Not really. Lost a Grandfather and Grandmother bon different sides of the family before I was born, so I never had the chance to get close. Other Grandfather had a close shave with cancer, but otherwise everyone close is relatively fit and kicking.
That's not to say I've lost people though. Two distant friends at school died (one hit by a truck, another jumped off a bridge with a rope) and my great-gran died when I was quite little. Oh and a shit-ton of cats, chickens, and my dog.

I'll get around to this on Monday, I have a kinda serious report over the weekend. TLDR version: England beat Wales, Wales had a moderate pick up in pace in the last 15 mins. England won Triple Crown. Ireland thrashed Italy as expected 52-15, but overall Ireland is still lacking in this tournament.

The will to do things comes and goes for me.
Work related, I can do a lot in a day and force myself to do it until a set time (and occasionally go over it if I'm really getting into it). I can get up at 7, be ready to do work by 8, and do work for the next 12 hours (with breaks for food, etc). For deadlines I make my best effort to finish a few days beforehand when possible. The fear of failure with serious consequences does that to me.
Once I don't have anything I'm obliged to do however, that goes out the window. For free weekends I regularly get up around 1pm because fuck it, I have nothing else to do and I can enjoy my inactivity. I can stop taking coffee whenever I want (as much of a cliché that sounds), and I have no desire to do other recreational drugs when I have important things to do (e.g. Haven't drunk alcohol or smoked weed in 2 months because I have shit to do and have no time for "extreme leisure" as I put it).
Breaking habits I want to break is a lot harder. Certain habits I've had for years and can get to a stage where it's almost stopped, and then relapse (although for one I can't be certain if it's just a habit or a syndrome - need a doctor's advice on that).

I'd love to know when a major earthquake or volcanic eruption near a major urban centre was soon to go off. This is ignoring the headline-attracting Yellowstone Hotspot or the more closer to home French hints of volcanism.

The Syrian conflict, the refugee crisis, the spread of radical islam, the aggressive expansion of Russia, the collapse of the EU, all that shit.
-The current job market
Apparently not a brilliant time to be an up-and-coming geologist. Or anything, really. Kinda ties in with my future.
-Personal Freedom
I don't think this needs to be explained. Doesn't everyone prefer not being a robot, having things involving themselves being done against their will?

Windows 10 looks alright from what I've seen on other computers but I cba to upgrade and I'm not sure what I could/will lose on the process when I've already got everything suited to me already.

This time last year, I was on a Fieldtrip getting fucked off Guinness and weed. My only regret that night was doing both the wrong way around.
The year in-between has been just as good. Went to every UK Country and Ireland in a month and had enough time to go to Greece, then the Alps to finish 2015.
