And Chief doesn't show up on Locke's. Neat little find here.

It's the reason (if you were around for the very first DDoS) that outages with this host don't last very long and usually don't down the site completely.Putting up a separate site to test would do no good, since they share the same server. All of my sites were down during the outage (still not sure it was an attack, guys). We had a good run.TBH this was a rather weak DDoS, if it was one. The other one lasted hours upon hours. 2553

I'm not sure it was a DDoS, but I've reported the issue to the host, so they'll be able to handle the rest of the investigation of whatever the hell the problem was.

It's not a glitch; I've been tinkering with new notification colors since it kind of broke once Isara brought over Sep7 2.0. The red likely won't be the final color.

News / The End of Anarchy (or is it?)« on: March 30, 2015, 03:38:11 PM »
First of all, note the day this was posted; it's not a bad April Fool's joke, guys.
Anarchy, as of this moment, will no longer be opening up every month. Of course I didn't want to do this; the first few Anarchy's were incredibly entertaining, both in the amount of people participating and the multitude of strange threads that were created. It was chaos and it was beautiful. Unfortunately, these last couple rounds have been both stagnant and detrimental to the forum. Truth is: people aren't participating as much as they were three or four rounds ago, and it's been on a steady decline. Coupled with that are the hurt feelings and grudges that live on after Anarchy ends. In theory, asking you all to compartmentalize your Anarchy experience from your Sep7agon experience worked, but in practice, the more vocal and naughty members carry over some of that into both on and off-site places. And so I've decided to shut it down all together, until such a time comes that the board could be fun for everybody again. And with the coming plans of private groups, the board begins to become extremely obsolete. Feel free to complain in here or leave some comments; if you have any threads in Anarchy that would not be prohibited outside of it, you can request that they be moved. 2570

Serious / Re: "Ford’s new car automatically slows down when it sees a speed limit sign."« on: March 30, 2015, 01:05:45 AM »Yeah, I suppose. I just never saw the point in speeding, really (especially speeding that much; it's points on your license, mate, if you get caught).Or if you're on roads where the speed limit is 25mph to 35mph. Going 10-15 miles above the limit instantly shaves off at least a third of the driving distance, so it saves me several minutes.I usually go 2MPH under the speed limit or right at it, so it wouldn't affect me, really. In town, the difference in time spent driving is negligible, and only slightly lower on the short drive into town. You'd have to be driving for like 2 hours to see a difference...If they do this, then how will the cops make money? But really, that's pretty neat. How is this neat at all? The fear of getting that $100 or more fine for going just a bit faster swayed me away from the practice, and I find that if I give myself enough time, I have no need to rush. 2574
