I've just set up a warning system for the Ninjas to use instead of outright banning misbehaving members. It's got varying flavors of "Fuck off" including verbal warning, post moderation, and post mute. These states decay over time and cannot be set permanently, so breathe a bit easier.
If you happen to get warned, you may or may not receive an automated PM with the reasons for your warning/restriction. I don't have it set up to have Disembodied Soul sending the PM, but I am working on that and hope to have it functioning in the near future.

Go up to "Profile" on the nav menu. Select "Updated Topics".
Notifications are pulled from that list, so that is your notification page. Unfortunately, SMF has no reliable way of determining whether or not someone quoted you, so that feature cannot be added. If you have too many notifications popping up, go into Updated Topics and mark all as read. That'll clear them out.
Couldn't you just have it send us a little message every time our name is mentioned? I understand some people may get false notifications (yours would come up if we're talking about Gasai playing card games, for instance), but you could have an option to just turn if off if people get annoyed.
That's a huge reason why I don't code something like that. The system we have now works, but I'll keep my eye out for something better; for now it'll have to stay.

OK, there seems to be a miscommunication going on. I am not talking about shit posting. I couldn't care less about that. I am talking about when one or two users decide to fill the front page with bullshit posts that don't even attempt to discuss something. They are trying to take over and block everyone else. The other night two users posted over and over again, creating thread after thread of rubbish.When you logged on, all you saw were their posts. That is what I am talking about here. That and Necrobumping are what made b.net retarded.
If you want to post Foman is a nigger, or the My Last Sheckel was stolen by a Goy or whatever, fine. But don't post it over and over again.
Usually we lock threads like that when someone repeatedly spams nonsense.

Well, would you look at that: there are no avatars showing up in the gallery. Try uploading one of your own or linking to one.
As for crashes...unless the site is giving you an error message, then it's most likely your browser and/or device. I was updating the Subs file about an hour ago, so that might have tripped some warnings for a few seconds. If you're still crashing, let me see a screenshot of the error or your screen as it happens.

Err...treat it like learning a language, I suppose, because that's what it kind of is. CSS has a steeper learning curve, but you should definitely learn that as well.

That's already the way it is...or will be, at least. There's not been enough articles by the same person for them to qualify, but yeah...that's the plan.
