Septagon / Re: What I'm Working On

Will you eventually work on integrating something like Coup 4 into the site?
Possible. I'm leery about colored user bars being editable, but titles, background image/color, and forum banners will most likely be changeable.
I'm sure people could cherry pick the features they want to see, or just disable it entirely? But it's best to leave the brainstorming for the future.
Probably a coup on/off switch that changes everything for the user. But this is a ways away yet.

I think it's also region locked, isn't it? I wanted to get one of the Japanese ones off of eBay, but none of the US games would work with it.

Gaming / Re: Anyone here play Pokemon?
« on: August 04, 2014, 10:54:09 AM »
I'm working on a playthrough of W2 just to have Pokemon from Unova.

Can't wait for Alpha Sapphire
I had to buy Black 2 off of ebay just so I could transfer over all my event Pokemon (and their clones). And whoever had the game last left their profile on the cartrage, so now I have a Genesect and a few other wonder card rarities.

Lucky. I am missing so many event and other legendary Pokemon.

I need to get me a Manaphy.

I have a bunch of Manaphy or Phiones on my Heartgold cartridge, I'm just waiting to get the pokemon bank thing so I can start moving them into Gen 6, when I get to doing so you are welcome to have one :D

I bred so many of them .-.
On that note, I have many legitimate wishmkr Jirachi that I cloned from the Colosseum bonus disk if anyone wants one. They're level five and haven't been touched.

I would love one if you would like to trade <.<

Never had a Jirachi >.>
Alright. I already have a manaphy; what else do you have?

Hello, Staff. Just reporting on the changes I've noticed so far...

>Like button under the post; prior it was under the profile pic.
>Trust system tweak; '+' and '-' now.

Any other changes to list soon?
Karma and avatars work for mobile now.

Maybe we should crash the site for a few hours. We seem to get a lot of people online right after we come back from a crash.

I find it interesting that we can edit each other's posts. Checks and balances I guess.
Normal users can't. It's only staff.

Also, DemonicChronic is OG af.

Also, SoporificSlash is way cooler than me.

Erm... I know what you're imagining, but I don't think you understand how small the post body would become or how complicated it would make the forum appear.

Notifications are on the list, to be sure, but they won't be on a static section of the layout. Maybe their own page, or maybe a dropdown list. We'll see when it's time.

T4R, just curious
Lolno. I am nowhere near that stupid.

Well it looks like you're leagues ahead of Sony in the smarts department. How does it feel knowing you're more intelligent that the collective minds of a massive MNC?
Tingly.

Update to layout pushed to the site. Included are avatar size, trust rank image, and forum scaling changes. Refresh your browser if things are breaking.

This should be helpful to those of you who use the mobile site. Quote, edit, etc. links will be updated next (in a day or so).

Gaming / Re: Anyone Here Buying A Collector's Edition Of Destiny?
« on: August 04, 2014, 12:04:48 AM »
I'll be purchasing the limited edition. I've been hearing a lot of good feedback from the beta so I decided it was go-time for making a decision. That's what I proceeded to do. Plus, I really wanted the in-game stuff like the red Ghost shell, Vanguard Armory, etc.

How about you guys?
Nope. I am probably going to wait for a used copy to pop up on eBay. I always bought the Legendary/Limited editions of the Halo games, but I am not as excited for Destiny as I was for Halo 3 or Reach.

The Flood / Re: I watched Guardians Of The Galaxy, AMA

Was it better than the typical comic book movie?
I gave it a B-.
So yes?
It's above average, maybe even good, but it isn't Avengers or Winter Soldier good. You should see it.

You crazy? Winter soldier was good, but too much stereotypical Marvel action romp, illuminati in the shadows fuck yeah murrica type shit. Guardians was just badass, and I have never seen so many people laugh at a Marvel movie, it felt like Portal 2 mixed with Star Wars.
The bad guy turns out to be the Cap's best friend and the organization that had been built up over the entire Marvel creative universe was brought down spectacularly. This...against a cut/copy/paste find object, keep object away from generic bad guy (who is evil but we don't really understand completely why). It was a space epic and it had a grand scale, I get that, but the characters and story from Cap 2 were more compelling and interesting.

Guardians was good, though. I'm not disputing that.

But Cap 2 was so generic, at least Guardians went for the untrodden path, using 80s pop for theme tunes was a master stroke
I don't think I can agree with that. Neither of the films did something completely original, but Cap 2 was the one with the better bad guys, fight scenes, and storyline (IMO).

Guardians had the better soundtrack and it had a lighter mood, I'll give you that; but overall, it was not as good of a movie as Winter Soldier.

What time? I want to play Gears of War 3! Halo may be a better game for a game night due to the custom maps and gametypes and stuff, but I prefer Gears of War.
Sadly, I don't have Gears of War 3. :(

The Flood / Re: May I request a custom title?
« on: August 03, 2014, 02:42:14 PM »

I'll most likely turn on custom titles for the more high-ranking members once I fix the trust system, so there's your answer.
What about it needs fixing?
I'd like it to take more variables into account (posts-per-day, registration date, time online, etc.). It will still be mostly about trust ratings, but it will be harder to exploit the system.

Anything by Joss Whedon: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Dollhouse, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., etc.
Homeland
The Strain (It's looking pretty good so far)
How can you mention Joss Whedon without mentioning Firefly and Serenity? It was by far his best work IMO
That's what the etc. was for, duh. :P

Also, Cabin in the Woods was one of my favorite movies, though it always fools some people into thinking it's an actual horror film, even after they watch it.

Were you disappointed one of the two easter eggs cameos didn't talk?

Spoiler
Apparently Nathan Fillion was the monstrous inmate; and of course Stan the Man had his small appearance.
