iPhone still winning by a long shot.

Even android phone fanboys like RC have finally seen the light.

This is a terrible meme

Unlikely.

We're still waiting to set the bar for the "minimum excuse" to use a nuclear weapon, and no one remotely sensible wants to be the first to get internationally condemned and then subsequently invaded/nuked. Until we get a World War (which given the technological advances in military hardware over the last 70 years is unlikely to resemble a conventional World War), I doubt nuclear weapons on par with Fatman/Little Boy will be used again for a looong time.

Bunker busters and whatever else is nuclear on a sub-kiloton level will likely be used sooner, though that may ramp up the tensions towards going full nuclear.

When you're spending 4.5% of your GDP on military hardware, gotta make cuts somewhere to fit in the amount of SU's you want.

Halo 4 LE. Finished campaign over 3 days, tried multiplayer and was immediately disappointed. Haven't played since.

...anyone interested?

I know a few people who banged in a public toilet and a disabled toilet portaloo at a festival. Didn't know they existed...

I find those choices of scenery disgusting, so I personally wouldn't do it.

Is this security at Belfast level or higher?

(All the Gardai/Police carry pistols and drive riot trucks in Belfast, despite no lockdown)

Serious / Re: So did America basically arm ISIS?
« on: November 25, 2015, 08:33:30 AM »
They armed Al Qaeda when the USSR invaded Afghanistan.

I think it was AQ, anyway.
It was either them or the Taliban...

...or was it both?

Honestly though, it's better to check a reliable news source than here.
It was neither.

They armed the Mujahideen, of which the Taliban broke off and became their own evil little group. This is also over exaggerated, because if you noticed they have far more Russian weapons than American.

However, the point here is that America has funded and armed the Syrian Rebels which have been taken over by various terror groups, ISIS being one of the main ones.

Fair enough, I was thinking something like that.

I guess the recent TOW missile used by the FSA in the destruction of that Russian heli has not gone down well by anyone.

3 hours GIS today, and now I'm done for the week.

Autumn term has been a lazy breeze. Summer term will probably have me disappear from here when they catch me up with assignments and lectures.

I feel ya. You can do great at an exam but as soon as you leave school it all goes out the window.

Where in Wales were you

Cardiff, though normally I'm on the Pembrokeshire/Ceredigion border, about an hour from Carmarthen.

Ah safe, Cardiff is nice. Not a massive fan of Camarthen though.
No, neither am I, full of hipsters and chavs.

Serious / Re: Turkey may have accidentally started WWIII
« on: November 24, 2015, 04:00:53 PM »
It should be mentioned that Turkey has enforced their own buffer zone which implies 5km into Syrian Airspace is now theirs.  This puts the flight path of the Russian jet into a lot of trouble, as instead of the internationally agreed borders of Turkey and the small incursion by the jet in it's flight path, the buffer zone only recognised by Turkey put it as virtually in "Turkish airspace" for most of it's trip. Because fuck you, they're Turkey.

This is already a heap of shit, not to mention that:

-Rebels/fucking whoever started shooting the parachuting pilot, a big no-no under the Geneva conventions.
-FSA immobilised, than TOW'd an evac chopper searching for him.
-Turkey ran to NATO for advice/protection rather than sorting out the situation with Russia themselves.

Good fucking job Turkey, you pricks.

Your language looks like it was invented by an epileptic fit and a keyboard.

It probably was tbh

Probably.

You and others keep pushing the Welsh thing, I will become incredibly offended and spaz out about it, then announce my departure with a thread.

Then you'll be sorry m8.

Dydy ddim yn hoffi Cymraeg.

I hope I got that right, I spent 9 years here fucking learning it.

Pam? Rydw i'n mwynhau Cymraeg. Achos mae'n wych!

Feck it, can't reply back in Welsh but I got the gist of what you said.

It's mostly because how it's taught in schools here. If you're first language Welsh, great, you get taught it on par with English studies where they go into grammar and more advanced shit.

If you're second language, it's basically the above if you're top-set (I couldn't go there because I couldn't speak welsh fluently enough to understand or respond) or bottom-set which is elementary level Welsh (which I had already learned in the first year of being here...) until you no longer do it (GCSE's). There doesn't appear to be a middleground, either you know it already and it's honed, or you don't know it all and you learn fucking colours at 16. I get it, coch is red and gwyn is white, ok!

Also, fuck mutations.

Yeah in my school, there was an extra set above set 1 that was reserved for the people who went on the Welsh course in primary school. I was in set 1, was the only GCSE I actually got an A in lol. It wasn't too hard, just tedious at times

It's so bad that because I went into the lowest set I had the entry-level exam, which I passed easily because it's retarded. The highest you can get is a C, which I got, and it's a better result on paper than most of my fluent Welsh friends because they took the higher level exam and had a harder marking scheme.

And yet here I am, having barely a clue about the language but with a grade that makes me look like I know my shit.

2033 is best girl

The good ending is such a bitch to get though

2033's isn't so hard if you take the good choices in scripted bits (most are obvious) and literally explore everywhere.

Still haven't figured out how to do the good ending for Last Light though. Haven't looked at any walkthrough vids because that defeats the point, but I've been a saint in the last 2 playthroughs and I still can't figure it out yet.

Not sure what you mean.

If it's native population growth, then it's kinda obvious when most of the developed western countries have a replacement rate just on or below 1.

I'd agree with it so long there was a "I disagree with all the parties"/Abstention box.

If you're gonna force people who hate voting to vote, at least give them a reasonable choice to vote for.

That's the thing though, they didn't even go into British airspace if that diagram is correct with that red area.

Found a quote from the image's source, The Daily Mail...

Quote
A Ministry of Defence spokesman said: 'Typhoon aircraft went up from RAF Lossiemouth to intercept two Russian Tu-160 aircraft flying in Britain’s area of interest in international airspace over the Atlantic and remained with them until they left the area.

'At no time did the Russian military aircraft cross into UK sovereign airspace'.

Both of these sides are flexing their muscles at each other, haven't heard shit from Iceland, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Spain, Portugal, Africa, Italy, Cyprus...

« on: November 23, 2015, 04:14:12 AM »
Depends.

Throwing an orange peel or apple cores away is considered littering but it's biodegradable, so I wouldn't consider ot a crime in a rural area.

Things like murder and whatnot are pretty much going to be stopped by my morals, only laws I consider irrelevant would I ignore.
