Where do we check to know if were mythic or not?
Are you on mobile or something?

Well yeah, I suppose such a thing might be possible, but wouldn't that be just like brainwashing? It's not "real," but the subject has been zonked into feeling as such. Kinda like repression?

If I knew how to write Android apps, I'd gladly do it...but I don't...

:(

Does Apple not have a third-party store like F-Droid for Android apps?
For jailbroken devices, yeah, but to even start the process of making a legit app, you have to pay $100 or more to become a "developer." It's really dumb.
>admits that apple is shit

>still uses apple
I'm mostly on your side of things when it comes to developing for iPhones. The small upside is less of a chance for malicious apps infecting your shit. I don't think I'll ever be an Android Fag, though.

Maybe if cheat wasn't a lazy nigger and learned some Java but noooooo that's too hard  :'(
An app would be annoying to create (and get into the App Store, which costs money) and needs to be redownloaded each time there's an update (and needs to be approved by Apple before each version goes live).

Web is the way to go.
>implying anyone wants a shitty Apple app

We're talking Android here
The mobile userbase is like half and half though.
>implying Apple fags should even be acknowledged
Sucks for you that the owner of the site is an Apple fag, then. :P

Serious / Re: Intelligent people, how do you know you're not stupid?
« on: January 15, 2015, 12:24:34 AM »
I look at the evidence in front of me. Depending on how intelligent people are, they act differently. And a clear cut example of this is easy to spot on a worksite. Where one person would simply do as asked, in a simple manner, another will actively think ahead, spot things, and move before asked.
I would say that's more being lazy than dumb, to be honest, but I see the point you're trying to make.

Yeah the location of the PM button is god awful. Not sure who ever thought that was a good idea
It was Isara. I've already let her know that it needs to be swapped with the search bar (which will be placed in the left menu).

Alright, I've just decided to let you guys have at it with the wiki on the Sep7agon domain (http://wiki.sep7agon.net). Guests can edit/add pages and the memberlist is editable by anyone registered.

So on the off chance the wikia Class made gets nuked... :)

I think I have to lock this. Sorry.

Ah, changing your rules now that mine had the better initial ones...

Well, at least mine still isn't bound by the forum's rules.
No, you just misunderstood why I blocked you.

You edited a page which was supposed to be protected and I had to lock that shit down. I'll admit I panicked a bit.

But other than that registered accounts are free to edit.
I don't care that you blocked me. I made the other wiki because yours initially didn't allow anyone to make an article, just admins.

But, like Nasty said, mine's better anyway. Do you think half of the pages on the Sep7 Wiki would be allowed on the "official" one?
If you register, you can edit/make articles. The only restrictions are on protected pages (like the front page).

Am I the only one who didn't know about this? We need rad member pages on there.
Yep. That's a thing now. :P

Serious / Re: Some opinions on attending internet classes
« on: January 13, 2015, 08:41:28 PM »
If you aren't self-motivated, online classes will murder you. I took a database class online because I wanted to know SQL stronger than I do, but the first half of it was Access and I basically started half-assing my assignments so I could get back to fun things.

It just didn't feel important.

The Flood / Re: New Rank Brainstorm
« on: January 13, 2015, 08:35:54 PM »
i dont like the idea of rank = # of posts, because some people just spam to up their count.
Eh, yeah, but at the same time the "rank" is the least important part of your complete title. It's just words and has little play in your prefix and title bar color.
But the prefix is based pretty much entirely on post count too.
No.
Then why do we need 3000 posts for Legendary?
Just because that's one of the factors, that doesn't mean it's entirely based on post count.
Doesn't matter - It still means your prefix is decided by your post count. i.e If you don't have x# of posts, you can't have this prefix.

And anyway, I thought Cheat was making the upvoting system redundant.
I don't see your point. What you said earlier is still false.
Your rank is determined by your overall activity, and posting is part of being active.
The original complaint was that achieving higher ranks with more posts leads to spamming. I don't see how post count only being a part of your prefix makes a difference.
It's one of the ceilings you need to reach to qualify, but your post count has little to do with it once you have 3000 posts.

It's your behavior and activity at that point.

Also, the "check the rules" link at the bottom left of each page is broken. The URL misses a : and now links to a dead page.
Fixed.

I don't think you quite understand what I did with the change to the trust system (which is understandable, considering it's supposed to be kinda a secret).

It's not an immunity. Downvotes count for less on high-ranked-people to keep the ratio more or less even. Before, you had this unstable teeter-totter effect where a high-ranked user would rapidly fall a rank (or two, depending on how many downvotes) when they received downvotes.

And that's because each post you make when you have like 8000 of them counts for very little in comparison to a downvote. So to make it more stable, I set benchmarks that would gradually water down downvotes as you climb the ranks, so you aren't weighted down by them as they are accumulated during your posting career.
I'm not saying that ten people in one day downvoting should drop someone's rank. I'm saying that something in the range of 50 or 100 within a short amount of time could have an impact.
I get what you're saying, and we had something like that in the beginning. Basically what happened was people created alts and then downvoted a few users every day for shits and giggles.

It's not exactly a secret that I've moved the Trust system further away from a pure Karma + or - equation, and essentially the reason was asshole jerk faces who decided to cause mayhem with user's titles.

It's not a system that is likely to be overhauled again, as it has been working successfully for a few months, now. I'm open to changing a few of the values and the scales a bit, but going back to the first or second version of the trust system isn't going to happen (probably).

Why did Loaf get mad today? ._.
Who gives a shit. The universe has already made up it's mind. They have already prepared me for the harvest. In a short matter of time I will probably be culled from this website to promote a nicer, more efficient environment.
wat
The mods are gonna ban me. That is what I am trying to say. They want vengeance. They want to take away my privilege for using this website. They will ban me and hope that I am meeker when I come back. It's their way of saying "we hate you, and we will feel better if you suffer".
I don't know about the mods, but I don't go out of my way to look for reasons to ban people. There's not a ban or warn quota or anything...

Septagon / Re: How come I can receive PMs from ignored users?
« on: January 13, 2015, 03:19:29 PM »
Can you mute mods?

If so, that's probably a reason why, so you can't miss any moderator PM's.
It's not a mod that was muted. Just a normal user.
I'll look into it.
