Someone just got 360 no-scoped!

But no, I don't have any trials for the OP. If you have a phone I can show you a pretty damn simple way to get them, though.

...yeah, people like you really shouldn't be taken seriously.
So that's your counter-argument? Saying that anything he says shouldn't be taken seriously? Just wow.
No, I'm just sick of arguing this. It takes way too much energy out of me and it'll all be for people who are going to ignore my points anyway because they don't care regardless. When you're dealing with unreasonable idiots, it's just not worth the effort.

« on: September 30, 2014, 05:21:35 PM »
For some reason I'm completely locked out of my account. No idea why, I have all the info. And I don't get the reset password. What do?
I'll reset your password for you and PM it to this account; make sure to change it to something else.

I find it somewhat appropriate that Silent Bob is member #420.

He's number 464, actually. We had some members deleting their oiwn accounts before I removed that permission.
Naw it was his joining this board that bumped that number to 420.
I suppose in spirit he is number 420, then.

And only about 50 members are ever online.
That's an awesome amount of people online at a time for a non-commercial forum, mate. The problem is that most of them are lurking about and don't post much.

We had more activity with less members in the first few weeks of this place because people posted instead of lurked.

I feel like this is being addressed but why when you quote someone the pic is not carried over to your reply?

Just wondering.
To make the quoted post less of a skyscraper. Encapsulate a pic in spoiler tags to preserve it in a quote.

I can't wrap my head around arresting someone for viewing child pornography. I absolutely understand and agree that the material should stay illegal, but I liken the situation to modded game types and maps on Halo 3. They should arrest the ones who produce it and spread it around, but arresting someone for viewing it seems like a bit too much.

How do you mean?
Sep7agon has been loading really slow and has gone down a few times.
What sorts of error messages have you been getting?
I haven't gotten any, just safari said the server timed out. I checked downforeverorjustme and it said the site was down. Someone else also reported problems in the group chat on Bnet.
I'm not seeing any slowdowns right now. If it happens again, let me know, but it was likely just a hiccup on our server's end.

I'm going to do it in one week, but I want to hear opinions first.
Buy it used, not new from a retail store. Don't give Bungie and Activision any more money.

I got mine for $45 off of eBay; you can probably find one cheaper now.

The Flood / Re: "You have received a warning"
« on: September 30, 2014, 02:09:59 AM »
God, I hope it's not a major issue. It hasn't been so far.

But when a thread with one topic title ends up somewhere completely different (especially when the new subject is pretty much shit slinging) something needs to be done. Either by splitting the topic, locking it, and/or issuing a warning.
You issued the warnings because it was an argument than went on too long, right?

I really don't want to spend my entire day on here warning people for posting something not pertaining the the specific topic, because that literally happens often enough for it to be possible.
It was a topic that started out by asking for Verbatim to be unbanned and then turned into an argument over gender. I warned Sentra and tried to steer the topic back on course, but the fighting continued so the thread was locked and more warnings were given out.

EDIT: And yeah, it's lock time.

This thread has no idea if it wants to be locked or not.
Demonic, is it alright if we lock this now? Or we can keep it open, too. I'm cool either way. 8)

The Flood / Re: "You have received a warning"

Please don't tell me that derailing threads is going to become a major issue. That's a hundred metric fucktons of moderating to be done. When drama gets out of hand then I get that shit needs to be taken care of before it hits the fan, but you realize just how often people post off topic in an off topic forum, right?

Yeah, this is another reason you guys were warned. Derailing threads on top of hostility isn't productive at all. I'll just go ahead and lock this now, before the fighting escalates.

The least you could do is wait for Anarchy to sling shit at each other, jeeze.

The Flood / Re: "You have received a warning"

I PMed Cheat about this, but you had to make an entire thread about some perceived slight? Really telling of your maturity level versus mine.

