The Flood / Re: post the ban that pissed u off the most on b.net

I got banned for this.

Apparently satire was against the rules.

No. The only other thing I've been toying around with is a few exclusive nameplates I could sell for a couple bucks each. The forum software we're using has paid subscriptions built in, so it would be pretty easy to do.

But first I have to work on the nameplate system.

You better not fucking jinx it.

You know what, I run adblock on every site but I'll make an exception for sep7agon because of all the hard work you've put into it.

EDIT: And I see no add lol.
They don't show up all the time. And there's a chance something might be screwing up. ;)

So, the Tapatalk is still out of commission. While that's broken, I found some neat forum views that might be of interest to those of you with a phone. They are extremely low end and basic, so be warned.

Edit: Tapatalk seems to be working, so I'll unpin this.

News / Don't block our ads
« on: July 30, 2014, 09:49:02 PM »
I've put up a single ad to help us raise money for future costs of operating the forum. It would be just splendid if you could disable your ad blocker for Sep7agon.net.

Thanks.

Template Parse Error!
Yeah, that's just the ads being installed. You were unlucky enough to try to navigate while I was uploading a file.

It's cool.

Control plus F5.

Press it on the cow page.
That controls the brightness or something
Are you on a mac or PC?

That's cool. I see that the ads will be in the dark space to the right of the screen?
That's right; I'm just getting everything ready.

And there is no liking, trust system doesn't work and there are no badges for mods/admin
If there's not a quick fix for the app it might just be abandoned, since the mobile site has more options and possibilities if I can get it functioning correctly.

But if you abandon the app then I won't be able to post, the site just doesn't work well on mobile
There's just nothing we can do about the app. The only way we could get something desirable is by making our own app and that's... complicated. If it becomes too much of a problem we'll just abandon it all together.

Crap, this place has no mobile site
Not yet it doesn't, but it's halfway there already. The forum body doesn't look horrible on an iPhone, but it does need some work.
If this place continues to stay active enough I'll take into consideration starting development of an app but it would only be for Android unless someone here wants to go through all of Apple's bullshit App Store verification. It's a giant pain in the ass to get an app on the App Store.
There's a mobile theme that should be compatible with this forum. I'll look into purchasing it once I get the ads up and making money.

Ads and another forum.

Some other smaller stuff that you may not notice.

Those are leftover from one of my old forums. Better stuff will come eventually.

Anyway, did refreshing the page fix the issue?

Are you guys seriously going to keep on doing this, what if the site is taken down again, are you still going to keep running, will this solve anything, thats what cry babies do, just go home and stop running away, this isn't going to help, I'm very sad that this flood has become a dark shell of its former self, i guess i'll stay but i know I'm going to regret this, i know this site is going to get taken down again, i can already feel it.
How? I am putting up a sidebar ad for topic view and another for index/board view. We are hugely popular and I will get money to help support the site should it grow too large for our current host.

You can't report us to anyone and get us taken down except our host and the police, but we're not doing anything wrong or illegal here and nothing would come of it.

If we do shut down, we move hosts. I copy paste the forum design and upload the database. That might take 2-3 days.

What's your next move?

Hi.
Spoiler
Whats with the gifs getting big?
To keep things nice and neat, I tried giving images and youtube vids a width of 100%. Too large for images?
A bit, I figured if I used smaller gifs, it would be less clutter, apparently not.
Fixed. Also, putting a width=[number] inside the IMG tag will let you scale it automatically in pixels.
Code: [Select]
[img width=50]http://urltoimage.com/image.png[/img]

The Flood / Re: I'm seriously fed up with #Offtopic /rant

It seems like all of them have no understanding of compassion, logic or common sense.

It has probably been like this all the time and I'm only noticing now because I'm taking part in political threads more often but it's annoying me and giving me a headache. They bother themselves with things that effect in no way, shape, or form for example homosexuality. If someone is gay how hard is it to accept that and leave it?? It doesn't me nor does it effect you. Also regarding the whole Palestine and Israel situation but lets not get into that.

Ehh don't even want to go on but yeah. Retards gon' retard. Going to try and keep away from #Offtopic as much as possible to be honest.
Another (slightly different) thing I've noticed about them and the rest of the forums there in general is their blind loyalty to the Bungie forums.

Some of them are straight-up offended anyone would dare go to a different forum. I think someone even told me that I should basically weather the storm and keep posting there, even though it's not fun to do so, the forum is laggy, and the brightness is way too harsh.

It kind of reminded me of how people acted with Halo 3 and the Recon armor. Maybe it has to do with that "Mentor" rank or something?

At least until the next horrible thing happens. Whatever that may be...
Why does this place keep getting shut down?
Because it's the alpha and shit happens.

This particular scenario shouldn't happen again, though.

Even with the problems this place runs better than bnet.
And you are not forced to burn your retinas.

it's not that bad.  some one came out with a dark theme.
It's got more bugs than this one, though. Replies take a couple seconds to open and sometimes they duplicate themselves.

And the forum bar/image at the top is a nightmare when you scroll the page.

The Flood / Re: So it turns out Rose was my impersonator
« on: July 30, 2014, 02:34:56 PM »
Did you have alts on b.net in order to avoid bans? I find it to be much more difficult to impersonate a user if they do not have a bunch of alts. I have my main that is four years old, and my alt that is almost seven. My older account I lost the password to a long time ago, and most people on b.net that know me are aware that I only have those two accounts. I have noticed at least two accounts try to impersonate me, but they failed pretty quick.

Sorry to hear about them still doing it to you. It is truly pathetic when other people develop an obsession for you over the internet. I am still dealing with Ktan's unhealthy obsession with me.
I think Ktans unhealthy obsession with you stems from his own inability to accept his sexuality. He hates on any lgbt member because it makes him feel like he can hide himself. It's sad really, I dunno if I should feel sorry for him or not.
Isn't this the guy who made an invisionfree forum to go up against this one?
