Anyone have any tips for the game? I've started playthroughs in the past but never actually finished them. Furthest I've gotten is returning the water chip to Vault 13.

You either die a hero or live long enough to become Mythic..
I couldn't help you there.

I still have Fallout 2 untouched in my Steam library.

So upon leaving Vault 13, I completely cleared the cave of rats. I left for Vault 15 and stopped by the town of Shady Sands, who'd been having trouble with Radscorpions and Raiders recently. I agreed to help them, and spoke to their town doctor. He said he needed a sample of the Radscorpion poison to work on an antidote. I took a look around the town, spoke with the locals and met Ian, a former caravan guard who I managed to persuade into coming with me. I picked up some rope and a sledgehammer before leaving.

Instead of going to Vault 15, I returned to Vault 13 to find that some citizens were planning to rebel against the Overseer. Luckily, I talked them out of it. Everyone is beginning to get stressed due to the shortage of water.

I reached a shack with Ian to find it being guarded by a lone Radscorpion. We killed it with ease, and I took the tail. We climbed down a ladder in the shack to get to Vault 15, infested with Molerats. These weren't too hard to get rid of, and I found myself some leather armour and an SMG. There was no water chip here, but the loot made the journey worthwhile.

Returning to Shady Sands, I gave the Radscorpion tale to the doctor. He managed to whip up an antidote for me. I went with Ian to the Radscorpion cave and killed everything inside. Shady Sands were grateful for that.

decent game so far tbh fem

Some tips

Save often. This is an old RPG that's unforgiven. If you enter a new city, save.

Save before you lockpick someone. It's cheating, but you can often get a better gun early on that way.

Get a water caravan to them to extend the time of the game for you

And uhhh... idk, the rest you'll just have to enjoy and find yourself.

Spoiler
Doesn't getting the water caravan decrease the amount of time you get in the later part of the game?

I don't... think so? I'm not sure, but I don't believe so.

Every person you see you should steal their money, weapon and ammo. That way you have a weapon or at least something to sell for whatever. Save before you steal from someone.
