This slap in the face has nothing to do with content. They think we have been clicking ads to generate money for the site maliciously.
It's bullshit, but we can't do anything about it. I can tell you that if this sticks, I am out over $200.
Could it be because of all of those ad people that generate a lot of guests? Maybe the numerous spikes of guests and ad revenue triggered something.
I took those ads away like half a week ago. It's possible that was what made them look into it, but you should look up "invalid activity adsense" and watch some of the videos you find.
This happens all the time; sometimes huge, $10,000 per month sites get axed after a year or more of clean, fine activity.
Are the guests that are online right now more investors or something?
Yeah. Since we are back to Adversal and the ad is now above the fold (which brings in the big bucks, so to speak) we are getting potential ad slot bidders.
I don't know about the desktop version, but for mobile (ipad) the ads are fine. They don't play any sound and aren't sketchy.
The ads were set to allow video and that (I think) was causing issues. It should be fixed now. Since we are no longer bound by adsense, I have enabled ads from adult/dating sites on the forum, so that should help us get some more interested parties.

Yeah, fuck all this. I'm enabling adult ads from this new ad server (we should... should be able to make about 70% of what we did through adsense) and we will loosen the ropes on all you freaks. Not just yet, though; I need to wait and see if Google permabans me or not. I also need to talk with Isara and think about what we're going to do long term, and what we want our images as a site and a community to be.
