There's like only 10 people here dude. This entire site is THE group.
Multiply that by about 7 or 8. Not everyone is online all the time.
And when these people are online the site still feels dead and empty. There's been a few times where we had at least two dozen people online and hardly anybody was posting.
Thats really beyond my power. I can't force you guys to post.

This is on the list of things to fix, by the way. I'm in agreement that it's ill-placed.

So if they want to use humans for power, why is there cancer or war in the Matrix?
Wouldn't the machines want them to live longer?
Those are apparently part of the "imperfections" that the humans in the first matrix needed to believe it.

It's a thing that's been around for a few months now, I think the chances of it happening are under 1/100.
Way, way under 1/100. Not that I know anything about that...

Or you could just remember the html and just type it out by hand -.-
It's actually BBCode. HTML is the stuff that the BBCode renders as; It's the "pure" form. (not that it's relevant...but...)

I don't want you to think I was ignoring this idea; I've just had other stuff to do. I will look into this when I get around to that area of the site, but it may not be for a while, as I'd have to change every single tag individually, most likely.

Don't be upset; those aren't iPhones. At least, they're not legitimate ones.
Are you positive? Because if you are, I'm about to put him on full blast.
I take apart iPhones as a hobby. I've never seen one like that. The backs are nothing like the 6 or 6+. It looks most like an iPod 5th gen or an iPhone 5C, both of which are not that expensive, especially if they're bricked.
I'm going to have my fun with this one
They looked real to me tbh
The dead giveaway is the text below the apple logo. No iPhone in existence has anything right below the apple. It's always further down if it's there at all. iPods, on the other hand, do have the word iPod below the logo.

Yeah they look fake
The buttons are mismatched on nearly all of them, they have the iPod black badge on the upper right of the backside, and that last one even says iPod. I'd guess knockoff Android phones or somebody who really wanted to make themselves look rich.

We don't have the population for groups to work right without them killing the forums. Bnet has the population for groups to be active along with the forums as well. The only thing they would do is split up the population on a site that has hardly anybody to begin with. The other thing is that groups are going to be pointless until we get a population due to there being a decent amount of groups with hardly anybody posting in them. One group may have most of the population posting in it and for the others they are just there taking up space.
I feel like I've regurgitated the answer to this concern like 10 times. I'm not about to risk the forum for groups.

I'll consider these tomorrow's goals:
1. Finish WordPress theme I've been working on. 2. Work on groups or some other broken thing on Sep7. 3. Start work on elaborate ruse web app.

IE is trash though
No, not really. It's my preferred browser.
A few years ago it was the bane of web developers. A lot of users didn't realize how shitty it was made, though. Microsoft basically ignored all the standards for rendering HTML that the other browsers used, but since so many people used it, devs were forced to cater to it.

First of all, as I explained to you, you were not the only one I let know that your avatar or nameplate had to go. I wasn't singling you out over it and I didn't remove it to spite you. Yeah, it's true that that image and the nameplate you have on currently were part of a very strange and provocative advertisement that ran a few times during the transitional period where I was experimenting with different ad services, since we got kicked from Adsense at the time. That ad in general has never been safe for work; as I said, and the entire reason you guys even started to turn it into a meme, was because it was so provocative and out of place in the group of ads that usually ran. I'm not perfect, and it was sort of in a blind spot for me since I am familiar with the image that it didn't even register for me that it might not be a good idea for an avatar, but as was discussed in Nuka's nameplate thread, these custom nameplates and avatars need to be held to a higher standard than posted images. Why? Believe it or not, I don't personally care about it. Comms used to spam me with ISIS beheading pictures and I didn't really give a shit. It's not about me, it's about the image of the site and what its limits should be. Guests browse this site and some of them happen to be in public places (or hell, more importantly current members browse the site in public places) and these things show up in every post and cannot be spoilered. There's also the host to consider. Bluehost doesn't allow graphic content to be shown on sites hosted by them; and while so far this stuff doesn't qualify, I don't want to set a precedent that you can just throw whatever the hell you want in your avatar and have it be okay because "muh freedom." Which brings me to another reason: I own the site. Maybe you think I'm a shit moderator and maybe you don't care, but I do make the rules. I'm really very sorry you feel slighted by this and are quitting, but these very forgiving and lenient avatar and nameplate restrictions are going to happen. I don't know if I answered all your points, so I'll post this and check the OP again and answer any questions you have here (or you can PM me).
On community management: Yeah, I'm currently the only one running things behind the scenes and that combined with real life has made my role there very thin. Isara is MIA, so it is true that the community management has been lagging behind. That's something that could be looked at, since we really do need someone that can be dedicated to it.

Been working on them, but it's a slow process as Isara isn't around to help and I keep running into issues with the original script (right now users can't edit their own posts in groups).
How would group moderation work?
A user will be admin of the group, but only in that specific group. Site mods and admins will still have powers over them.
Pretty much this. When they're done, the group owner will be able to create admins and mods, who can ban, lock posts, and hide posts. There will also be 7 security roles you can use as a ranking system with corresponding nameplates and colors. It'll be tight.

I couldn't get over that incessant background laughter
AH HA HA HA HA HA!
I had the impression she was intentionally laughing loudly to try and drown out some of what he was saying so he would shut up.

Thanks to another black-kid-turned-martyr incident...Jesus Christ, can we just nuke Ferguson please?
No. Do you want me to die?
Why the hell are you still there? Are you black?
I don't live in Ferguson, but I'm close enough that a nuke would probably mutate me to hell. I've been in the neighborhood, though, and it's pretty run down. All the shops have glass in front of the counters.

I think I've posted a picture in this thread but I'll go again.
That's pretty cool, actually.
thx!
I didn't have time to work on my prosthetic arm but when I go to the midnight release of the game dressed as BB, it won't matter.
why won't it?
Because I got the Limited Edition that comes with the prosthetic arm. I'll just put my arm in my sleeve or something.
Saw off your arm to prove you're the number 1 fan.

What antivirus do you use?
Avast
Avast is known to give false positives in regard to advertisements here. That's not to say we've never had a shitty ad that redirected or tried to give someone malware (those few days with the really bad ad publisher after Adsense sucked), but those are few and far between. The worst that will likely happen is a redirect if you're on mobile.
