatosh.
Can't really argue with an Anvil or a sword-swallowing Dragon as a God.

CHEEEESE!
Sheogorath, he actually seems jolly and less sinister compared to most of them, even if he is mad. Sanguine comes a close second, followed by Clavicus Vile

Fury. It's a solid firm overall.
That's what brought me to make this thread, to "ready" me before I watch it. Is it out yet?

I don't care if they're fictional, factual, in another language (so long as there's a subtitled version), or black and white. Recommend me war & conflict films, any and all of them. It would be nice to see some WWI or modern ones though, as there's bajillions of WWII/Vietnam films. EDIT: I'll start listing them so we can get a compilation if we ever need it. So far:Pre-WWI: WWI: WWII: Spoiler A Bridge Too Far Band of Brothers Bridge on the River Kwai Das Boot Downfall/Der Untergang Enemy at the Gates Flags of our Fathers Fury Inglorious Basterds Letters from Iwo Jima (Japanese side of Flags of our Fathers) Pearl Harbor Saving Private Ryan Schindler's List The Boy in the Striped Pajamas The Hunt for the Red October The Pacific Valkyrie Vietnam: Spoiler Apocalypse Now Full Metal Jacket Platoon Tropic Thunder
Modern Conflicts (Inc. Cold War & 80's+) Spoiler Behind Enemy Lines Black Hawk Down Heartbreak Ridge Jarhead Top Gun
The Future and Sci Fi Wars Spoiler Starship Troopers Star Trek (2009)

Have another ambitious one (what Uni btw?)
Insurance is what you don't aim for, that's the point. Have two ambitious ones as (depending on the University, course spaces and average grades for the course) the actual grades they want can be far lower then what they're asking for.
I really messed up my choices of Uni at the application phase, and so only had Cardiff Uni as a reachable offer and my insurance was to reset the year and aim for Leicester which had a higher (and at the time of the offer, literally impossible to do).
Plus, there's always Clearing if it all goes horribly wrong and you could use that as a secondary insurance (though that one's a bit more chaotic - usually you have to sort out your own private accommodation and rushed finances that way).
Whatever you decide to do though, good luck!
EDIT: I applied to 5 places (Geology):
Cardiff: AAB (anything, but at least one science) Cardiff (Exploration and Resources Geology): AAB("") Leicester: AAB (A in Geog and Physics) Bristol: Declined Offer Manchester: Declined Offer
I got in on an A (Welsh Bacc, if you pass it's automatically an A), and 3 C's (Geography/History/ICT), with a D in AS Physics. They accepted me on 2 grades lower than what they wanted, so you see how "important" those conditional offers are.

Of course, it doesn't mean that since Microsoft is successful today it will also be tomorrow, but the same can be also said for Sony itself which actually is in a worrisome state.
(Face it, the Wii U is decent, but it's not exactly a dedicated/hardcore gamer's target console).
Implying PS Fanboys are going to go and buy and Etsbax one seriously why would they talk shit just to go and buy and Etsbax later? Theirs more chances of them buying a Wii U or building themselves a PC
Most of those who talk shite are pre-teens, so I'd hardly take their word as fact. And seeing as the know little about computers ("what's a CPU and why should I give a shit about GHz?") yet would know a lot about the Xbone judging by all the comparison wars they have, I'm sure many would just silently move over into the Xbone camp and bash the Wii-tendo. It would leave the Xbone as the go-to console (now more able to do whatever they want as there's hardly any competition) with the Wii-tendo being a family/more casual thing, targeting families, old people and Elton Johns.

Wow, that sounds pretty bad. I was thinking of getting PS4 as Xbone hadn't really caught me with anything amazing, but at this rate it's probably safer to get a PC after my studies. That's the only time I'll have enough of to make use of it, and have money to invest in one. If Sony's collapsed in 3 years time, PS4 will unfortunately go down with and that'll just allow MS to monopolize the market further. (Face it, the Wii U is decent, but it's not exactly a dedicated/hardcore gamer's target console).

Cloverfield Bladerunner Apollo 18 How I Stopped Worrying and Learned to Love the Bomb (B&W, but Peter Sellers tho) Moon The Big Lebowski Watchmen
I'd expect everyone to have at least seen one of the last two. If not, DROP WHAT YOU ARE DOING NOW AND WATCH THAT SHIT.
How is Apollo 18 on that list?
I personally thought it was a decent film. Makes itself seem a bit too serious until the rock-spider thingies, but still a good film nevertheless.

It's not exactly a brave thing per se, but if I was in situation of certain death or suicide I don't think I could bring myself to choose suicide.
I don't know really. I've never been in a position where I've either witnessed or felt suicidal feelings, so I can't really give a good judgement. All I can say is that it happens a lot, and I find it disheartening.

A good one, I think.
He didn't do good choices early in his life leaving school at 16 and generally not giving a shit, doing various amounts of drugs and so-on. By his late 20's he decided to clean up his act so he went to a college, got a diploma and married my mother soon after.
When I can't turn to my mum about things relating to crazy psycho people (like one of my current roommates) or drugs, or that sort of thing, my Dad can give me good advice on it. He made sure I became a better person who made better choices than he did at his age. He's proud of what I've achieved so far and I respect him, even if he isn't the most educated person in the world (though he knows a damn bunch on politics).

I've got Deus Ex and HR, but I just haven't the interest to play them. I've tried a few times and I just can't stomach it for some reason.
On HR I'm currently stuck on one those Aug Bosses...how exactly do they die?

So should I ask for compensation from English people for controlling my country for 800 years, or the Scandinavians for raping and pillaging monasteries that my ancestry might have been involved with a millennium ago?
I think not, and it's the same principle. The people that tried to convince you that, OP, are frankly retarded.

It's a great time to be alive I think.
Babys for the infertile, eyes for the blind, hearing to the deaf and ability to the unable.
Shame it costs an arm and a leg for the average man (unless there's a health system in place, and even then you gotta wait. Still, PUNS, HA!)

Hmmm... Then again, the money isn't going into disaster relief for the EU. Didn't Hurricane Katrina cost $2 Billion and lose $800 million in estimated revenue for Mississippi? Europe don't get that. Spoiler Ok, the EU had to bailout PIGS (Portugal, Ireland, Greece, Spain) to the tune of several billion euros as aresult of the recession/depression around the same time, but there's going to be an estimated return on that; far higher than what they bailed out in the long term.
