I've made some changes to the code on the front page after realizing it wasn't behind an iframe. When you guys were being redirected, was it on the front page or somewhere else?

Yeah, guys I really do need screenshots of the app it redirects you to. It helps show the ad service what is going on, as this stuff is completely out of my hands.

If you can wait a little bit more then that would be great. I thought I had time to finish up a fix, but that wasn't the case, sadly. I am dealing with some uni work, and I am almost done. So it'll happen. I am also terribly sorry for the delay in the reply.

So hey how much longer until mobile gets fixed?
Well you know...the issue has only existed since 2.0 came out. lol
The only thing that's broken for me is the pm placement.

What are all these issues I keep hearing you guys complain about?
The navigation breaks on certain devices due to the JavaScript.

Eh. I'd really rather they not have so many cosmic-level characters in the X-Men/F4 universe. That's kind of like jumping the shark immediately.

It's a problem with some of the recent ads and was reported by another member as well. Can you send me a screenshot of the app it's sending you to so I can report it?

Just so you know it happened on Chrome too, and was worse.

If it happens again i'll snap a pic.
Well I would assume it would, since they're contextual and depend on what you've been looking up as well as what is on the page.

What app did it redirect you to? Can I get a screenshot so I have something to give to the ad network?

Is this going to be another one of those movies that people say something like "I thought it was going to be shit too, but it was amazing, you need to see it right now." about it?
No. It has a few good scenes, but most of it was just average.

Well I mean, today was when I installed SMF, but it could hardly be called Sep7agon at that point.
Do you have any screenshots of how it looked in that state? Or didn't it even have an userface at that point?
Yeah, I can show you the theme that I built around. Hold on a second...

It was alright. It's a very quiet movie but I thought it was very decent.

Ban oil. Move 70% or so of money per year for defense to the space program.

Best marvel movie yet, easy.
got a poster too. it was cool.
...it was above average, but it was in no shape or form better than Guardians or Winter Soldier.
I dunno, I thought it was REALLY good.
The story wasn't very...I guess cohesive is the word. It was just a bit rough and the bad guy was just a cookie cutter evil-highly-motivated-scientist.

It was good, but I didn't leave the movie feeling wowed or anything like I usually do with Marvel films.

Septagon / Re: What is the ignore list for?
« on: July 16, 2015, 10:15:51 AM »
It's the mute system for this site.

But how does it work?

I can still see people I've put on my Ignore list posts.
It should spoiler their posts.

But it doesn't. I'm guessing no one uses it, therefore these problems have been overlooked.
Mods and admins are immune, but anyone else gets their posts spoilered. I just tested it and it is working as designed. Are you sure you're adding users to the ignore list and not he buddy list?

The exclamation point is never popping up.
What's goin on?
Hard refresh. If that isn't fixing it, please test this on another browser and tell me what happens (also, what browser are you using?).

I switch between Safari and google(for some stupid reason.) so i'll switch to Chrome and see what happens.

Aaaaand it's working on Chrome, i'll just stay on Chrome.
Safari on mobile or desktop?

Septagon / Re: i think there should be a new poll on moderation style
« on: July 15, 2015, 01:04:23 AM »
should be strict
no
yeah, though

i mean it really is "fine" the way it is (some consistent moderation would be nice), but if it changes at all, it should tend towards more strict
hugbox lover pls go and stay go
You do realize it's possible to have stricter rules without making it a hugbox, right?
stricter rules would kill this place even more because everyone would either leave because it's boring, or be banned because they broke the new hugbox rules.

Consistency of the current system is the best way.

If we want more new people, we've gotta chill out on some things
This is true. While at the same time, we can't force a radical change, as that would force a lot of the current members out. It'll likely need to be a slight change in the rules and moderation practices.

The Flood / Re: Would you rather
« on: July 15, 2015, 12:32:04 AM »
I am also bored. Let's do this.

would you rather own a small website that relies on donations, or have a normal website that relies on ads? why?
As long as I was getting enough money to pay for the site + a little extra, I don't think it would matter that much to me.

Donations are really nice and allow the site to be free of the visual annoyances and content restrictions of ads, while ads allow the site to live without the users being obligated to pay. So...maybe both. A site with an ad that can be disabled with a donation.