And if you go through the thread, you'll see that it was actually Nuka who derailed it, so...
How does this have anything to do with maturity? If this is something users will now start receiving warnings or bans for, then everyone should know about it. Most of the users here derail threads with their replies, it should not even matter on The Flood anyway.
Derailing a thread is against the rules; it's listed pretty plainly in the rules thread. We've not had this warning system previously, but the moderation team has certainly given verbal warnings to members before this. The system simply makes them more automated and at the same time allows us to keep track of them.

You weren't the only one to get a warning, Noelle. It's not even one that restricts your posting, so I don't see the issue you have with it.

Serious / Re: How many genders do you recognize?
« on: September 30, 2014, 01:38:53 AM »
ugh. okay.
I don't want to do this but I didn't get to post my response in the other thread.

Noelle is a girl.
Say what you want, but this is objectively incorrect.
Never mind the fact that you're wrong, you have no proof anyway.
I don't feel like getting banned for "derailing" (translation: disagreeing with the TG "movement"), but I have plenty of proof. The most obvious being that Noel admits to being born a male. And whatever gender you're born as is what you always will be.
Sorry bud, but sex and gender are still different things.
Regardless. As I've proven before, there are people who are physically born outside the binary. Also, people who have had their legal documents changed are legally that gender no matter how much it rustles your jimmies.

"Disagreeing" with something is not an excuse to purposely dismiss someone's identity. You can not "agree" with homosexual relationships because you think they're "objectively wrong", but you still acknowledge their existence as a homosexual couple.
Not talking about birth defects here. And it doesn't "rustle my jimmies" (God, I hate myself just for typing out that phrase) at all. Just because the law recognizes something doesn't make it right.

If someone insisted on being identified as a teddy bear, would you treat them as such and enable that lifestyle? No, you would get them psychiatric help. Same thing with transgenderism. You're identifying as something you factually are not. And you can keep cramming this "sex and gender aren't synonyms" bullshit down my throat as much as you'd like, but that doesn't make it true. When your employer asks for your gender on a job application, he's not asking what kind of special snowflake you are. He's asking whether you have a penis or a vagina.
Say there's someone who looks very much like a man, but they were born female and have a vagina. Say they took hormones, so they have a deeper voice and body hair.

Which restroom should this person use? Mens or Womens?
Women's, because she's objectively a woman.
And when the other restroom users shriek and shout about a man in the womens restroom? Why go through that exercise when the "hypothetical person" could just go in the mens room, take a piss/shit, and get out without drama?

#unbanVerby2014
..........your kidding right?
God you're stupid. Obviously he is.  I may not like Noel that much but we can both agree that Verbatard is a colossal tool.
You know, I'm getting really fucking annoyed at people who purposely misgender Noelle.
I don't care if you don't like her. That doesn't justify it.

>expects nuka to stick up for him since sentra called him stupid
>sticks up for Noelle
>I sad
I try to ignore most conflicts that don't involve me, but the constant misgendering really steams me since it doesn't just come from Sentra.
His posts have been moderated for a bit, so you can consider the fight over for now.

Spoiler
Get in my thread now.
And then permabanned by Slash for threatening him.
Saying "Slash is on my kill list" is a threat? N1gga plz, Verby can't do shit, and do you really think he means that? His normal state is being spiteful, that's just how he normally is.
That's it? One off putting and metaphoric line in a place that isn't even here warrants a permanent ban for death threats?
I'm going back to bed...
I don't really know; like someone else said, you'd have to ask Slash exactly what Verbatim said to him.

I use this site and the MLP Zetaboards, and have gone back on b.net a few times since Destiny's release.

My little Pony?
Yep. We had a pretty large group on b.net in 2011, and everyone eventually moved to an offsite forum, especially after the 2013 "update" that killed private groups. None of us watch the show anymore though.
Is that run on Proboards software as well?

Focnr and I may be getting a divorce (or at least a trial separation). I'm sure you've noticed his inactivity; he's not sure if he can manage a whole forum right now, so the responsibility will likely shift onto me entirely.
