The other ones, sure, but frack has been such a common word with a rather diverse array of meanings attached to it that censoring that word seems over the top.You don't have to convince me, but I need to think about supporting the site, and losing our ads isn't the way to go. 4654
The Flood / Re: What words are censored now?« on: October 01, 2014, 01:10:58 AM »Let's see...The others are either not bad enough to consider censoring or are used in other words or as other words. 4655

The Flood / Re: What words are censored now?« on: October 01, 2014, 12:32:19 AM »HAHAHAHAHAHA Awesome the N word gets turned into "nagger". I think you should censor those other words, Cheat.I will. EDIT: If you guys want to test the censor, please edit it out of your post afterward if it goes through. No need to test almighty Google. 4657
News / Re: Adsense Gave Us A Warning« on: October 01, 2014, 12:29:12 AM »Dammit... We seriously have the censorship we had on b.net now? That is ridiculous.Yeah, I know. It sucks. But everyone needs to play ball at least for a while until I can get this advertisement thing sorted out. We can run the site for several months with what we've made, but it needs to be able to collect money or it'll sink. 4658

Some are higher (300) and some are lower (80).How long does it usually take to download all the apps and build up enough money? It works on my first-gen iPad mini and that is pretty damn slow.I'll make a post about it on The Flood, but if you get on your iPhone or Android (it might cover other phones as well, but I only know of these) and go to http://freemyapps.comSomeone just got 360 no-scoped! If I'm in a waiting room or something, I'll pull out my phone and do one or two of them. You can download multiple apps at the same time. 4659

From then on, a button will appear under each PM from the group called "Reply to All".SO MUCH THISPerhaps we could get some kind of multi user pm chat set up? He's not banning or censoring foul language, only racial slurs.Ugh if people will shut the fuck up I suppose I will. 4661

I'll look at the categories later.I've applied for this new ad service, and in the mean time I am also going to put up a listing on craigslist to see if I can get a business or blog or something to rent the space directly.I hope you posted the ad in "casual encounters" 4664
The Flood / Re: Adsense is Nonsense« on: September 30, 2014, 08:48:37 PM »Is all this banned permanently or just until we get a new ad service?Nudity/porn is gone for good. "R-rated" imagery will eventually be allowed back, as long as it's in a spoiler. Basically, go by the public news program rules: warn young viewers to turn away from the graphic images. 4665

I'll be filtering some words, yes. The majority of your favorite curse words will remain unfiltered.

If you haven't already read, check out this thread.
Adsense gave us 3 days to clean up our act or else we stop getting ads. I say...I'm not going to play their game. We're going to try out a new ad provider, which I've already applied for, and this means a few things for you guys here in The Flood. 1. Porn is banned. Even in spoilers. I'd consider all NSFW content gone too, at least for the transitional period. 2. Excessively crude language is gone, especially slurs. Cursing is still OK, but please take care how you post, because we need some kind of ad service to support these forums. Everything else that's required, we already have banned. So what I need you all to do is report any NSFW content that you run into over the next few days. You won't be banned for it, but it does need to go away. Spoiler Anarchy is still untouched; we just won't have any ads there and there might be some kind of mod approval process to get in next time. 4667

News / Re: Adsense Gave Us A Warning« on: September 30, 2014, 08:28:23 PM »Wow, what a bunch of pricks. Bet they're some libtard group hell-bent of censoring the internet. Why the flib-flab does our cursing and pictures bother them so dingly-gosh-do much?Something about spitting or swallowing. I'm trying to clean out the really bad threads so we don't get ad nuked. 4669
News / Re: Adsense Gave Us A Warning« on: September 30, 2014, 08:00:58 PM »It works a bit differently than Adsense (which also bans bad language). Advertisers bid on us for a slot to put their ad up. Since we're pretty popular in terms of page views, I'd say we should do alright so long as we are accepted and abide by their rules. That's really silly.Does this mean no more cursing? That is part of my vocabulary though :/It says "excessive vulgar language" is restricted, so as long as it's not too bad and you're not just throwing them around like a maniac, it should be OK. 4670

Adult content and adult content links will have to go outside of Anarchy (which will not have ads), so no more spoilered porn. They're not specific on the language requirements, but they don't like excessively crude or racist language, so that'll probably be something I start looking at. 4675

I just got the email today that basically said to remove all ads from pages containing any of the following:
So we're in some deep shit, since I'm not a fan of restricting your language (the nudity will have to go, though, for those of you posting in the thread in The Flood). We have 3 days to resolve the issue or they'll stop serving us ads and leave us up a creek. I suppose I'll start looking for some alternatives while thinking about how to get out of this jam. EDIT: Guys, I need everyone to start reporting posts that contain nudity and porn. You won't be banned for the content that is reported, but the images and links need to be taken out. EDIT: I've disabled thread replies from being viewed by guests. This should help us keep our advertisements; just make sure to make the OP relatively clean, guys. 4679
