The hate going back and forth between Sep7agon and B.net is fucking pathetic.
I smile every time I see a hate thread on B.net about this place. Reading the comments that follow is always a hoot.

I saw that. I'm glad it happened but I'm kind of bummed out they took the navigation away from the top.

I used to think so, but then I read about the gameshow question with 3 doors (like off of 21) and realized you can actually use data from random outcomes to predict future outcomes...

Remade, largely do to the fact the games run at a different resolution and framerate.
I can not wait for close the base on High Ground to make its glorious return...
I'm not so sure. When I was big into modding Halo 3 (and it's been a while so I might not remember all that clearly) the files were extremely small for custom maps (a container) and were composed of simple on/off switches and coordinates for each object placed, since it was using the .map file for the template to place the items (which were loaded from the .map, not the container). If we go on the assumption that nothing was changed on the .map files, and they are only being loaded by the new menu, then yes, it's completely possible your old custom maps would be transferable. EDIT: Custom games would be even more likely to work, given they don't rely on a .map file to read off of.

So...do you think the ads still worth all this trouble?
Yes. If we can get this resolved, it's a great way to pay for the costs of running the site. I am not giving up on this service just yet.

Looks like the same one...hmm...thanks for reporting it.
Are you allowing third party cookies on your browser? Even if you aren't, I recommend clearing your cache, temporary internet files, and all cookies you have stored.
Is this the usual browser you use to visit Sep7agon? If so, would you mind switching to a different browser for a day and let me know if you are still redirected?

Couldn't we just do Reach on Saturday and MCC on Sunday the 23rd?
Yeah, we could possibly do that if most people want to. What say you, people? Reach on one night and MCC on another? Or two lobbies?

We should do it earlier in the day to accommodate the Britbongs and Eurofags.
As for the game I'm down for either. Maybe the MCC will have some custom maps "ported" from the 360 version.
I suppose I can just move the start time back two hours... Would 5:00 CST be better for those of you in Britain land?

I keep getting Avast notifications saying something about rocketfuel.xpr or some shit. Not sure.
A screencap would be mega helpful, especially if your antivirus is giving you a heads up. For those of you getting this redirect, make sure you don't allow third party cookies (cookies not assigned by the domain you're visiting) and clear your cache and temporary history. This thing is only affecting specific individuals, and it seems to hit them again and again, which leads me to believe there's an exploit of some kind going on with malicious cookies. The ad server is aware of this and I will continue to badger them with complaints until they fix their shit, so just hold on.

Got a redirect as soon as I opened up the kim kardashin meme thread. Here's a cap from my history cause there was no way I was going to sit there and let it download shit onto my computer.
Same thing happened to me, same pop-up.
I need both of you to clear your cookies and temporary internet files. Check any browser extensions as well for adware.
This thing keeps attacking the same bunch of people, and there's likely something fishy going on with a cookie. I'd also like to know if this problem transfers across to a different browser on the same computer.
How do you get rid of cookies? Just delete internet history?
That, and (if you're using Chrome) go to settings >> privacy >> content settings. First of all, I'd consider blocking third party cookies. Click "all cookies and site data..." and clear all of them. You'll likely see some strange websites listed there if you haven't done this for a while and allowed third party cookies to track you.

For those of you not using popup blocker, let me know if you experience any more redirects. I've upped the bid floor for the space, so that should cut out most of the shitty ads.
If you get anything annoying like an audio ad or something malicious, report it here or in Septagon (and please try to get a screenshot if you do).
I used to get a ton of re-directs. I also think I got viruses from this site. Anyone heard of 'zombie invasion'?
Any currently?
I honestly had no idea the problem was so widespread until several members reported it, as I've not had a single redirect on here...
Not the usual ones I got from here.So I don't think I've gotten any today. I have another virus called adcash or whatever. Can't figure out how to get rid of it.
The ads have been turned off for most of the day, so that's why you haven't been getting them. We used to use Adcash, but it had really shitty ads and didn't pay well. You might have gotten something from that...

They posted this like 3 hours ago: I’d like to provide the latest on Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and what the team is working on to address the issues you’re experiencing.
Looking at our data logs, server-side adjustments that we have made over the past 24 hours have shown a 20% increase in server connectivity. However, we are well aware that performance is not where it needs to be. Resolving Matchmaking issues also requires client-side fixes, which require a content update. The client side update, which focuses on Matchmaking performance, non-matchmaking bugs, and a variety of title-specific issues, has been completed and is going through testing and certification. We are currently targeting a release of Wednesday 11/19 for this content update. We know the current Matchmaking experience is frustrating, and we continue to have various teams working 24/7 to isolate and resolve the issues to provide the best experience as soon as possible. We are going to continue to optimize the matchmaking experience after next week's content update, and make further adjustments as needed. We thank you for your continued patience.

Considering the amount of votes, I would say that running two lobbies is probably the best option. Quite a few of us don't have the xbone yet.
We'll probably switch between the two at some point if the votes stay pretty much even.
Well seeing as lobbies can hold 16 players and both options have 17 votes...
I see where you're going with this...

Why not Halo 3 on 360?
We tried that and lasted like...3 custom games until we switched over to Reach. The netcode is just turrible compared to Reach and 4 and people (like Sandtrap) became fucking Nightcrawler, jumping all over the goddamn map.

Halo 2 > Halo Reach > Halo 3 > Halo CE > ODST > Halo 4
This couldn't be more wrong, though. ODST > 3 > CE > 2 > 4 > Reach ^Fact
I am kind of finding out I...like Halo 4 a lot. Mantis aside, BR fights are amazing and on a smaller, arena-sized map it plays very well. Playing around corners with hologram and wetwork is a lot of fun. But I really hate auto flag-pickup and flinching, as well as everyone having sprint. I'd go Halo 2 > Halo 3 > Halo 4 > Halo: Reach > Halo CE, as I never really got into the first game's multiplayer like I did Halo 2 and onward.

Since nobody has really gotten a game night together for a while, I figured I would just go ahead and schedule a date for one. As long as a sizable party can be made, I'd like to schedule the game night a week from today on:
Saturday, November 22nd (5:00pm – midnight CST) for Halo: Reach
Sunday, November 23rd (5:00pm – midnight CST) for Master Chief Collection.
Since I know a lot of people don't yet have an Xbox One, I would be fine playing Halo 4 or Reach on the 360, but I wanted to get everyone's vote on that one. If you plan on showing up, then vote for the option you'd like best.
EDIT: removing Halo 4 as an option, since it has no votes and you guys seem to want either Reach or MCC.
EDIT: Changed start time to 5:00pm CST, two hours before the original time.

I'll open up the sep7agon, and automatically be redirected to a page that starts flooding my computer with shit that downloads automatically with no permission. All of it gets flagged as malware and other nice stuff.
That's not cool Cheat. You'd better have a sit down with our ad service provider.
Here's their reply (at least they're looking into it and responded to me) Hello -
Thanks for reaching out about this issue. We are currently researching this issue in an effort to track down and remove these ads from serving within our network. Any additional information you can provide would be helpful as well.
Please let us know if you have any questions in the meantime.
Thanks!
