The point of creating and selling games is to make money. Content, as in cinematics, story, and large environments, cost money to produce. Bungie took a risk by launching a new title, because there is no guarantee they would make a profit. The content is light compared to other titles, to ensure they can turn a good profit for their efforts. A good profit means more Destiny and Bungie titles, and Bungie doesn't go out of business, like so many other game companies.

Eris hid in tunnels under the Moon until should could find someone strong enough to kill him, you!Not great to be honest, the Vault of Glass story is more interesting.

I swear, the Traveler might as well not even be in the game...Yep, there was a mission based on Rasputin, the warmind, which again, would be really interesting, but it's just a "protect him from bad guys" mission, you learn literally nothing else about him.
Destiny DLC first mission is three minutes long
