It was the first Halo game I played. First thing I ever played was CTF on Coagulation at my neighbor's house. I was amazed at the banshee, vehicles, weapons, everything. Then I played the campaign mission "Outskirts" and that basically solidified me getting the game.

I remember H2 having a mind-numbingly boring campaign. But the underlying mechanics are objectively the most broken of any Halo game. Dual-wielding largely negates the need for melee or grenades, bullet magnetism is through the roof, Gauss Hog is the only good Warthog... off the top of my head.

Halo 5 may not have much going for it at launch, but the mechanics are mostly solid.
