I don't see amiibo as bad, because they aren't necessary to enjoy the games they go with. Like smash for example.

It mostly seems like an inconsequential feature, and obviously doesn't have the impact Nintendo were hoping for. Mostly just seems like they're just shipping games with Amiibo support because they built a fucktonne when they were certain it would be a popular feature, and had no choice but to try and sell them because they lost money in the build and need to make it back. Let's not forget that some of the figures are just visual abominations.
