The Flood / Re: Morality question
« on: January 10, 2015, 09:12:33 AM »
You mean the most favorable option?

Yeah, not everyone thinks it IS the most favorite option. Which is the problem.
Perhaps I've mis-worded it. The more controversial option. There's always those morning after pills which are essentially same thing.
How many teens do you think are THAT responsible? That they'll take every measure to prevent any mishaps?

I'm gonna say the number is close to 0.
Let's see now...

Out of two schools ~250 people within that age, which had about 50 couples (inc. those with other people outside of school). I recall 2 cases of pregnancy overall, and 1 being planned and actually doing well.

Obviously not all had sex in these relationships, but you can damn well rule out  that a bunch of teenagers not doing it. Your odds are waaay to pessimistic.

Seventeen? That's still stupid as all fuck to be having sex at that age, but whatever. AoC laws are fucking retarded.
Why? Curious on your reason.
Because you're still in school, and risking any chance of pregnancy is the dumbest thing you could ever, ever do.

And it gets exponentially DUMBER the younger you are.

Agreed on the latter, though you know contraception exists, which you can stack up to make a chance of pregancy virtually nil.

And there's also the less favourable option...

Ying and Yang, no?

Two farthest extremes battle it out and create moderation.

...or sucks in moderates to the extreme.

You're giving kids free will to turn up?

That's really not recommended. At Uni when we are allowed the freedom (but obviously you need to work), half of my 175 class doesn't turn up, 40 never being seen ever. And coincidentally thats the exam resit level.

It's ripe for abuse, particularly if a learning mindset isn't instilled already amongst the kids before they go to such schools.

Since when did people think Hamas were moderate?

This isn't good news, at least for Palestine. A confirmed visual presence of ISIS there and starting up a new conflict is just begging for Israel to fuck that place up for good, this time with international backing.

Sensitivity class sounds like a lesser version of a "re-education" camp they have in NK...or a very very very watered down concentration camp.

I'd debate the fuck out of it to not go, it's total bullshit.

Contact your bank and tell them your account has been compromised.

They'll send you a new card and refund the purchases.

Aaand let you keep the purchases. This shit has happened to me before.

Serious / Re: "Why hasn't Japan banned child-porn comics?"

I think more study needs to be done to find it if it does lead on to the real thing, but I can see why it should be banned to be on the safe side of the unknown.

Until then, I think it's weird, but if that's what someone enjoys in the privacy of their home who am I to stop them. If studies come out that show it is a "gateway" or indicative of some pedophilic urges, than I'll revise what I've said.

Wow, they look really nice.

I never understood why historic figures have to be on currency. I can't recall the old Irish money (especially notes) before we had Euros very well, but it was mostly just Irishy animals.
E.g. Irish 10p was a fish, 1punt (pound) had a deer and 5p's were bulls.
Spoiler

EDIT: Turns out notes did have some Irish people on them, but I've no idea who they were.

4676
>not realizing  they were the great saviors of Ireland from the brits
>Not realizing the ones who actually fought for freedom were waaaay back before the ones now, and no longer exist.

The modern day IRA (or the "Real" IRA or whatever bullshit name they are now) are no better than these terrorists. The ones with an actual cause were in the 1920's. Today they are just thugs out for a fight, and spout the same no true scotsman bullshit that the terrorists that caused this attack do.

Back on topic, I think this one so far is the most powerful (the imgur album of them seems to be down, this is the best I could get):

In other words, a few muslim extremists shot the place up over a cartoon, and now unfortunately muslims in general will have to deal with it.

It's funny because it's literally London. The condition of the buildings are the same and everything.

And the parades of ISIS too, don't forget them.

They're always doing socials down here at the Uni.

Noisy bastards can't keep it down with their chanting and firing AK's...

The Flood / Re: I let people know my location, and I don't care.

But, if you're open to the idea of meeting people over the internet and sharing what city brought you up as a kid, and discussing your place's culture and stuff like that, i don't see anything wrong with that

I'm fine with that, but your exact address is still stupid. You don't need to give it to meet with someone for the first time, you give a recognizable landmark, town hall or whatever.

You don't even need a lifeless fuck to "come get you" or whatever, it can be more sophisticated than that, and it's naive to think "it" can only happen that way. People can surprise you.
