What's there to remaster?

I'm having a hard time figuring out what they could remaster too. Re-imagine, maybe, but really what else could they do.

The Flood / Re: I'm thinking about changing my legal name.

Eh, I prefer my name rather than my username which was born out of it. As it is my nickname irl is "Irish" anyway so I'm nearly there.

It's weird having the same name as one of your grandparents (or higher relations), especially when they're dead. It's a tad creepy looking at my Grandad's grave when it says "Here lies Séamus"

Plug.Deej is a soverign state not part of Sep7agon's.

If Tblocks is being a communist dictator over there, well, you're fucked.

Well, not exactly.

There's already 2 other plug. rooms that have kinda superseded the original.

I've wondered this also.

I see Meta, Verbatim, Sandtrap and Challenger often in threads, yet barely ever see any of the heavy-hitters around here it all. Das and Byrne crop up occasionally in my view but not as much as the post count makes me think they should.

It's almost as if there's another hidden board on here somewhere...

Not sure I know anybody that consistently lies. That, or I'm a tad too trustworthy.

Ah well, hasn't hurt me nor anyone else as far as I can tell.

You seem pretty genuine from what I can tell.
Thanks.

Don't get me wrong; I'll withold information if it makes life a tad easier than blurting out the truth, but I rarely lie.

Hell, even people who have legitimate problems would do well to try and remember that they aren't the only people suffering in the world.

My housemate was raging in Finnish about some protests they're having over there because the government intends to stop giving the students 700 a month on their second degree, and comparing them to Nazis and the like.

I was kinda in shock about that, considering they not only get free University education there for their second degree, they get paid too. Meanwhile, in the UK... incoming ~50k debt after 3 years...meanwhile in other countries, fucking Primary school isn't a viable choice, or even heard of.

Gaming / Re: Fallout 4 looks better than all other Fallouts.

I'm talking about the stats governed gameplay, speech checks, skill checks, et cetera. Fallout 4 has removed these and turned the gameplay into what is essentially an FPS.

Can I get a source on those claims?

Did you watch the gameplay?

So lemme get this straight;

You're taking what little gameplay we've seen so far, which has almost certainly been vetted so that no major story is plot is gathered, (e.g. the short chat with the man has been clearly cut out, while the conversation with Codsworth is hardly to going to be anything important that needs speech checks or skills required), and basing it solely off that?

C'mon man, I thought you were better than this. I'll take back what I've said if you turn out to be right, but assuming they've removed the absolute core of Fallout from what little we've garnered so far is just insane. Closer to the mark with more gameplay preview to generate hype (and to respond to accusations such as this) will hopefully quell the doubts.

Damn that is tumor-inducing.

Worst I get on mine is the chav girls slagging each other off over who they've allegedly slept with.

A is positive (on xbox it's Green)
B is negative (Red)
X is neutral (Blue)
Y is further explanation/caution (Yellow/ "But Y tho?")

Yeah I'm not happy about it either.

What do you plan on eating and drinking once you can use your face again? (assuming you're being really restricted on what diet you can have)

I already have a few meals planed. In making a chicken bacon ranch and avocado pizza one night. Then I'm having my mom make me her pulled pork which is amazing. Then my girlfriend and I are going out for sushi

All of that sounds delicious.

the only thing im worried about is dialogue options.

Same here, but apparently it has been discerned so far that:

A is positive (on xbox it's Green)
B is negative (Red)
X is neutral (Blue)
Y is further explanation/caution (Yellow/ "But Y tho?")

But I would far prefer the normal dialogue method, that's something that has been in every Fallout game, was a perfectly fine system and would like it to stay that way.

3617
what are you even ranting about

He hates Fallout 4 already.

This resulted in a large thread on #gaming, and now he's here ranting about it.
how can somebody hate a game that isn't even out yet?

Door can. I mean it's fair enough to have criticisms about what we've seen of it, but judging an entire game on the very little we have on it is stretching the limits.

Well if I was a Dalek I would say The Doctor.

Nah, they just hate everyone.

But OT, fatties. Exterminating people that generally have no control over it is wrong, but being fat can be, albeit ignorant, a choice. But tbh I really wouldn't want to kill anyone.

What about the few people who have thyroid issues that create obesity? Hypothyroidism I believe is what it's called.

So far I've played an hour and a half.

Ship destroyed 3 times, crew killed in another when the oxygen ran out. Hell on my first ship I nearly killed the crew by opening all the doors and nearly suffocating them.

A community of nutcases maybe.

The occasional newbies are similar to tourists coming to a zoo.

I don't really get fighting dreams.

Last sorta related dream I had that somehow had me about to confront some generic thugs in a dream ended up me questioning how 30 of them fit into one car, and then they walked off.

Almost as if the dream just went "ah fuck he's noticed again, lets just go and we'll do it next time"

Insects are some of the most fascinating and strange organisms on the planet, I find. Unique biology. Incredible adaptability and versatility.

I wonder if an insect has levels of stimulus reaction comparable to larger animals or people. Aka fear and such.

So, actually, no. I can't. Not from an insects perspective.

The organism that is an insect is a damn strange operating system.

Arthropods. First skeletonised life (~500Ma), earliest land animals(~300Ma) and weird as fuck (Always).

Gaming / Re: Antivirus' game mode?

Actually, now that you mention it, I haven't even got 3rd party AV, let alone a "gaming mode".

MSE, or whatever Windows 8 has for it should handle it though just fine.

It's calming stuff but I don't get "tingles" from it. I get that from my music when I'm in a relaxed mood (which is almost always).
