I'm probably more histrionic than antisocial, but they don't necessarily contradict each other. Antisocial just means you have a harder time emphasizing with people, and histrionic means that you crave attention. They're not incompatible.

I don't really socialize, either, but it's less of an anxiety issue and more that I just don't have any desire to go out and make friends. I don't know if I would call it self absorbed, though...

If we ever get some content creation that takes off (YouTube vids, more recent game reviews, etc.) we could stay strong for a good long while.
Also, as long as Bungie.net sucks we should be reasonably fine.
Hmm...I don't like the idea that we ride off of Bungie. I think we should stick with them for a bit, absorb the better members and just become an independent gaming site.
Well yeah...that'd be great. The problem is actually doing it. I can manage the site and troubleshoot the forum errors like a boss, and I'd like to think I'm a decent community manager, but we're going to need some extra hands if we want this place to keep getting awesome. The YouTube thing for one. I hate making videos. I'm more the photoshop/illustrator type. We should start putting together some kind of video something to draw interest to the site. Our reviews that we have are awesome and I can see that growing. I can't really think of anything else we need to branch out to, but I'm sure there are other places and things to do to bring in traffic.

Nope. None of the people I have muted seem to be hidden. Like OP for example.
Are you adding them to the ignore list and not the buddy list (they should be in the ignore list)? Are you using tapatalk?

Ah, ok, I found the issue. Look and layout >> check the box for hiding users on the ignore list.

I'm honestly surprised by some of the names up there.
This is why the community should not decide who is a mod. It is a popularity contest like last time. Cheat should not take the community's opinion into account and should just choose the people who should actually be mods.
Pretty hypocritical, considering that a literal popularity contest is what made Kiyo a mod in the first place.

No, she wasn't. The original two were Demonic and Slash. After we had a boatload of traffic and a few incidents while everyone was asleep, I decided to promote her since she was popular in the poll, had experience setting up a short-lived version of the offsite, and lived in a timezone we needed covered.

I was afraid that you would just give mod powers to the winners but I just read the OP. I'd say don't even take this poll into account because you need to objectively pick who is the best for the job. Even if they aren't really liked by the users if they moderate the forums as a moderator should then pick them .
No, I'd say I do need to take public opinion into account (to a degree). And the other non-mods were added as they were nominated in the thread I made in The Flood. This is all just a data-gathering experiment.

I'm not saying for mods to mute normal users. I'm just saying that people should mute ninjas but still allow warnings and PM's to get through. DeeJ was an incompetent dipshit who only cared about the hundreds of Desticles sucking him off in #Destiny and couldn't be bothered about all the complaints from the other forums. Besides Cheat clearly isn't like DeeJ.
If that happens, then any verbal warnings wouldn't be acknowledged by the user who muted the mod. And then when the mod sends the user a formal warning a-la the warning PM system, I'd think the user would be mighty pissed off. Mods need to be able to communicate without being hindered, else it slows moderation.

So yeah, it's allowed in Anarchy.
You might want to make sure of that before allowing it. I was assuming that the servers were US based, but if you're not completely sure yourself I'd be a bit more hesitant on it.
Just did some additional research on it as well. In the US it's still possible to be prosecuted if said lolis are found to be engaged in acts that would be deemed obscene by a jury. You just wouldn't be charged for soliciting child porn and instead be charged with obscenity though.
Basically don't post loli's getting gang banged to stay on the safe side if the servers are actually located in the US.
Yeah, I just looked up a few more sources and it's a grey area. I'm going to go ahead and ban outright it from Anarchy for the rest of this round, to be safe. We will check it out in greater detail before next month.
