Serious / Re: If you had the possibility of creating AI, would you?
« on: May 27, 2016, 09:02:05 PM »
Uhh, yeah.

Can't be hypocritical here. If I willingly would create biological sentient life through reproduction, there's no difference between me writing a code to create a sentient AI. Well, sorta, but you get the jist.

That's if we're leaving reality to fucking fantasy land. Current capabilities of AI are pale in comparison to the supposed dream of creating a new sentient being. If I just wrote another version of Watson or Siri, that's not really a massive breakthrough (well, kinda considering I can't code at all).

Rent it out to NASA for cheap transport to the moon, or wherever.

Point it at the Sun and get a better tan.

Point it at windows so flies can easily leave without having to open the window more.

It's not like you'd take any advice here anyways, as evidenced by the billions of times we've tried to help when you've asked.

-'rents asking for rent? Step 1: Get a job
-Don't like the jobs at first? Step 2: Tough shit, otherwise you'll fail at step 1.
-Not enough money to get back into the degree? Repeat step 1.
-No friends? Step 1a: Meet people at your new job.
-Your dick is the least of your importance. Stop fucking around with it in fat chicks, stop chasing girls, and go see a fucking doctor to get surgery on it. Need money for that? STEP 1.

In other words, THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN EVEN BEGIN TO FIX YOUR PROBLEMS IS BY GETTING A JOB AND EARNING. Then kill 2 small bids with a large stone by incorporating other problems around it.

Out of all the songs in the album, this one's a weird one that's taking too long to get into.

I got 24. Apparently a Tiger.

Holy shit that's a strong South Wales accent, and that's coming from someone who's lived here too long.

It's like anything involving "oh" is just elongated far too much; similar to that episode from Archer;

But anywho, here's my random list of things.
"No"
"Coal"
"Pool"
"Pontypridd"
"Aberdaugleddau"

If you can shove em all into a sentence, that'd be great.

Hillary is leagues worse than Trump
lmao

people on this forum are fucking amazing

Put it this way:

Trump's incompetent. He's got plans but not really a proper method of implementing them, or the wider implications if he did. Would still cause a massive fuckup, but by accident.

Hillary from what I gather, sorta knows her shit. The problem lies that she knows what she wants to implement and how to implement it. Good for standard running the country, bad if she decides to ramp up surveillance, lobbying and other generally unfavourable things for the citizens. I take that as far more dangerous for your country than Trump blundering around policies.

Both are shit, no doubt.

One of my housemates only eats oven chips and chicken kievs for lunch, and then some jar of "tomato" sauce with pasta for dinner (It smells fucking awful so I'm not sure if it's even tomatoes, or if he's burning the sauce). He's been trying to "eat healthier", so he just shoves salad on top.

As for me;

Weetabix x2 blocks with full milk
Rarely have lunch - don't really get hungry. May be a cup of tea in between...
Dinner: Spicy sausage sauce and pasta/ Bacon or Tuna with red or green pesto and pasta/ Peppered steak fried with garlic and mushrooms and some oven chips/ Spaghetti Bolognese/ Mexican Chilli (basically bolognese with chilli powder and kidney beans)/ Tuna and sweetcorn pasta bake, with some powder mix for sauce.

Drinks usually Mango, Orange or Pineapple juice, and about 2 cups of tea somewhere in the day.

I don't think people will vote crazy in. Unfortunately it looks like it's a Shiniest Turd competition.

Hillary is leagues worse than Trump, but she could hold it together by at least acting professional.

I've always loved the visuals of Gran Turismo, even since the original on PS1.

But oh my god, the simulator aspect of the game just kills me. It's like trying to play a game from a painting.

Ver-Bah-Tim.

Verby just reminds me of that white VW bug that had eyes and was sentient.

That's just contradictory. Unless, somehow, all the men you've ever had a discussion with about feminism have been retards, and that's quite a long stretch at best, a generalisation based on gender at worst.
it's kinda true though

Which one? Retarded or generalising?

1582
Personally, I find it harder to take men's opinions on feminism seriously. If a woman is critical of feminism in some way, I'm more likely to listen to her than I am to listen to a guy. Is that wrong of me?

I'm not sure about the others, but that seems a tad off to me.

I mean, feminism is supposed to be about bringing equality, yet even as a supporter (as naturally most people are for equal rights), you hold a lower value towards one gender simply because their gender.

That's just contradictory. Unless, somehow, all the men you've ever had a discussion with about feminism have been retards, and that's quite a long stretch at best, a generalisation based on gender at worst.

Gaming / Re: difficulty in games
« on: May 22, 2016, 06:19:02 PM »
Metro had a locked "Ranger" difficulty setting. Basically relied on stealth and no HUD. Had to unlock it by playing Normal or Hard difficulty first. Didn't really block a harder difficulty, just a variant of it (that was a lot more immersive).

Seeing as I knew that from the start, it meant I played two ways: First time on Normal I just gunned everything down, going through the hard way. The second time was the stealthy almost-pacifist playthrough.

Couldn't complain because I enjoyed the story so much I bought the series twice (Both 2033 and LL for '360 and PC), but I can see that being a bit of a annoyance for most other people, especially if you think Normal is too easy the first time around.

There's nothing healthy about staying indoors so much you're pale white.

Unless you're Irish.

Pale white is the tan you get after spending every day out in the summer rains.

Anarchy Avatars don't work yet, sorry. For now you just have to pretend that you have a NSFW avatar.

Righty ho, cheers for clearing that up.
