We always say to fight fire, you must use fire. This is wrong. Fighting fire with fire will leave scars and a new flame will rise. We must instead use water. It is the opposite of fire, it extinguishes the fire, it cools, it refreshes, it heals. We are made up of 70% water, we are not made up of 70% fire. Please practice what we truly are
After the last D&D session where our level three characters got wiped out by three Ogres.. (My character literally exploded or vanished into the ground, because he had 1 hp and was dealt 17)

My little D&D group decided star wars is the next theme.

Who and what should I play as? I doubt we are going to follow the move/book story line, but it'll either take place in the same, or alternate universe.

I'm also trying to find the online sources for it.

What rule set are you going by?

Personally, I like taking the role of the ship pilot. Do nothin' but role dice for flying, and everyone depends on you to stay alive.

Plus, if the GM lets you, you can go do some shit to earn credits while the group is off dicking around.

The DM ordered the books for it so its something new to even the DM.

However,  I am into the story, the events and the drama aspect of D&D.. Combat is seen as a nice break for me.

The greatest failing of my life is that I don't have enough friends to play DnD.

Or any friends at all for that matter.

Well there's always the possibility of playing DnD online with a forum community you may know...
As for the other problem... can't help you with that.
