Its going to be biblical.
It needs to make me more uncomfortable than the first one to be worth the read, and I'm pretty sure there were some sort of tentacles involved in that one, so...

No pressure.

News / Meet The New Monitors
« on: August 22, 2014, 12:59:29 AM »
Congrats to TBlocks, I_IRONMAN_I, and Mr Psychologist on being the first wave of Forum Monitors! These three will be helping the moderation team approve new members' first posts and keeping the forum clean and organized by moving and merging threads.

For those of you not in the know, Monitors are a sort of ninja-member hybrid. They can't delete or lock threads and they can't issue bans.

I know. I added another vote; 3 seems more fair than 2.

News / Choose your Nameplates

Alright, here you go. This is the list of nameplates that are up for vote. You choose three and the top 7-10 will be permanently added to the list. Nameplates that are exclusive or that are unlocked via some method (or those like BUNGiE) are not here, and will stay regardless of the vote.

Actually I was talking about this

But...meh. Alright.
Oh, right. Yeah. You need to make your own thread.

Septagon / Re: Want the Fiesta Nameplate?
« on: August 21, 2014, 05:09:41 PM »
Is the rule to create your own thread, or...?
I'll run through the nameplate threads you've created. Any plate that was posted in your, my, or the other (if there was another) will be put in the poll.

Septagon / Re: Want the Fiesta Nameplate?
« on: August 21, 2014, 05:07:43 PM »
Does that mean you're not giving out the Fiesta nameplate right now?
I am. Only the free-to-everyone nameplates are getting voted on.

Septagon / Re: Want the Fiesta Nameplate?
« on: August 21, 2014, 05:01:01 PM »
I'm talking about those Vore/anime expert/swag ones and so on. The ones that have been added recently. I don't know who made them.
I'll be setting up a poll to vote on new nameplates in a few hours (I said Friday, but whatever; the poll will run for 24 hours). The 7 to 10 that win will become permanent additions to the nameplate list, available to everybody.

More nameplates like Fiesta and Red On You will be introduced as well later on.

I have no desire to ever have kids, but if I did, then I'd teach all religions as mythology.

Clans? Well this will end well, I'll try none the less.
Might as well. We're technically an official Destiny clan, according to our private group.

Septagon / Want the Fiesta Nameplate?
« on: August 21, 2014, 02:55:28 PM »
I'm retracting my previous conditions for acquiring the birthday-like nameplate and offering a much easier task to complete. Bungie.blind has this nifty "Clans" forum that is like a less-entertaining version of The Classifieds back on the old Bnet. You can find it here if you're lazy.

To unlock the nameplate, all you have to do is post a short advertisement on that forum that includes a link to this site as well as your username that you have on here. You can say a few words if you'd like, but all that really needs to be conveyed is that we're an offsite.

An advertisement might look something like this:

Offsite Community
http://sep7agon.net

Check out our offsite!

Thanks,
Cheat.

Then, when you go to request the nameplate in your profile, enter in the URL to the thread on Bnet. That's all there is to it.

I was thinking "Posting Rampage".
That's much better. :o

Wait.. Wasn't "Killtacular" awarded for loads of kills in a short amount of time, and not in the same series as "spree", "frenzy", etc?
Postpage or threadpage sounds dumb, though..

The Flood / Re: I have a wall of text for Rose.
« on: August 20, 2014, 11:52:12 PM »
I wonder if cheat would be willing to give you the IP.
It's probably pointless. These Rose alts (if that's even what they are) all use different IP addresses. It's pretty much a given he's using a proxy of some sort or is changing his IP.

What account was this message coming from again?

5574
That's pretty shitty if it's true, not that I'd ever pay money to play a game about depression (or even if it was free).

5575
I'm surprised Sapphire still manages to exist.
Has their offsite failed yet or is that old news now?
I didn't know they had an offsite... :o

The Flood / Re: Heroic Users Hangout
« on: August 20, 2014, 03:30:57 PM »
Why does everyone suddenly have custom nameplates?
The staff are (I think) the only ones with custom plates. The rest should be in the nameplates section of your profile.

Septagon / Re: What are monitors?
« on: August 20, 2014, 03:00:05 PM »
Had to ask the inevitable question.

Where should I put that rank in the Sep7agon Rank Thread?
I'll type something up. For now, they play the same roll as Mentor on B.lind (although there aren't any right now).

Gaming / Re: Halo 2 Anniversary Delta Halo Gameplay + 20 New Screenshots
« on: August 20, 2014, 02:28:18 PM »
I don't get how people can spend so much money on games to be honest. I even used to spend over $1,000 dollars on games per year (granted this was ages ago), and I don't even understand... >.>

Good thing I don't buy games anymore. Unless they're for free.
Both my brother and myself got Xbox Ones used off of Craigslist for pretty cheap ($350 w/ 3 games and Turtle Beach headphones). Ebay is also a good choice if you want to get one of the Ones without shelling out $400 or $500 for one new.

The Flood / Re: Fingertip Knives vs Wrist Blades
« on: August 20, 2014, 01:22:32 PM »
With wrist blades, you get more application of force. You can slash and puncture. But finger blades would only work well for slashing. And here's the other thing.

Imagine if you went to hit something with your finger blades, like armour, and they didn't puncture, and instead, you snapped you fingers? The wrist is a hell of a lot more of a secure location for them because as I said, you get more force put into your blows, where spindly finger blades don't, meaning they can be blocked easier and their source can be broken or twisted, much, much easier.
If we were talking adamantium skeletons as well as the wrist/finger blades, I would go for the finger blade option. But without that, you're right, it would be a bitch to try to cut through something dense.

I just skimmed their group and they do seem to put off a sort of...arrogance, I guess.
