pretty sure the unit number didn't make it on the slip because of an error with Google pay, or something like that, although it wasn't a problem with B&H

UPS is fucking around with my ram and psu.

they're saying Newegg didn't put down my unit number and asking me to update the address, and also telling me I'm not allowed to update the address or pick the package up at a UPS store

at the same time, they're telling me that they already updated the address and yesterday said it would be delivered by the end of the day, and online it still says I simultaneously need to/cannot update the address, and it wasn't delivered

Thanks internet

Are you sure that 10400 comes with a stock cooler? Intel doesn't usually include one with CPU's in that price class, as far as I know.

I don't think you should worry too much with those components. You have a non-K CPU that you won't use to overclock and your power consumption with those specs will be pretty low, so I doubt that temps or airflow are going to be a huge issue (especially given that you're going with liquid cooling). Mounting the radiator front / top each has its own benefits. People say that front makes for a (slightly) cooler CPU and (slightly) hotter GPU, and that top does the opposite, but it really just depends on your specific case / cable management / components and hardly matters.

I'd definitely advise against exhausting through the front though. That's a pretty unusual setup that doesn't really offer any benefits and often isn't even really intended by case manufacturers. I would just go with front intake, rear exhaust, mount radiator at the top and then see which direction you prefer there. You can either have the radiator exhaust through the top or pull air in from the top.

Yeah, the Intel stock coolers are pretty anemic little things with one fan blowing directly down onto a circular heatsink with fins pointing in every direction. I already have it and there is a stock cooler, but I won't really trust it once there's a gpu blowing hot air onto it. My bf uses the stock cooler with his 8700, but his 980Ti isn't a blower so he really doesn't have to worry about it.

I got the 10400 as a holdover and am really just trying to think long term. I might have it for six to nine months but at some point I'm looking to get something beefier in the LGA 1200 socket, for the time being though, I couldn't see an upside to spending more on a cpu today.

It's good to know that there really is no magic solution to make sure everything is getting cool air though, I guess I'll just have to decide where I want the heat.

I bought everything but the gpu (no stock) and the aio, I figure the stock cooler will do good until I can put it through its paces anyway.

First Load Arrived

Does anybody have ideas about the cooling configuration? The 3060Ti exhausts at the rear through the io plate and also blows air up toward the cpu block, so I'm wondering where to install the radiator and about the directionality of the front and top fans. Obviously, the rear fan is going to have to exhaust since there's already going to be hot air out there. I'm wondering if pulling cool air through the radiator at the upper two fans of the front intake, with the bottom front fan blowing in cool air, and the two fans at the ceiling of the case exhausting is gonna be the way to go. Or maybe a more traditional configuration with the radiator at the top could work somehow?

Like, a configuration with cool air coming in at the front and warm air coming in through the radiator at the ceiling and all of the air gets exhausted through the rear?

It's kinda a head scratcher.

Initially I was planning to exhaust through the front and intake air at the rear and top, but with the gpu blowing hot air back there it just doesn't seem to be the way to go.

what kind of phone do you have?
Samsung GT-S6102, which uses Android 2.3.6, uses touchpad, is 5 years old, and is obsolete, probably was obsolete when I bought it. I sometimes listen music on it. Sometimes I read books on it too, but it burns my eyes fairly quickly
broh that phone launched like a decade ago

What is the purpose of karma on this site? I downvote SC every day.
I completely forgot about this as well.

I believe it used to impact people’s titles but it was being abused, so Cheat nerfed it to the point of being useless.
lmao remember when Desty made a new account because I showed people how to use the built in task automation in windows to down vote him every day

There exists a confluence between the two.

What you need to consider is opportunity cost.

Sometimes, despite a move seeming to be a step down, it actually provides improved opportunities beyond what you might be able to attain or have currently attained in your current field.

You should not only consider the highest position attainable in your prospective field vs current, but the odds of attaining each level of earnings in each field. Whichever field offers the highest reward at equal chance is the most fiscally secure, assuming vertical momentum.

Next, you should consider the level of wealth at which you are comfortable. If that level of wealth is attainable within acceptable odds in both paths, you might consider other factors. Rather than pursuing the highest level of fiscal gain, pursue the amount of wealth with which you can live comfortably, then pursue factors such as, enjoyment of the job, emotional well-being, free time, and other things.

Obviously, the time frames will not align. Do not consider which of the time frames is the quickest unless the difference is so significant that it would cause you significant emotional detriment.

This philosophy is tantamount to: always do the thing that will make you happiest. However, contrary to typical happiness based career building, this method also considers your fiscal comfort.

By discerning first which career, even from the entry level (not necessarily which level you are currently at), can take you to the level of fiscal comfort you seek, assuming the two are capable of both matching that requirement, you can then consider the emotional comforts offered by a career you truly love, or at least enjoy most of the time.

Consider that you will be miserable in poverty if you are not able to reach that fiscal objective even if you actively enjoy your work. This will result in you becoming a workaholic. Even if you live the work, that will take a mental toll on you.

It is always worth seeking opportunity where it is available, as long as you always consider whether it is really available or not.

I hope this helps you.

In my experience with LSD, I've found that it's better to take most of it up front.

I would take three tabs, and the last one after 4-5 hours.

My last trip was that formula and it was pretty good on the front end, until I made the mistake of going to sleep. I had very strange vivid nightmares and spent most of the night sobbing uncontrollably, but before that it was a really good experience.

the last few months were pretty rough

My employer used to have three locations here in San Antonio and during quarantine we shut two down and our entire regional management staff got axed and replaced by corporate stand-in who I'm pretty sure don't even know I exist. Between my mom getting arrested and my very low income over the last few months I feel like I've barely been scraping by.

Then, about a week ago, the UI office dropped ten grand in my lap and things are finally looking up. I'm relocating to be near friends, and in a city that wasn't hit so hard by Covid. I'm probably gonna put down a year's lease on an apartment up front, find a steady job,  and just enjoy a less stressful life for a while knowing that everything is taken care of.

So if we use your brain's logic, does that therefore make all ass men scat men?
borderline
if your ass gives someone shit dick, you don't clean yourself right

your take here is incredibly wrong
it's not about shit dick, and it's not about me being right—i'm just talking about what i personally find gross, and it honestly doesn't make a difference to me how well you clean yourself (primarily because there's no way to trust people)

of course, the fact that anal sex is basically the ultimate contraceptive means that i can't be anything but pro-anal, but like all sexual activity, it's still objectively gross if you allow yourself to look beyond the perspective of the primitive fishmonkey part of your brain
I just meant the take that doing anal makes you borderline a scat fetishist

the two are completely unrelated and I would be weirded out if I accidentally gave someone shit dick and they didn't think it was gross

I've always wondered something about trans folk. Because our bodies naturally produce their respective hormones, does that therefore mean anybody who is trans has to keep taking suppliments to counteract the balance of naturally produced hormones versus delivered? Or is there some sort of balancing point where your body is just altered enough that it switches to producing the opposite kind in greater quantity naturally?
Essentially, you have to shut down your body's natural production of sex hormones using one drug, and introduce the desired hormones back into the body using another.

It's a lifelong treatment.

Kinda what I figured. That sounds semi-awful to have to rely on the medical system to provide the neccessary means, especially if you're american. I bet it costs a bit doesn't it?
Yeah, it can be very expensive, but if you have good insurance, or if you shop for a pharmacy that carries your meds at a low price, it can be manageable.
