The Flood / Re: How many of you?« on: August 16, 2014, 12:11:42 AM »I hope you aren't like the asshole kids that go roaring down main street with their windows down blasting their farmer equivalent of ghetto music through their open windows. Not blasting, no; and it's usually Billy Joel or something off of the Oldies station. I do enjoy having the windows down at night, though, so...maybe I'm kind of like those assholes a bit. 5703

The town about 8 miles from where I live has a lot of gas stations, stores, and restaurants that stay open late at night, but there's hardly ever anyone out and about after 11. I like to drive around town at night listening to some good music, just cruising around without a destination.

Septagon / Re: Sep7agon Notifiactions?« on: August 15, 2014, 11:43:14 PM »Anyone else think that working notifications are a higher priority than debugging embedded youtube videos on mobile?Quit yer bitchin; they'll get done eventually, but the "fix" is a lot more involved than the other stuff so it might take some time. Crouton said he wanted to help out in his free time and I suggested that he try to tackle Notifications. We'll see how it goes if he ever gets back to me. 5705

The Flood / Re: Should flamewars be allowed?« on: August 15, 2014, 08:40:42 PM »Yeah allow em the rules here are strict af, lightweight blandThis guy who just registered and posted when Comms was looking for more people to agree with his idea is not suspicious at all. At all. 5711
The Flood / Re: Should flamewars be allowed?« on: August 15, 2014, 08:33:00 PM »We could have non-controversial topics going into The Flood, and very controversial/bait topics going into the Anarchy board? The Flood, in this situation, would basically merge with Serious since the nonsense posts would be filtered into the Anarchy board. The Flood would have to require a bit more of the whole "Play Nice" mentality, since otherwise we'd have, essentially, two identical boards. 5712
The Flood / Re: Should flamewars be allowed?« on: August 15, 2014, 08:19:07 PM »Then just delete posts which spill Anarchy board stuff into other forums?Hypothetically, if this were to happen, the Serious forum would probably have to be absorbed back into The Flood, since otherwise we'd be splitting the content that would usually just go into The Flood into three forums. Art would also go (though it probably will anyway, since it is barren). 5713
The Flood / Re: Should flamewars be allowed?« on: August 15, 2014, 07:47:31 PM »The rules, yes. I agree with you there. It seems like the problem is that we don't have enough members here, and not that we need to allow flame wars. So...do something about it, Comms. I surf B.lind and PM people about this place when I see them complaining about Bungie's site, but it's really up to you guys how well this place does. 5714
The Flood / Re: Should flamewars be allowed?« on: August 15, 2014, 07:43:03 PM »Since when did more relaxed rules turn into complete disarray?Dude...are you even for serious? The rules here are way more relaxed than on Bungie. 5715

It might be morbid curiosity, but I really want to set up that anarchy forum someone suggested for like...a weekend or something just to see what would happen.

I received a lovely PM from some random (I assume they're from B.lind) in regard to the host change this Monday.
Quote What is this, the third time? That's hilariously pathetic. The fact that you have to change hosts three times in a month, have 60 active members at most, and less than 200 members shows how much of a failure this offsite is. What a waste of time. At least the losers stay here so bnet doesn't have to deal with them. LolFriendly person, really. 5719

Septagon / Re: Official Sep7agon Ranks« on: August 15, 2014, 02:03:29 AM »Just saying, if you make the highest base title easy to get just by getting 500 posts then eventually everyone will have it. If you add other factors to getting higher titles then it feels more rewarding when you actually rank up. Compared to just posting and ranking up.Posting Riot isn't the highest post rank, and there are still two different systems (Trust/other and post-based). I know what you're saying, though. The ranks might need to be spaced further apart. 5725
Septagon / Re: Official Sep7agon Ranks« on: August 15, 2014, 01:52:31 AM »http://halo.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=15804986No, all the ones you listed fell into one of the two available rankings (I think). I don't remember if a user could hold more than one of the titles you listed at once, but I know that they worked independently of the Heroic, Legendary, and Mythic rankings. Regardless, the system on this site is much the same (two independent ranking systems working together). 5726
Septagon / Re: Official Sep7agon Ranks« on: August 15, 2014, 01:44:58 AM »Is that not how it worked on Bnet? Base Titles were assigned based on your trust level and time spent on the site, Prefixes were based on your trust level and post count. On Bnet, all users (save mods and admins) were "Members." So there were no pure post-based ranks. They also had two prefixes (Honerable Heroic Member, Intrepid Mythic Member, etc.). I find the "Member" part of that system a bit redundant, and it also makes the rank needlessly long. 5727
Septagon / Re: Official Sep7agon Ranks« on: August 15, 2014, 01:40:40 AM »In my opinion we should switch Base Titles and Prefixes around, it'll make it harder to go get Base Titles. We also need to replace the Base Titles. Newbie and Member are fine, but something like Respected Posting Frenzy just doesn't sound right.I'm not overly attached to the post ranks, so suggestions are welcome. Perhaps the Halo 3 ranks? Or something like 343 does (Marine, ODST, Spartan, etc.)? And the whole prefix-rank flip-flop isn't going to happen. That was something from the old Bnet that I think worked very well. 5728
