So on mobile I can't see any ranks. Is it supposed to be like this?
Temporarily. Once I install the fix for mobile edit/quote links, they'll be turned back on for skinny screens.

Keep in mind that this is still in the testing stages, and I'll be adjusting the numbers as I see how quickly or slowly members move through the ratings.
The inner workings of this new system will not be publicly announced to make exploiting it more difficult. I will say this, though: hitting the "Bad" rating is quite a bit harder to do, now.

Trust prefixes have been recalculated. The current build is something closer to how it will function when it's finished. As you can see, the more annoying members have kept the Bad rating and the more valued members are rated higher.

Woah hold on, I'm only "bad" because Sentra is too damn upset at me
It's not going to be put in place with the current system. You'll be fine, I'm pretty sure.

Why?
Mostly because it's a nice, automatic shitpost deterrent that will be difficult to exploit once the Trust rating system is tweaked.

Am I the only one who was banned on b.net for no reason, It said i recieved a warning, but I got banned, it better just be temporary.
Would you really be upset if it was permanent? Really?

If it weren't an issue of numbers but one of worthiness to be a mod, would you?
I have no idea, honestly. The rest of the staff and I would need to vet you before that kind of hypothetical decision was made.

how elder are you?
I am 22 elder. If I were nominated to be a mod, would you make me one? And if not, why?
Probably not. We have enough mods as it is, right now.

I'm gonna whinge and posture my way to the top.
The users here seem pretty envious of high trust ratings. Someone actually made it to Heroic there for a minute today, but they were quickly brought back down to Ascended.

A Wild Sceptile Boa Dots Padme Amidala
Two are novelty accounts, Boa was for coup testing/configuring.
I've got a few of those too. My most 'prized' novelty account (both on Bungie and XBL) is Edward Brock Jr. I couldn't believe that gamertag (and that name on bnet) was available. I've got like...maybe 3 others, but usually I stick to Cheatlancer.

You're a maverick; you play by your own rules, don't you?

I think that's genius...and a little sad. Don't people realize that these "limited edition" games will eventually be available somewhere for a reduced price? It happened with Halo 3, Reach, and I think even with Halo 4.
Crazy.

This is some serious bullshit, guys.
If it's because it takes time to set up the forum, fine. But if it's because you guys want to try allowing political and religious discussion, then sky wizard help us all.
From the timestamp, it looks like this thread was created before the Serious board was put into place. I've updated the rules regarding placement of threads (political/religious/other serious issues in Serious, gaming in Gaming, forum help in Support, and everything else in The Flood). I'm also moving this thread to Serious, so from my post on everyone will be expected to play nice.

My parents watch Fox News religiously, so...they've brainwashed them into thinking that I've been brainwashed. Fun stuff.
My dad is into The O'Reilly Factor, and he has trouble understanding me when I talk to him about bias. I'm trying to get him to watch/read multiple news sources, instead of relying on just one. It's a struggle.

What's it like being admin?
A bit more stressful than you'd imagine. I love running the site and I do have a blast doing it, but it's not completely awesome being responsible for it all the time. What did you do 3 hours ago?
I think...I might have been playing a bit of Xbox. Before that, I was on my way home from Six Flags.

kk thx maybe one day you can make an app for it
I'm working on the mobile site right now, so one day soon you should be able to use that without any problems (it still works right now, but there are glitches).

What's wrong with buying and selling them?
To expand on what Slash said: it's more of a liability thing. I don't want to be responsible for someone conducting transactions on the site. While it's true that you could get away with it, so long as you kept it to PMs, I still don't recommend it. eBay, or even craigslist, are going to be better options for you if you want to sell stuff. Trading item for item or code for code is fine, but you're going to be doing so at your own risk. But this is kind of off topic, since the OP didn't mention buying/selling/trading of XBL trials. I just thought it needed to be said before the issue eventually came up.

Alright, I'll investigate it but I cannot promise anything. The tapatalk app is very much its own separate thing, and I am not sure it's possible to make changes to it.

This stuff is fine so long as there is no buying and selling involved. Trades are acceptable, but keep in mind that you're doing so at your own risk.

I fucking hate it when people do this. Why are you bothering? It's a thought experiment, not a plan of action.
Just accept the terms and come to a conclusion, that way you actually fill the requirements of the discussion.
He might as well be asking what would happen to water if it became cardboard. It's an impossibility because I have access to the database and can erase any record of a ban from the back end. Even if someone were able to remove my admin powers, I could go in and change them back in the database. Besides that, I make backups of the database and forum structure so things could be restored. But ignoring all that, I'd say no more than three weeks (maybe a month). It would take a while, but eventually the mods would start getting banned and word would catch on that the forum is sinking; the angry, angry Offtopic members would swarm with clusters of spam and it would soon be abandoned.
