Eh, I think that's a bit of a blanket statement you can apply to heaps of games, but to each his own. Haven't played CoD since Black Ops 2, loved the original CoD 4 back in the day and the IW / MW combo has gotten pretty excellent reviews overall. Haven't bought it yet anyways, but I'm thinking of giving it a go. At $45, I'm sure it'll hold me over long enough to get my money's worth.
You can apply it to games that have annual releases, but no, even the biggest CoD supporters agree it's not changed much from Black Ops 3.
I also haven't played since Black Ops 2. I just have no will to return to a twitch shooter that feels less like a war, and more like paintball.
After spending some time with it it's nothing like bo3. Feels like advanced warfare with things sprinkled in from bo3. They made it worse.
